You can do it Kathleen! They are such amazing birds to paint... all the very best with your painting! Thank yo for the kind words... you are welcome I love to share. 😊🙏
I recently discovered your channel Dave and I am so glad I did. I am interested in Wildlife / Nature art and would like to see you do more of those. There are so many different types of animal fur and feathers and scales, as well as environmental surfaces such as dirt, rock, leaves, tree bark, etc., and I'd love to see how you handle each one.
So inspiring. I’m in awe Do you not varnish at all? I have understood varnish is a big nono, but I’m so afraid that a finsihed painting will be ruined by a smudgy finger.
Hi Loreto, Glad you enjoyed the video... I tend not to fix my work as it tends to dull the values too much. When You use pastel Matt as the surface the pigment clings to it well. 🙏😊
I am a new subscriber to your channel and am interested in how you manage to keep your Pastelmat flat to the surface. Is that masking tape of some kind? I have used masking tape but it can leave a residue. Am I using the wrong kind?

Hi Dave! Enjoying your videos as usual! I have a question related to the end of the drawing, do you use a final fixer? Any in particular? Thanks!
