Airpods are crap (change my mind) people complain about them all the time and expect Apple to replace "FOR FREE" them if something goes wrong when it's out of warranty, there are a lot of better option out there that are better in value and audio quality.

It is amazing. I used it for 5.5 hours yesterday, and my ear never feel uncomfortable. Really for good for a phone call, when you are in noisy outside.
Can connect with two devices, works well with my iPad & MacBook together. But if I change it from Apple to Huawei, needs to reset ( there is a button on the right side of the box, just put the Free Buds in, then press the button to connect. ) Also, don’t forget, after connecting to Android system, you want to connect to Mac again. You need to remove it from ur Mac first, then search the device and reconnect. If you don’t remove it, after you connect, it still doesn’t work.
So from my experience is that better use it for one system.
Until now I haven’t downloaded an App, and it may not be necessary.
To be honest. Huawei have been with that design when they came out with thier phone. Their design was transferred to the freebuds 3 which I absolutely love and watching the video with. Watching this has made me love huawei more. PS: wrote this comment on the P40 pro.

I had the original airpods and they fitted absolutely perfectly but then I upgraded to the freebuds pro and can't seem to fit them properly on my ears they especially when I smile or laugh when I'm wearing them they tend to fall out very easily idk if it's the general design and switching to the airpods pro would be the same or is it an actual problem in the freebuds only

For instance, my current Huawei Freebuds 3i do really firmly keep in my ears. But I want to upgrade to these because of gestures and autonomy.

@@Vinicius-io6ql if you're still looking for reference, I used mine for 6 months, no complaints whatsoever, the in ear fits me perfectly but notice that it might not be for everyone, Sound quality is great, the bass is a bit heavy but it has quite decent depth. Active Noise Cancellation works tremendously, battery life is quite durable, I usually go on a video conference call for 3 hours + and they still have some left in the tank. You might want to compare it to Freebuds 4 if you prefer more open tip design. Hope this can help.
love these things the bass and the mids are great when it comes to vocals it's crisp and clear!
Solid video. I recommend also recording audio without background noise. It's more applicable to at-home quiet work home environments.
It has a decent tone balance. This is a sound that slightly attenuates the sound of the 3khz band in the harman target. However, the regrettable is the reduction of wind noise. It blocks wind noise better than other anc tws, but not airpods pro. When the wind is strong in winter, with anc turned on, the wind noise is annoying.

Just bought them after watching your review. I have owned the Sony XM3 s for over a year, but mi eldest daughter has taken ownership over them (not much to do about it... Kinda lost them for good there). Therefore I went shopping for my new ones. They are awesome, overall great user experience. Thanks for the complete and honest review

I had Jabra 75T for 6 month where I lost the right side last week, I searched around and end up buying free buds pro. As a heavy user I would say the freebuds pro is way better than Jabra when it comes to sound quality and noise cancelling is just next level.
Connectivity for my both devices (Note 10+ and thinkpad laptop) is just amazing. There is absolutely no lag unlike that this guy is saying in the video. Build quality is just as good as Jabra and comfort is way better. The only issue I had was setting up the ai life software which was a bit hessle to get it from app gallery. Good product. Strongly recommended.

Hi mike firstly great vid but i have a few questions would be great if you could answer them-
1. I have samsung A51 so which earphone is better?
2. Are there any features that I'll miss out on if i buy the huawei or Apple earphones to use on a Samsung phone?
The only reason that led me to choosing FreeBuds over AirPods is the volume control. I desperately need that feature and that's an one-vote-veto for AirPods.

Great review! I had the previous Freebuds for about a year and just lost them. Liked them a lot and I think I tested at least 10 different pairs of earbuds (all kinds of brands) before I settled for the Freebuds. At the time they had great sound quality when speaking as well as a solid bass and crisp sound playing music. Even in noisy enviroments like the gym or subways. Im getting these next week and we`ll see how they compare... :)

For anyone wondering, I received my Huawei Freebuds Pro a few days ago and I can say that:
- It sounds slighty better than but very similar to the wired AKG headphones that you get with Galaxy S8 if you've ever tried that one. In other words, this is probably the best bass you can get from earbuds. Vocals are great too but I assume there might be some slightly better options (even though I haven't looked it up)
- Noise cancelling is absolutely perfect as you can see from the video.
- I've made some phone calls with it and mic quality is great.
- My experience is the same for the other points in the video.
In short, this product will not disappoint you, at least I wasn't disappointed. I'm having a great time with it.
They also gifted me mini speaker CM510 and Band 3e so it was really profitable for me

@@aaronjeffrey8143 If you enjoy music with heavy bass, it's probably one of the best ones you can get. You can hear the instruments very clearly, I enjoy it very much. If you're specifically looking for the clearest vocals, freebuds pro is still really good but there might be other options, although I haven't tried any other brand for this.

