Hi Sir, We are planning to travel to ladakh with my 7 yr old daughter in June over 12 days with your suggested itinerary that is from srinagar leh highway and descend from Leh manali highway. Sir, I am just worried whether this 12 days iternary will be safe or not too daring for my 7yr old? Kindly give your opinion.
Hmm.. do you have an option to add more days to your plan? IF yes, I can recommend a more relaxed itinerary to add some rest days in between so that it does not get taxing because in that 12 day plan you are almost on road every day for next place/destination. Also, are you self driving or can fly to Srinagar and take taxi from there?

I am in banglore and I can reach leh by flight or I can come to jammu and then go leh via srinagar leh highway as you said it's more safer. I just want to know how to reach hanle safely (around june)
You can follow below plan: Day 1 - Leh Rest day and acclimatize Day 2 - Leh local sightseeing and acclimatize Day 3 - Leh to Terido Village, rest and acclimatize, visit Teriphu Village (check video of Cho House: th-cam.com/video/AZyV1-I6OsM/w-d-xo.html Day 4 - Terido to Hanle via Nyoma - Loma (tank up at Nyoma) Day 5 - Leave 6.30 AM for Umling La and be back to Hanle by 12-1 PM and continue to Tso Moriri Lake for night stay via Loma - Nyoma (tank up again) Day 6 - Tso Moriri - Puga - Tso Kar - Taglang La - Leh Day 7 - Fly out of Leh
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thank you so much for taking out the time and writing all this out. One last little question - which month will be best for milkyway sightseeing? (although I have read that hanle has around 250 clear nights so I guess any ON season month should be good enough I think. I will further make sure to reach hanle on a dark moon night to avoid the moonlight). Also should I be concerned about rainfall? If yes which season to avoid.
September shall be best month for it. Plus they have timing now, guess 11 PM after which it is considered Dark Sanctuary and no light is lit in the village

Sir, I was (a total of 8 members) planning to visit Ladakh at the end of june'2024 from Manali to Leh by bikes but here facing a problem with the bikes rental shop owners. They are saying that nowadays Ladakh people/Government are not allowing outside motor vehicles in Ladakh. Is it true ? Please reply the above query & guide me on how I travel by bike. If it is possible to travel from manali to Leh by bike, please provide a trustworthy & better bike rental shop owners contact details in Manali. Is it preferable to visit Ladakh at the end of June month ? Please clear all above queries. Thanks in advance.
It is always been like that.. outside rental bikes not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh. You can use them to reach Leh and then come back but for sightseeing in Ladakh you will need Ladakh bikes again
Hello sir i and my friends are visiting ladakh next week, from 25th APRIL to 29th April by flight ✈️. But i just saw there is orange alert there due to weather conditions. Want to confirm is it safe to visit there ? Food and water supply availablity? Any kind of life risk ? Please answer.
Are you planning to visit Leh by flight? i am assuming you are.. well within Leh it shall be OK but in case weather predictions are bad on the day you are traveling from Leh to Nubra Valley or Pangong Lake over Changla Pass, then better avoid and explore around Leh only.. if weather is fine and traffic is allowed than local taxi guy will know if to travel or not.. but in general within Leh and around it is OK even in winter time
@@discoverwithdheeraj thanks sir , if you find any kind of risk within these 4 days. Please reply . It will be better to avoid this trip rather than making a life risk.
Well, Ladakh is a high altitude region and an adventure travel destination so some amount of risk will always be there. You are going in shoulder season when mostly conditions are cold and lakes/passes are very cold. So you will have to go prepared and make sure that you are not taking undue risks. In just 4 days, it will be like you can spend time around Leh only and then couple of days in Nubra Valley
No, not yet. But in season time when Zojila Pass allows heavy vehicles then yes it is available. here is the video on it: th-cam.com/video/vjlhtOqBHeg/w-d-xo.html

I was a member of BCMTouring. in name of Adventure50 but Due to some problem they have closed this website.

