i come to this part of the wasteland occasionally to help protect other people from Krills or just distract the Krills in general. (Im always standing by the golden boi near the campfire), sad to see someone abandon this poor moth there!

I usually leave my moths friends in the krill place that so they can learn how to avoid them by themselves, but I usually give them tips on what to do and swoop in to distract the krill if they get caught. I’d never do it for entertainment though.

As someone that's played since last September, never leave a moth behind. If that were me and I dropped my moth I would immediately go back and find them. I've taken krill hits to protect other players. Sad not all players are like this.

typically a vet will lead a moth through the first part of eden and then let the moth carry off on their own in the final part of eden so they don’t have to lose their stuff
the first part of eden is definitely difficult and scary and is usually where new players get help because of the rocks and wind, after that it’s really straightforward
@@fungistfied5197 well they left me during the rocky part, way before theyd lose their wing light. but I dont have any ill will towards them, anything could've happened 😅 and now I go to eden all the time
@@wolf-kissedrosie69 Aww that's so sweet! I once got adopted by a veteran after I tried to get this spirit and repeatedly got krilled. Tbh, I was laughing to the point I could barely breathe every time the krill would send me flying. But thankfully that vet was there otherwise I would've lost the spirit. Afterwards they took me around the maps and to many places I didn't know exist. They're in my friend list now and we light each others candles all the time.
Poor moth. I hope they kept playing after meeting such terrible people. I'm lucky that I haven't met anyone mean like that since I started playing. I feel sorry for the moth. :(

I saw many (can't say they're veteran) player like to do that to moth and posting it on social media, thinking it was funny. I have thought, they may got the same treatment(?) when they were still moth too so they did the same thing to new player, and creating a never ending cycle, bullying moth.

That moth was me. I remember asking around for help because when I got here and I was so confused. I finally got these two veteran skykids to guide me but instead they just used me as a krill toy, it was super scary. When you came and saved me and after we talked I decided not to drop the game and now I've made many friends and have made many fond memories here, thank you for helping out ♥

I feel terrible guiding moths through Eden and then having to leave them at the No Return door. How can people bully them? How do you expect to meet nice players when you’re not nice to them when they start out? We were all moths once. There’s no shame in being new, it just means everything is exciting to them. You shouldn’t bully moths for not knowing everything in the game, you should teach them and let them explore the game themselves.
Amen! Fuck I'm still a moth transitioning to a semi experienced player and I love helping younger moths when I can. It's satisfying to lead them to new things! I know I personally enjoy it when I run into veterans, just went through eden my second time (first on my switch) and had been awhile since I touched the game and had a vet accompany me when everyone else ditched me

Went through 2 more runs since the post, both helping moths (one run was my friend who hadn't done eden before) and both got them close to the max candles they could get, tho my friend was a little short because he wouldn't stop being passive in the later parts of sacrifice and kept going left side to right and wasted a bit of light (they ended up throwing) but still got..roughly 8 candles. The other moth got near 10 I believe. I'm...still struggling to help through battlefield but I can say I've shown them how to hold their own and couldn't be anymore prouder! 💯 hope ya one day grow your wings and get to lead the next generation of moths through their eden run!

When I was still a moth, I met this stranger, she befriend me then lead me through wasteland, she guide me to find winged lights, spirits, and candles. When we got caught by Krills she would immediately let go of me then distract the Krill, sadly she never played again after like, 2 or 3 months later. It's sad to see there's still people like this who ditch moths at GW.

