I have never had a family member in the Army, Marines or Navy. But I can still feel the joy and relief of these people. Not only those who are waiting for their loved ones at home, but also those who are serving. Both sides never know if they will ever see each other again. And I always get tears in my eyes when I see this joy of reunion.
@@charlespeyersen1955 However, in my opinion, it is different whether you work for a company and come home every day or risk your life in a foreign country.
Back in the early 60's, I spent over 2 years overseas in the Navy and I will never forget the greeting I got from my Dad and Mom when I got home. I had lost over 50 pounds since my folks last saw me and my Mom cried profusely for quite some time thinking I had been sick (which I wasn't). Dad just kept saying 'son, you are too damn skinny'. Many more surprises from family members and non family members alike on my leave. It was so good to come home if only for 30 days ! Still had 14 more months of Naval obligation to complete.
These always bring tears. We didn't have video when my Dad would come home from Vietnam, Korea, always a joyous occasion. Lost him this year at age 90. Faithful soldier, great Father.
I can watch 10,000 of these and they never get old! Sadly not all homecomings end up like this. Sadly some of the soldiers come home in a flag draped coffin. Sometimes the ultimate sacrifice is hard if not near impossible to fathom! Thank You to all who have served and their families!
I’m 100% disabled veteran struggling with ptsd depression and anxiety watching this cheers me up but the struggle is real ptsd is earned by the brave I salute u all
watching this so my brother can’t get the jump on me when he comes home. thank you for your service, elias and all other service members/previous service members!
I love to see all that pent up fear from the children suddenly evaporate when they come home. It has to be very tough on a young child's mind knowing just how dangerous it is out there and will they ever get home safely. These kids are so brave too.
Their return is not only the end of a long journey of fighting but also the beginning of a new journey - the journey of reintegration into normal life, with family and community. makes us reflect on the value of peace and the silent sacrifice of soldiers.
My parents didn’t see each other for 3 years during WW 2! He was off fighting in the Pacific. No email, no online m messages, I can only imagine their happiness when he finally came home. We have no videos of that reunion! ❤️🇺🇸❤️❤️
I got extremely emotional watching this video and thinking about the homecoming I had after over 3 years, 1198 days, without seeing my friends and family. If I wasn't in uniform, I don't think I would've been recognized LOL. A few of my friends that I've known since grade school, a few friends my mom was 'mom' to, organized a party for my parents 35th wedding anniversary, an event I wouldn't miss. After hearing all of my siblings and friends say really great things about my parents, especially my mom, my parents got up to thank my friends and, after my dad was finished and my mom was ending, my friend that organized everything said 'we've got one more person to speak' and I started expressing my gratitude while hiding behind a curtain less than 10 feet from where my mom was standing. She was able to find out, threw open the curtains and, before she even touched me, she placed her hands over her face and started sobbing which made me, my dad as he came over, my friends and a large majority of everyone else cry. It was a highly charged emotional day for and watching this video brought all those feelings back

When I was a kid and my dad would be gone I’d sit in my room and cry, watching these videos and hoping my dad would do this to me. He didn’t and it always felt like I’d never forgiven him even though I knew I did. It was nice to have him back but the feeling of wanting for this to happen wouldn’t go away. It was sort of like how a little girl who was obsessed with princess will always want to be a princess. im a freshmen now and my dad had to go away again, only for a short while but he still left. I had made the volleyball team while he was gone and on around my second week of practices he surprised me at practice and I felt like a little girl again, hoping her dad would surprise her. I love my dad and I’m happy to be able and come back to these videos and cry because I’m happy he’s here rather than cry because he’s gone.
Our veterans are extremely tough, there is no denying that! But the families of those veterans are even tougher! Every time they hear about something on tv and they can’t reach their loved one because they might be operating outside the wire. Or just in a bad area for comms. They automatically think the worst has happened. You have to be extremely tough to endure that! It’s not as bad on the one deployed as they are in the loop.
I loved all of these so much and I was kind of laughing when the one mom fell off the chair when she was so overwhelmed with joy that her son came home😂😭
I love these reunions. It makes me cry, but I could do without the Chinese soldiers. They’re part of the reason why our men & women are put in harms way.
I always cry from these... but the Ukraine ones especially make me cry right now. They shouldn't have to be fighting.... Russia just needs to stop, leave the country alone and let them live their lives
Love these reunions! The narrator is over using his imagination when he refers to new Air Force enlisted recruits as "Pilots". Only commissioned officers in the Air Force can be pilots.
As wholesome as this stuff is surely you could have found an legit picture for the thumbnail, pretty sure its a photoshopped image from an old friends reuniting clip and he wasnt wearing a military uniform.
U would of got a thumbs up for da video but u took away da best part by talking over ALL THE VIDEOS.👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 To all of our service men and women. Wen u upload ur homecoming surprise can ALL u make it so these people don't ruin ur videos
My grandmothers sister was killed in a blast hitting Manchester. She went to her grave twice a yr to clean and put fresh flower out for her. I used to go with her and she would just talk to her and always cried when leaving. She had her kids under the table and a bomb blast shattered a cast iron fireplace killing her immediately.
You have alot of mistakes in your narrations. Just because a person is in the air force Does Not mean they are a pilot. The Air Force only has officers as pilots.
Wish the narrator would get some things correct in these videos. Like in the one where he mentioned a pilot father congratulates his pilot son? They are both in the Air Force the father a chief master sergeant and his an airman neither on can be a pilot.