Hi Dheeraj ji, can we ride from Hanle to tso morriri and then stay at Cho House instead of staying in tso morriri? The plan is to go to Sarchu the next day.
Yes Jitesh, it is doable but long day. So, start early from Hanle to spend some time at Tso moriri as well. We almost did same as you see in the video but as we left late we reached almost in dark hours at Terido.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thanks Dheeraj. we are planning to go Loma, Nyoma and Mahe as we are bikes and will have to refill at Nyoma.
All the best dear!
Sir, I want to visit Siachen base camp from Hunder and intend night stay at Sumur/Panamik for onward journey to Pangong next day in August. Is it possible? Please name any good home stay there. Thanks 🙏
Yes you can stay in Panammik or Sumur after visiting Siachen base camp from Hunder and then next day move to Pangong Lake. Just confirm is Shyok route is open or not because sometimes it closes due to river coming on road in August. Then you need to take Wari La route. Video coming tomorrow.
Tell me if I take 2 night in Lubra then what I see Tirtuk or Siachin base camp ?
Go with Turtuk region, it is more beautiful.
Hey hi dheeraj thanks for the information though iam planning a trip to leh this month's end...and i just want to ask about my route i hv only 10 days and the route that i choose is to complete the circuit is... manali -jispa-tso moriri-pangog-nubra valley-leh-suru valley-zanskar-leh then again manali so is it possible to do all these in 10 days i hv my own car. And if not what route or circuit would you suggest for a good trip.
Thanks
Manali Leh is closed as of now and should not open bh tbat time it seems like right now

Hi dheeraj, I am traveling with my family on 28th September 2024. I haven't planned any itinerary and stay booking. Kindly provide me best itinerary and stay.

SIR,
NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS...
I M PLANING LADAKH TRIP WITH MY CHILD AGE 10 AND AS PER DRIVER WHICH WE ARE HIRING IS SUGGESTING US TO GO DIRECTLY FROM THE AIRPORT TO SHAM VALLEY TOUR WITH LAMAYURU AND STAY AT NIGHT NEAR ALCHI/SHAM VALLEY BCOZ IT IS LESSER HEIGHT COMPARE TO LEH..
SO SHOULD WE GO DIRECTLY TO SHAM VALLEY TOUR OR SHOULD BE STAY AT LEH ONLY FOR THE FIRST NIGHT
PLEASE GUIDE
Well you can go and stay at Alchi but please don’t exert for sightseeing at all.. dont exert at all on first day
I just want to visit hanle village for milkyway sightseeing. I don't have too much interest in other places. What will be a safe itinerary so that I can avoid AMS and reach hanle safey? I am in banglore and I can reach leh by flight or I can come to jammu and then go leh via srinagar leh highway as you said it's more safer. I just want to know how to reach hanle safely (around june)
You can follow below plan:
Day 1 - Leh Rest day and acclimatize
Day 2 - Leh local sightseeing and acclimatize
Day 3 - Leh to Terido Village, rest and acclimatize, visit Teriphu Village (check video of Cho House: th-cam.com/video/AZyV1-I6OsM/w-d-xo.html
Day 4 - Terido to Hanle via Nyoma - Loma (tank up at Nyoma)
Day 5 - Leave 6.30 AM for Umling La and be back to Hanle by 12-1 PM and continue to Tso Moriri Lake for night stay via Loma - Nyoma (tank up again)
Day 6 - Tso Moriri - Puga - Tso Kar - Taglang La - Leh
Day 7 - Fly out of Leh
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thank you so much for taking out the time and writing all this out. One last little question - which month will be best for milkyway sightseeing? (although I have read that hanle has around 250 clear nights so I guess any ON season month should be good enough I think. I will further make sure to reach hanle on a dark moon night to avoid the moonlight). Also should I be concerned about rainfall? If yes which season to avoid.
September shall be best month for it. Plus they have timing now, guess 11 PM after which it is considered Dark Sanctuary and no light is lit in the village
Hi sir, we are planning to start our bike trip on 6th may from leh. We would be landing on 3rd may. We are thinking to cover hanle and umling la would it be difficult in may?
No bhai Umling La pass is open.. plz check previous video of mine.. just it will be cold so go prepared and o watch my previous video for updates