I hate leading moths through eden. Not cus they're a pain, but for the pain i feel when leading them through the final area. Especially through the final section where you have to keep moving, hearing their calls after getting separated as i move foward dying. Its like an anime ending that makes me cry everytime

Just last night I was in eden with a friend and we saw someone struggling at the beginning part. Took a closer look to help and they were CAPELESS. We helped them as much as we could, but after a while they ran off and we couldn't find them. Every like = one prayer
At first I thought that maybe it was a pro playing an alt for some kind of a challenge, but they seemed to be very confused about what was happening so idk

I did a social experiment by alt account, according to several gameplay as a beginner:
Results:
Out of 294 players I’ve interacted with and are pairs, at 28 will lead you into dangerous situations, and 21 will actually help out with basic and intermediate stuff, and 29 will ignore you.
Out of 294 players I’ve interacted with and are in groups (4 and above), 15 will lead you into bizarre places that you cannot enter due to low quest and constellation requirements, 11 will leave you mid-game, 29 will ignore you.
Out of 294 players I’ve interacted with and are solo veterans, 35 will help you (until eye of eden usually), 27 will troll, 16 will help with quest and candle collection, 18 will ignore you.
Out of 294 players I’ve interacted with and are new players, 24 are somewhat clueless, 15 will do their own thing and will drag you around, 10 are actually considered experienced, 16 will ignore you.
I cant say these are as accurate as my confidence in math but it’s what me and my veteran friend did for 2 years (I’ve only been playing for a month and my veteran friend was the one to actually start such an experiment)

I sometimes sit and wait on that rock formation near the big plant and look out for players if they need help or distract a krill for them when they've been spotted since i dont have any probles avoiding them with 156 WL.
So if you see a chibi sitting just chilling on top a rock, chances are that thats me xD

I only started playing during the Aurora concert and my first trip to Wasteland I had the camera angled away and missed that first krill killing the manta. So I saw this cool floating thing and went "ooooo what that" and *flew directly towards it.* Once the light turned red I knew I messed up and there were a bunch of honks offscreen, but I was too slow and it got me. Thankfully the honks were veteren players who saw the whole thing and rescued me. I was so grateful that now I try to help out anyone who looks lost or has the hands over them. I can't imagine being so cruel as to dump someone there with no warning.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who honks repeatedly to communicate in the game (be it excitement, danger, sadness...)

3 years back when i first entered wasteland with a group of veterans i got really fascinated by the krills flying around so I let go their hands and flew straight towards one of the krills i lost so many wings and i learnt my lesson ur experience was similar to mine lol

So disappointing how some people treat new players, especially in a map like wasteland. People who do the kind of stuff that this poor person experienced are why some people leave the game before they can even begin to enjoy it.
Its not even new players at this point no ones safe. One time I had a pair glitch through a flour player door when we need one person as we had 3. They glitched inside and out. After that they laughed at the fact we weren't able to get through and just stayed there teasing us. I ended up just ignoring and going on. That was my first experience with messed up players it doesn't happen that often but when it does you feel kinda confused lol. The community has taken quite a turn recently.
Shout-out to the veteran who helped me find every single spirit in Wasteland first run. And shout-out (derogatory) to the person who left me in EDEN 💀
im a newby and i dont even wanna touch eden, i saw how something lowered down maybe my level and people there never help, it's like the land of no one😭😭 there was some person with me and my wings snapped and they were so close but just kept running wtf
Shout out to my uber. Because of them, I don't even know that forest and wasteland could kill you. That's how skillful in avoiding krills they are.

I met many rude moths but I never dreamed of leaving them alone in eden or in the golden Wasteland to have a laugh. I know how scary those areas are because when I was a beginner I was traumatized and they still scare me today. Thanks for helping the moff

I hear about people who intentionally bully newer players and I don't get it. I know it's fun to joke around but when it's a stranger and they're new it just seems unfair. I avoided making friends until I got a decent amount of experience because of this and I'm still a bit cautious. Edit: not to mention it could be a literal child on the other side of the screen.
I was an assembly moth, and I had this happen to me as well. Vets would take me to graveyard and ditch me a lot of times when I thought they were helping. It made me frustrated, and made me lose trust and intrest in the game. When I finally unlocked Eden I got scared of it, and a vet yet again tormented me by throwing me into the rocks. I quit for like 6 months, I don't regret coming back as I've made a lot of friends. Please don't actually bully moths, there's jokingly saying stuff, but don't actually do it.