Tip: try an independent table mic, like the gaming ones, they're a game changer for online conversations (of any nature: gaming, lessons, meetings etc.) , You can find good ones below 30-40e :)

Even though I saw this video before I decided to buy Huawei Freebuds Pro , it's really worth it, the quality is more premium specially the sound quality at it is so comfy compared to my AIRPODS PRO, it seems like you're an apple fan 😅 I don't like seeing a TH-camr which is so biased in reviewing product out of Apple products.
@samantha smith you must have to try Freebuds Pro, that's easiest way to explain what I've experienced on my Freebuds Pro.
@samantha smith yes it does have air pressure unit on the earbuds itself. That's how Active Noise Cancellation works, because of air pressure.
@@aidenlikesfrogs9259 it's not air pressure. It is actually your ears. Your ears are usually hearing the low frequencies like below 1kHz (nature, the earth, and quietness). So it perceive ANC like it blocks the resonance of air that's 500Hz and below.

Latest ones do not have Huawei written on them. The earbuds also have active listening or sound cancelling or off by holding your finger against the bud for a couple of seconds. Only negative is they are hard to take out of the case! Ideally they need some corrugated lines on the m so your finger can grip the bud to remove it from the case.

My Sony XM3 just died yesterday after a year+ of use. Just 1 month after my warranty expired. I took it to Sony Service Center, they told me to fix it, it would cost me 3/4 the price of a new pair. So I decide to look for a new pair of earbuds. Just so happened, my sister had a new pair of HUAWEI Freebuds Pro she won, but didn’t need. I just bought it off her right now after watching this video. Thanks.

I was lucky enough to win a pair of these and I love them. I’m using Apple’s iOS so didn’t expect much from these as they seem to be aimed at the Android market. I was wrong. They’re great! The Huawei app isn’t currently available for iOS, but it’s coming. I’m not sure it’s that necessary. They pair over Bluetooth easily. The sound is really good. I’ve not used them on a telephone call yet because I’m on an iPad but I have used them very successfully with Skype. Recommended!

Mike, this is a great video. especially that it goes into and mentions small details. I bought a pair of Huawei Freebuds Pros on sale and challenged them against the new Nothing Ear(1). It's a tough call.
Small things, like for example getting the buds out of the case DO matter a lot. When I was not able to take them out for the first few times I immediately hated these but it actually goes away after a while. I guess you need so muscle memory and the magents probably have to get "worn". Also, the multi device connectivity has probably been improved too since your video because it actually works pretty good and is very useful. So for now the Freebuds Pros win with connectivity and ease of use, however to be honest the Nothing Ear(1) buds just sound a tiny bit better and their weight makes a difference as they are comfortable to wear. And they look cooler and more unique, I guess.
I have the nothing ear 1 right now and I was thinking of buying the freebuds pros. Would say it's worth the upgrade or am I fine with my ear 1s? And how would you compare the noise cancelling?
@@bqne_ Well, I managed to get the FreeBuds pro for the exact same price so that's a fair comparison. It's more feature rich for sure, as for controls and functions. But nothing beats the comfort and wear of the Ear(1). They even sound better to me. The only thing missing is to announce in the buds which ANC mode you're in - sometimes you cannot tell. Also, connecting is more fluid on the Huawei. Honestly, try it. If the Nothing Ear drops 20-30 dollars I'll buy and keep it this time.

