Bloodlines was a game about the vampiric society, the camarilla, the clans, political relations, conflict of interest. In that world you could choose which side to be on, who to trust and who to betray. The sequel looks like dishonored, the story it's already written just like the main character and and the player just have to follow the events, without even being able to customize his own character appearence.

Still no answers from these blind, deaf, and dumb producers. They've made up their minds and the sales are going to be so frickin low because of it. There should be a new word for a potential masterpiece like BG3 that producers have ruined. It happens in games and movies all of the time now.
Hey Chinese Room, i honestly dont know if you guys read what the public has to say but i hope you do. VTMB is gem, maybe the game didnt get much motion back then but its still one of the best RPGs ever made, and you guys seem to have forgotten that. VTMB is and RPG, yes maybe the combat wasnt that good, maybe the handling couldve been better but hey thats not the main focus of an RPG. VTMB was great because of its immersive story, filled with great characters, each and every npc of the game felt genuine and interesting. The lore, oh the lore, AMAZING, LOVELY, VTMB story isnt that deep, the main questline isnt that long either but man, it is great... and lets not get into the sidestories and quests. VTMB didnt allow you to customize your characters appearance, but it let you choose other aspects that would influence into the game, also every clan gives a different approach into the story and YOU guys seem to have forgotten that. YES its hard to start developing a game from ¨scratch¨ and not to be mean or anything but Paradox parting ways with Hardsuit is CRAZY; picture this YOU develop a game set on SEATTLE and you get a developer that is settled in SEATTLE, they know each and every corner of it, they know all the culture surrounding it and from night to day you kick them. And then YOU come into play, a UK based studio that has only developed walking simulator games, and yeah they are great but they arent your main FOCUS but you wre given this chance to prove yourselves and show everyone that you can COOK. Its cool that you guys know a bit about the lore and about the clans and stuff but man i really dont care if i can play as a Tremere or as a Banu Haqim, I CARE and probably the main audience of VTM cares about it too, about going out there to a whole new world full of grimmy and funny stories, a world that doesnt feel that much different from ours, a bizarre universe wre everything could happen, a world in which each and EVERY CHOICE you make MATTER. I recently just learned about you guys taking the approach of making the MC an ELDER, like man I DONT GET IT. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE. If you guys read or played other games like idk PARLIAMENT OF KNIVES or the actual VTMB, you should know that EVERYTIME an ELDER wakes up, THEY ARE THE MOST OP MFR OUT THERE and they dont have good intentions. VTMB is great because it makes you a fledging, a newborn kindred, someone that just started their UNLIFE, man that was such a bad descision but its okay, IK YOU GUYS ARE COOKING. BUT PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IDK WHEN U WILL RELEASE BUT PLEASE play the other VTM games in depth, even the TRASH ones like Swansong, and learn, learn from their goods and wrongs. Vampire: The Masquerade - Night Road, Out for Blood, Parliament of Knives, and Sins of the Sires ARE FKING GREAT and they are text based games, they incorporate EVERY aspect that makes VTM an amazing ip. They all take different approaches but they all give you that feeling of care and dedication put into them, they are amazing, its almost as if their developers and writers: Kyle Marquis, Jim Dattilo, Jeffrey Dean, and Natalia Theodoridou. All love VTM and probably played the games SPECIALLY VTMB. SO PLEASE ADD FULL CHARACTER CREATION, PLEASE. ADD TRAITS, ADD UNIQUE ABILITIES FOR EACH CLAN, IDK PERSONALITY SHIZ, LIKE OH U R A GAE MALKAV, IDK. ADD FAT LARRY´s COUSIN, ROMACE AND UNNECESARY ESSEX W JEANETE AND KEEP THE ESSENCE OF VTMB MAKING THE SEWER SECTIONS DIGUSTINGLY LONG AND DIFFICULT. PLEASE COOK COOOOOOK JUST LIKE TROIKA GAMES DID, EVEN IF THE GAME DOESNT GET THAT MUCH TRACTION ULL BE REMEMBERED AS THE STUDIO THAT REVIVED VTM AND MADE A DIAMOND OUT OF COAL. ALSO VTM BLOODHUNT IS GREAT, IF U WANT TO TAKE AN ACTION APPROACH MAYBE LEARN A BIT FROM THEM, IT AINT THAT BAD; ITS FUN TO PLAY. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!! AND PLEASE COOK WITH CARE AND LOVE, IK IT MAY BE STRESSFUL AND YOU WILL FIND LOTS OF HARDSHIPS BUT IF U PUT LOVE INTO ANY CRAFT, IT WILL COME OUT GREAT!!!!!!!!!! MAYBE NOT EVERYONE WILL APPRECIATE IT BUT IF YOU DO, OTHERS WILL.