But they aren't entitled to guide you through the end because going to the end area means that they will lose wings too, and it's exhausting to constantly collect it all over again, some people just don't wanna go to the end point but wants to help. It's understandable why they won't go there, it's not mean. It's not like they purposely left you on a dangerous rocky area or anything lolz, but that might be a little shocking for you at first so i understand hehe

being a moth is tough, i'm prone to getting lost. i thought they were npc so i went apk only to return and find out my first ever veteran friend waited and protected me. on my second day of playing another veteran found me when i got lost and took me to eden. they said I'll die and i was confused cause why? they said they're my mom now. they're kind and help me a lot. and when i went to eden alone, i ran into another moth and we helped each other out then they dissapered. but it's all good.

How nice.. I'm a moth, and while I was struggling in this area, I saw some players def saw me struggling, dying. But nobody helped me. I lost my wings multiple times, and had to bulldoze my way through, alone, through sheer willpower. But man, did I felt like crying.

I can understand why some players leave moths. Some moths are already veteran players disguising themselves so to some it feels like they wasted their time, others just continue on anyways. But to see a moth left alone intentionally is kinda sad. We should be welcoming new players and helping them if they're in trouble, otherwise they'll stop playing. There's a time and place for trolling and it's not this... 😓
my first horror in the game was the rain but i found my first ever friend there as she helped me find spirits and wl in the hidden forest. she even showed me the forest with no rain.
my second horror was when i got lost in wasteland! (not the krill bc i immediately understood how that thing works lol) i went circles and ended up in the starting line HAHAHAHA. that's where i met my third friend who is also a moth. we finished golden wasteland and vault of knowledge together. every time we saw each other online, we follow each other and show our progress like the new emotes we got. sadly tho i'm quite busy now and she seems to have made a lot of friends now (which is honestly good)

I'm a moth who never dare to go to wasteland on my own. But then I found this veteran who held my hand, purposefully stand in front of the krill, and then dodged it, neither of us lost any wings. I was sooo amazed like "that's possible?? I thought once you're in the red light, you have to accept the faith that you will lose wing"
Anyways, I am still in my moth days and that veteran doesn't play with me anymore, I'm still scared of wasteland. But at least I know someday I'll be able to do what that vet did.
I am also very busy now and have little to no time for playing Sky, but I hope I can arrange my schedule in the near future and spent maybe an hour everyday to hang out in Sky because this game brings me joy. And I hope you'll be able to do that as well.
Same. My first horror is also the rain. I failed to fly onto the jellyfish creatures to reach the elder temple and my wings lost all the energy as well. Thankfully someone was near me and when I offered a light to her she received. Now we're friends 😂

Yea normally i don't friend moths unless they friend me first cuz ive already got all these moths in my constellation that never came back :,)
But if i notice a player that doesnt follow the usual cr route in wasteland, ik its def a moth so i just fly over to light em and bring them to the end of wasteland. Im not letting the large prawns touch any moth i grab smh

This is why I love sky, almost everyone is so nice and considerate. People will friend you in eden just to hold your hand and help you through, or they help you after you get krilled. You can practice your music around them a totally mess it up, and they'll still applaud for you. Thank you for being so kind to this moth, you are really representing how sky truly is. And what, people play with the krills? I could never 😰 I'm really bad at dodging them if I get caught, plus they're scary, and I don't want to lose all my hard-earned winged light!
I was doing eden once and helping one moth. By the time we got to the krill, I was swarmed by like 5 moths just running around in chaos. I don't want to risk my WL (because moths doesn't know how to hide) and they would probably go near me while in a krill's vision and the krill would ended up charging towards me and I would lose WL as well so I abandoned all of them. I kinda feel bad but leading 5 moths is impossible
OK SO- if you have enough cape star thingies then you can fly away from it, and when they charge at you, THEY PASS STRAIGHT THrOUGH- its reccomended to have at least 8-9 cape stars if ya wanna try that though, so try jumping to quickly get to your hiding place.