@@bqne_ it's weird. I miss the Nothing Ear 1 since I've sent it back but I'd miss the features if I'd had them. I don't miss the FreeBuds that much. Strange.
@@ZotmundSzele I was having some issues with delay and connection with my ear 1s. Don't know why it happens but i think it gets worse if I use the volume controls. I've turned on the low latency mode in the app that seemed to help a little but it's a little scary still.
WOW the Samsung really impressed me during the soundcheck the Bose was disappointing with hearing the fan during the test but Hauwei also was good as well I feel for the value I like them a lot

Really enjoyed this test. I'm looking for some great earbuds and after some research I've stopped at Huawei qnd Sennheiser (even version 1). I use them for listening music and calls, no need for super ANC features. What would you recommend, i know that you have them both

bought the FBP yesterday and it has blown me away except for the difficulty in taking them out.
To more easily get the buds out, for the right bud, i use my thumb to push the right bud to the right before elevating the bud upwards and out.
This said, it is ridiculous to need to have some technique to remove an earbud. However, this is really my one of only 2 gripes (for now, after one+ day of use) about FBP, the other being that the paint coating renders it somewhat slippery. I wish it has a matte coating like Soundcore Liberty Air 2.
Further, I didn't have the problem of the bud easing its way out of my ears like Mike.
In terms of controls, FBP has the best so far - every means from touch, to pinch to double pinch and long pinch work as well as I would like.
The above method didn't work well so now I leave a long thread of dental floss over the puts that a yank of the floss raises the buds.

@@alphakka7575 My Phone has hard plastic on the Back and It has No Scratches at all after one year of use. Maybe you remember the iPod with Metal on the Back and it would have a Lot of Scratches even when you're carefull. I know that it has to be a Special Kind of plastic, but still.
@@mszigetihu unless you're using a really light insulating metal it would cause more latency with the bluetooth connection acting like a mini faraday cage.

I have the older Freebuds 3 and can say that Huawei is really good with FW updates, they've pushed updates improving connectivity and battery life about 3 times for the ones I own.
BTW, 5* for PIA! I've been using (and paying for) it for years and it's a great VPN! Tons of servers, great speed and good privacy (no logging, you can pay with Bitcoins, etc.)
around 4 hours with nc on 7 hours with it off. it takes around 40 minutes before they are full and the case takes 2 hours

Mike Wat could you please advise me between huawei freebuds pro or freebuds 3 for sounds quality and mic quality. Also i don't like silicone because it is closing my ear like putting cotton in it.
I have both. Personally I like 3 more. It sounds better, fits better and feels better. But 3 pro has more controls and better ANC.

In the video I tested with iOS devices and android, it was great! Make sure to get the latest firmware update or else there will be latency. Btw app is only available on android and not iOS

I've got the pair of Huawei Freebuds Pro, and swapping between my laptop and smartphone is seemless and quick. Maybe a firmware update has fixed that, but there is definitely no such problem now.
Alexander I have been looking for something to use with my Pixel 4XL and Windows 10 Laptop (Teams, etc) then mobile just for calls. How does the swapping work is it just a case of answering the mobile or starting a teams meeting and they switch to the device in use?
@@ianalderson9267 Hi Ian, I use them the same way, they switch to the source of signal, so if they are paired with mobile and you enter Teams meeting, they switch to PC, and stay on PC, and if you receive an incoming call on mobile, they switch to mobile. It seems like they are connected to two devices simultaneously. I didn't try to have two sound sources up simultaneously (like music on mobile and TH-cam on PC at the same time) to see how they handle that. But in my normal scenarios they switch seemlessly

You record a video but use the microphones on the buds instead of the phone
I had a lot of trouble using pinch gestures but eventually figured out that it's not touch sensitive but you have to squeeze them until you hear a click. It's like pressing a button

What recorder you use for recording audio?
I've brought freebuds pro 2 days earlier and now the left bud stopped charging and connecting to phone.A red light blinks on the case eveytime the left one is placed in. It says that charge is below 1% in the left earbud and it doesn't connect with phone.Does anyone here know the fix?

Thank God i didn't choose the freebuds 3 because the build structure itself doesn't fit on my ears when freebuds pro finally came out yeah this one is perfect for me! And i also got freebies such as huawei band 4 and huawei bluetooth speakers ❤️

Они оказались оказались гораздо больше, чем я думал. Долго привыкал к габаритам, до сих пор привыкаю. И ещё хотелось бы более подробно разобрать вопрос с продолжительностью работы устройства. Мне кажется, что их приходится слишком часто заряжать, или я что-то делаю не так.