Positives: -The existence of some basic dialogue options (although they seem to circle back to the same results). -Choices seem to have at least some basic impact on the world. -The resemblance of some environments from the old game. Negatives: -No character creation and no RPGish lore based questions while crafting your character's background in the beginning. -Constant Voice in head, and no mystery about the elder vampire woman's voice. -Eyes movement and facial expressions worse than those of a 2004 game. -No sign of Agility, Persuasion and all the skills of the original. -Basic barrage of sparkle producing punches. And nothing combat mechanics wise that you would expect from a vampire game of 2024. -Enemies are boring. No scare factor, no advanced AI. no teaming up on you. No intimidation tactics. Linear way of disposing them. No strategic and tactical thinking on our side. Poor use of the environment and its objects in combat. -No weapons. -No disciplines. -No sense of being in the same lore because the goth aspect and exact terminologies are gone, in favour of grabbing a new audience. -generic precrafted protagonist and loss or feeling that we are all children of Cain and victims in a great game controlled in the shadows by the elders, with the impending doom of Gehenna above our heads.
its not about what the studio wants or not, is what the PUBLISHER wants. why you think the original one got canned? it was being another immersive sim and that doesnt sells so the publisher canned the project already 3 years into development.
@@LyrisTheCat the original one got canned for being over budget and late, not because of what type of game it was. Also "immersive sim" is a completely bogus term so vague it can be applied to almost any video game making it completely meaningless as a compound adjective.
@@beowulf1417 you are joking right 💀 bruh immersive sims are called that because of the reactivity of the both the enviroment and the npcs to the players they remember what you did missions before which can absolutely change how the later stages play. thats also why most immersive sims literally are also half or full rpg.
@@LyrisTheCatThe original got canned not because of what the intended product was supposed to be. But how the development was handeled. Take your rose tinted glasses off and remember all the turmoil around the removal of Brian Mitsoda, poorly recieved trailers and fast paced hire and removal of staff. Then it all went dead for a long, long time, until Paradox decided to give it another go.
Really sorry, all the love for the devs trying their best but this is *not* Bloodlines 2. The customer base do not want an action RPG, and this seems like a hollowed out husk of a AAA clone, with none of the fundamentals of the original. We love Bloodlines for the story, RPG elements and writing/feel. Not because of flashy moves or weird powers. Just... this one hurt, more than I thought. I want to be excited, truly, but... yeah.
Looks like a generic action game with a vampire code of paint like Vampyr. Bloodlines immediately captures you by a sick soundtrack, crazy characters, and a moody atmosphere. I don't see anything of the sort here.
Please just make us able to customize the character like they do in VTM Blood Hunt. Character customization / creation is one of the main pillars of the VTM series (video game and table top)!
Dear Chinese Room. I'm sorry to write this, and it's not meant to be a bashing or a devaluation of those who work on it. The development of the game was not easy and I don't want to imagine how hard it was for all the employees. When I look at the old version that was developed before and see that now with the new version, I really get a stomach ache. In principle, what you have seen is not bad. It seems to be a nice game. But it really doesn't capture anything of what made the predecessor great. Like the quirky humour, the macabre mood, the stealth gameplay and the atmosphere. Maybe they couldn't and didn't want to show that yet, but why are they doing that I'm worried, like I said, there's none of that yet. Maybe it would be better to release the game under a different name because Bloodlines was a great role-playing game and that's what I expect from a sequel. If the game can't achieve that, it's not just a bad thing, it's a bad thing for the brand. And please consider carefully whether you want Fabien to comment so heavily on everything. It really was so intrusive in such a short time. I've already realised that Willem is a shady character.