@@ProjectNetoku The big dark things shown in the first part of the video. they're hard to outfly, your best bet is to put some level geometry between them and you. Lore wise, we don't really know what they are other than they partially caused an apocalypse and they hate us.
When I played the game for the first time Golden wasteland was the point I thought I'll delete the game until a massiha came and carried me through the entier golden wasteland, I still can't thank that person enough, now I often visit golden wasteland and help moths guide spirits and collect flights

Seeing this kind of scenario suddenly makes me feel how lucky I am when I was a moth. A lot of good players helped me despite of me being annoying HAHAHAH. I don't know. Maybe, sky players were not that toxic at that time.

honestly im glad i had the chance to learn how to play by myself. i can't imagine trusting someone else to help me only for them to do that. and whether or not this particular instance was staged as some of you claim, a lot of the comments prove that this has been an issue for a while and some people even think it's funny. folks could have anxiety, fear of bugs, etc., and while it isn't possible to know everyone's situation through a video game, i think it'd pay off a lot more if folks would be considerate. it may be funny to you but it could be terrifying to others.
No joke. My little moth is terrified of the dark. I found them on their first day playing sky, and they almost quit as soon as they saw the monsters ahead in GW. But I noticed them, and how they seemed to be a young player, and took them under my wing to keep them safe.
It's been months now since that. I was only a month old myself at the time, and now we're the best of friends. She's still scared to go to GW alone, but we have a big group of friends who do everything they can to keep her safe. She's even started trying to explore GW on her own from time to time when she feels brave
I am very lucky that my first time in golden wastes was with another moth and we stuck to each other like glue
Same here! I had no idea what I was doing there but the other slightly more experienced moth befriended me and we did the wasteland together for a while, before the server split at least. I wonder if that's why I can't seem to find him online ever.

i knew the sky fandom was wholesome but i never anticipated it being THIS wholesome
i usually play sky with people i know [more often my s/o or best friend, the latter being a vet]
i was playing with my friend who saw me wandering the wasteland and she let me hop on her back to atleast help guide me
what i wasnt prepared for was her accidentally sending a krill towards us and having it smack the light right off me [i was still somewhat of a moth; 4 stars/wedges]
i didnt lose any, thankfully, as we both fell in close range but she was so apologetic about it 😭😭😭
we still play and we're going to go into eden together. but im still scared of GW to this day, it genuinely terrifies me
I have been abandoned so many times I lost count... it sucks and I refuse to do the eye of Eden alone but no one has ever stuck with me long enough to reach the point of no return.
Awww I would love to help you go through Eden if I could. It's so hard to find a moth who wants help because they're too scared of other players. It breaks my heart 🥺

The other day, for the Pleaful Parent daily quest, a poor moth was having so much trouble, so I popped a krill repellant every minute and lead them straight through, leading the spirit without stopping. I felt like a badass lmao

I was hiatus from sky because i lost my account and also i was busy with my study. I just played recently with my new account, i found some players, their veterans, they held my hand and were keep flying near krills, because of that i lost so many lights. I gave them benefit of the doubt, maybe they didn't do it on purpose, but it keep happening. I tried to unlock the chat feature but they wont accept it and that's when i knew something supicious, so i was like 'fudge it!' I left them and flying solo but they were following me. Maybe because i was a moth, they mess with me. Everyone was nicer back then, sky was such a therapeutic game for me, but now not anymore because of those mean players