You guys don't know even understand how a basic public relations exercise. A Q&A involves being asked questions by members of the public in some sort of public forum, whether online or otherwise, with the questions being asked and answered in real time. This is closer to an infomercial. But then again, you're claiming this game is a sequel to an "iconic RPG" while stripping away as much of the RPG elements as possible. Getting things right is obviously not your forte.
no one wants to play a pre made character, we want to make our own vampire, in the first bloodlines all the previous life was kept to a single npc, you could fill in your past and make your own character, no one wants to be phyre or whatever, we want to make our own character, no one cares about combat, we want rpg elements, bloodlines is a cult game not an fps, if you dont listen to all your market telling you get rid of phyre and let us customize it and give more attention to choices and story because combat is secondary you will flop hard, again: we dont want to start as an elder nor be phyre, phyre is already hated and you are digging your own pit by forcing phyre into people, get rid of this, go play tabletop sessions and the first and second game to get your sheet together and get rid of whoever made these dumb decisions or go bankrupt.
This looks more like an action adventure than a roleplaying game, especially when you see that there are no atttributes or skills listed, just abilities. And only two choices for talking options and they are like "be an elder" or "be nice". The chinese room needs to rename the game because this is not Bloodlines 2 at all. I am an old fan of the original, have been playing it for years and this is just not ok. BUT. I will wait to see more and still hope that there will be better changes and also that our great modder comunity can do something with the game after it's out.
If this game was called Vampire: The Masquerade - Phyre's adventure, I'd be saying 6-7/10 I'll give it a go. But as a Bloodlines successor this is a complete let down.
There are standalone Vampire: the Masquerade games. This is one of them. It is NOT Bloodlines 2. The devs of Dragon Age 2 are on record wishing they had called the game anything other than Dragon Age 2, because people's disappointment drowned out any merit the game actually had. I say this as someone who really liked Dragon Age 2 and agree - do NOT call this Bloodlines 2. You need to rebrand ASAP.
You actually managed to ruin it beyond repair. Do the entire fanbase a favour and scrap this, give it back to Brian and developers who's actually played any WoD games.

The game looks so generic and shitty... the devs never played Part 1... where is the RPG, Sim and the atmosphere??? Please cancel the game or rebrand it without Bloodline
The point of Bloodlines 1 was that you are a MODERN vampire in a MODERN city, wearing MODERN clothes, using MODERN weapons, going to clubs, dealing with gangsters, hospital, museum, radio, TV, car, film studio, strip club, MODERN stuff. A vampire in a modern setting, that's the cool part. The lack of guns makes it feel less modern. Even a 2000 year old supersoldier vampire demigod would wear a gun. Why wouldn't you?
@@giveussomevodka unless he deals with enemies on which weapons are useless. But for humans it usually seems as the simplest solution. Unless you can go all Alucard on them and start decimating them on touch. Or with telekinesis and magic or something.
Yeah imagine being forced to be a specific character in a franchise all about player agency. This isn't the witcher or something where the protagand their choices are well defined
I understand that the developers may have a specific vision for the game, but I hope they will also consider the importance of player choice and customization. It would be greatly appreciated if they could include a character creator with multiple clans, as well as RPG leveling elements that are true to the spirit of the original Bloodlines game. As a fan of the VTM paper and pen roleplaying game and bloodlines, I respectfully request that they take care to preserve the roleplaying aspects that I love, and not veer too far into other genres like walking simulators or beat em ups. I believe that by staying true to the roots of the series, they can create a game that will be beloved by both longtime fans and new players alike.
So our MC is a pregenerated Elder Vampire with a voice in their head…. Great. You’ve already fucked this up. Plus, where is the RPG? VtM isn’t the Witcher - the tabletop system does not suit pre-made characters, unless the players play as themselves (which is impossible in a video game.) Also, what on earth is the audiomixing on Fabien’s (?) voice? It sounds like he’s underwater. Plus, if Phyre is meant to be some kind of “Eastern European stand-in” then it’s clearly an English speaker playing pretend - “Willem” instead of “Villem.” It might sound OK for a demo, but that’s gonna bug me for 20 hour straight every time she talks. I don’t think that the Chinese Room was the best choice for VtM… they just don’t seem to “get” VtM.
no character creation? no inventory? no weapons? How did this get greenlit? Did anybody on the development team even play the first Bloodlines? Personally I think Redemption was always better than Bloodlines, but this is a complete travesty to the Bloodlines name.
It gets green lit because modern games are shaped by greedy but ignorant shareholders, peculiar consumer statistics, incompetent marketing teams, and a daedalean maze of endless bureaucracy. Which makes catering to actual fans and gameplay virtually impossible.