this is why i dont normally friend people anymore… i was a long hiatus because of my studies too. when i came back, i noticed that only a small amount of the people i knew on sky play nowadays. so i usually always stick to them or solo and never friend new players unless they’re moths 💀 i trust moths more than veterans
This happened to me 4,5 days ago when i first install this game. While I was collecting spirit and wings, there are some spot that i cannot reach due to not enough wings, then there is a player come to me and help me to get those wings, im really happy and appreciate it, and I tried to be friend with them and they said that we can exchange candles, after that they lead me to other place to help me collect wings but they done the same things as the video, I didn't expected that to be happen. They left me at eden :(. I was so scared and then i got hit by a rock, i tried to reach out and come close to them but they just teleport back. Honestly, i almost give up on this game but luckily there is someone who kind enough to help me and even put table out and say "if i miss your spirit or wings just honk aggressively" at that time I was really emotional to their kindness. Not all old player is bad but some of them make vets looks terrible in moth's eyes.
It is possible that they didn't teleport away on purpose. Sometimes the game crashes or a server split happens, and even if you're friends you can't get back into the server because it's full. I hope that was the case and that player didn't abandon you deliberately. 😟

Nobody helping me when i was a moth (still basic btw) when I got to Eden and one player tried to help me but yeah... I didn't know about that red rock thingy so i lost a lot of my wings... She ended up leaving me but i didn't mind tbh... Then the second time is i was trying to go Eden alone and one chibi saw me struggling and yeah helped me go through Eden (she's pro ngl) and we managed to get at the last location of Eden... We bid good bye in the end.

I had a player make me their friend. I’m still a moth and they helped me so much. If anything, majority of players are overcompensating for me. Working their butts off to make sure I don’t die and to lead me. I pray I never have to worry about someone being rude to me or any of my friends.
I want to eventually be as good a player as you vets haha
Veterans like this are the worst. I feel bad if I see a broken light, I don't understand what's funny about making them "die" on purpose, the moths probably take a lot of effort to find the winged lights and they make them lose like this, how nervous. As REAL veterans we must help those in need, not laugh at them.💔
I don't get players that get to send moths to their deaths. Do they just wanna make them uninstall? If that happened to me as a moth i totally would uninstall. That would make my starter experience so bad :( what do they have against these moths? Were they not a moth once too? It's so mean.....
Agreed but these are most likely trolls. Trolls get off on upsetting others, it's like a narcissistic thing, getting enjoyment out of being an a-hole. :/

Brooooo, these poor moth, i feel sorry for him, he looked so traumatized. I also have trauma with krills, but at least a group of Japanese people helped me the first time i went to wasteland.
I found someone who were a moth like me and this guy helped us, tho don't think he was a veteran, but had been through it before as he lead us threw the normal path and then we all helped each other to get through it.
To those who feed moths to krills for no reason, you guys are bullies. I found 3 comments that say they like to do that, ya'll are bullies whoever made the comments.

It’s so weird. Many many players of sky are very kind and well mannered. even if it’s just a game, these interactions still mean A L O T. I only ever encountered one other dick player. I was opening one of those big doors in vault with a few other people and we needed one more person. That one person showed up, taunted us, and OOBed through the door while leaving us behind. Omg I have never been so pissed 😂😭 Point is, it’s rare to encounter these people, and every time I hear about them all I can think of is “there not from around here 🙄”

Considering the amount of which you can MAX claim daily (i heard it's 20, but my own max is 19) that would take a month of grinding every day. Not too much as for me

Man I feel bad, but yesterday I guided a moth as fast and safely through wasteland cause they were honking so much at me, and were even following me in the beginning.
I always ask if they are newbie , if yes , I give them heart each time the warp to me! We help moth grow not hinder them! 😡

When I was new, a veteran found me in the Forgotten Forest.
They helped me through everything up until the Wasteland, when we had a server split.
I figured I could just go through alone. The rest of this game seemed generally harmless, what was the worst that could happen?
I got krilled twice before I figured out how to dodge them.
This krilling moths for fun trend needs to stop. I'm still pretty new, been through Eden twice and I can't stand it when I watch vets leave very new moths in a krills light. They're new, they don't know anything about them yet. It's just plain rude.
If you're with a friend who's a moth and you play like that then it's different, but as vets, stop leading stranger moths into the wasteland to krill them for fun.