We begged and pleaded...and it seems like you didn't listen. This isn't Bloodlines, this is a shallow RPG that's pretending to be Bloodlines. I know you guys have put effort into the development, but clearly none of you played the original nor even understand what made the OG so great. And clearly the entire community seems to have declared Jyhad. Just stop developing this game. Don't tarnish Bloodlines with this...crap. Call it anything else, but NOT Bloodlines.
At this point you may as well call this Redfall 2. There's clearly nothing Bloodlines left in it. You're cutting down on everything that made the first game what it is - character customization, conversation choices , skills, weapons, environments. 3 conversation choices ?! You actually looked for inspiration at Fallout 4's shitty dialog system and the conclusion you got was - 4 options are way too much ?! And for F's sake, there's no inventory, which likely means no pickable or usable items, no vendors, no meaningful environment exploration beyond a few flavor text objects. And for what ? Dishonored-like combat ? Who asked for this ?! An year from release and this is the best you have to show ?! The same scene and character shown in every development update so far. The most bare bone inconsequential dialog choices. The most generic environment imaginable - a warehouse (well, it beats a sewer or a foundry I suppose). The profound lack of facial animation or emotional expression. (what, she's slightly angrier in one option, and not as much in the other two ?) Shameful. Dare I say - dishonorable...
This is a real shame. The early Bloodlines 2 videos, back from a prior studio, looked a bit janky but still felt like a real translation of VtM to video game form. This feels like a game "inspired by" the world of darkness rather than really part of it
My regards. I would like to say a few words about this video, which partially showed us your result. The game bears little resemblance to the first part and this is very bad. If at the time of release you do not correct the atmosphere, the ability to edit the appearance of the main character and do not saturate this part with the gloomy spirit of masquerade, then you will face failure, criticism and hatred.
@@ionicslasher Yeah but the original game was also an action RPG where you fought your battles in real-time, which got very hectic at times, so I don't really know what you mean.
What's apparent is that the modern generation of humans in general don't read books and attend theatrical plays, as the old school ones did. This civilization deficit is showing in the dialogues and directive efforts of modern media.
I hope they improve on movements cause it still look funny abit and we should be at least able to block with are hands like come on now plus graphics can improve better
My memories of the first game are largely one of choices and mood. The hub world in particular blew my mind at the time. The writing here seems strong, I just hope as we get further along we'll have more opportunities to be expressive not only in our dialogue but also in how we approach missions. Looking forward to the next update!
they should just fix up and port the first one at this point, would probably take them less time to redo that entire game, then it did to develop this mediocre grey slop game, not hating on the developers either because I enjoyed still wakes the deep, but this isn’t a sequel at all, just another World of Darkness spin-off that’s probably not going to be very good, but I’ll hold my breath until the reviews pour in.
The community manager that dont care about the community. If he read any of the comments, they would scrap the whole thing and called it a day.. And for the chines room, you had a solid foundation for a true vtmb2, and you chosen to change it to this crap. You showed us how out of touch you are by doing all possible stunts to make the game fail HARD. Sorry for my english. i am not an native english speaker.
Looks like it's the beginning of the game, so I'm sure weapons will be introduced eventually, although I fail to see the point of using guns and stuff when you're equipped with vampiric powers. I'd rather have a well-defined character in a story-driven game like this than some generic blueprint character to be honest. This game is more The Witcher than Skyrim style.
@@pelaaja1337 From what we were shown we can't say there is no character creation. In the interview he mentions - I paraphrase "if you play as this type of vampire (Brujah I think he said)...". if you listen to what he says it seems to reveal that you can at least choose between clans of vampires, at least that is how I interpreted it.
@@vovindequasahiIt's looking like there are the two pre-made characters, which we see here you playing as the Brujah while telepathically (?) communicating with the other (Gangrel?.) It's possible this will be something like BG3, with a single character you make working along some crafted 'companions' - but yeah no idea, really.
@@FunkThompson Yeah it still looks to me like this game is a long way from being fully cooked, and a lot of mechanics are still not implemented. I guess if they want to push for a 2024 release they'll probably end up with a subpar game built on compromises. They should perhaps do like BG3 and open it up for Early Access, while continuing to build on it expanding options and the like. What do you think? Would you prefer having this game out as-is asap or would you rather wait a few years and have it be way superior to what it is now?
Oh great, this is what happens when you get a company that makes shitty walking sims to make a real game. This is a disgrace to the first game's legacy. Guess I'll just pretend this doesn't exist and replay the first game again
This looks really, really lame. Hope you guys can course-correct, because this is destined to fail as-is. A pre-established character is possibly the worst decision you could have made. Do you even understand why people liked the first game so much?
Since you go for more action based than RPGish in this iteration that is called VTMB 2. Here are some recommendations that could enrich for example the fighting the ragdolls instance: -after hitting two ragdolls grabbing their heads and smashing them together like an elder would do. -Grab a fallen one from the leg with a quick button combo, and swirl and throw it on the others. - After collecting aggro/adrenaline from fighting them for a while, Do a charged hyperdash move to smash a doll to its pieces. -combine celerity with those charged punches that send them flying away, to catch them mid air from neck and smash them on the floor, or rush to the other side before they reach it, and smash their backs with a cool elbow move. Those would vastly enrich the fighting experience and variety of an elder fighting. And would be much more akin of a modern tech game mechanics. Just my two cents since you take the action route.
WOW, this seems like an hastily made Skyrim mod with acting worse than Oblivion, janky combat featuring Hokuto No Ken moves, floating stuff and Mortal Kombat fatalities, the dialogue choices of a Tell Tale game (Fallout 4 has actually more choices), weird powers and silly effects that wish they could mimic The Witcher, and a character that is an internal voice, but he's not Silverhand, it's Clippy. What a mess.
Please, just PLEEEEEASE... as I VtMB long time lover (since it's release back in 2004), I'm trully asking you form the heart... just cancel this game!!
You're gonna want to scrap all of this and start over again. No one will buy this trash and I'll celebrate the day "The Chinese Room" closes its doors for good and every dev working on this has to go on UK government assistance.
Imagine ignoring the community that's around VTM BL1, and choosing to make a game something that's not even close to Bloodlines nor technically an "RPG" game anymore. Like gatekeeping information, with little to no broadcast of what the game is actually... Just showing the bare minimum with no context to anything revelent the community wants know. Instead of being a fledging, being able to grow into your own character with character sheets... Your an OP Elder now, being somehow "new" into the game, with no true character development?? Instead of focusing on choosing amazing, weird, odd clans you decide to choose the most basic safe options of clans. Instead of allowing customization with your own character, race, gender... Deciding to spend more on voice acting? Instead of focusing on the story, deciding to pay only attention to fighting and "aesthetics" but taking all the soul away from the original game. Just call it VTM : Something else, so disappointing.
Looks interesting, illusion sequence reminds me a little of Ocean House Hotel mission from Bloodlines 1. I'm positive for now about the game and curious about other ideas you might have. One thing I am not sure about is system of powering your disciplines which seems (from what I understood) to need constant feeding during combat. Seems great for fighting a lot of mortal opponents, but I wonder how it will work during possible boss fights.
Hello guys. I decided to left a comment here too, observing a certain wave of reactions, to add a few words of support. I'm a humble dev myself, though in the mobile sector of the market, so Im actually hate my projects, work and the market itself. But sometimes reading users feedback on social media makes even me roll my eyes. What you've got is quite interesting, yes, with rough edges, but I can imagine the approximate budget and time you're probably working with, and overall, it's not bad at all. Good luck

Looks better than some of the footage we'd seen like a year back, for sure. Feels more WoD as well, the weird.... turn blood into animated weaponry thing was decidedly jarring for old school fans.
The action sequenses in this game is miles above the original (As they should be. The original had god awful mandatory combat/stealth sections). But I also hope that combat isn't the main way to deal with issues in this game. Regardless of how cool the sequenses could be. Still, I remain hopeful for the final product as I trust the ambience and 'feel' of the game will be firmly in place once it is out. That we play as Phyre, I see as the burden of playing an ancient. Hard to be an ancient with a completely blank slate after all (And people forget how upset they were that the original build of this game would have you play as a Thinblood).
As a new VTM player who started discovering this world last month, I say that this game is my greatest joy, I loved the combat and I'm curious to see this game in stealth
This looks promising ! Congratulations ! I can't wait to play it. Btw don't mind the haters, I really don't understand how someone could hate something without even playing it and above all without it even being released yet... I am gonna wait till it comes out, buy it and then make an opinion ( Like it is normal , Not like some spoiled brat shitting on everything if it dosen't hint it will be exactly like he/she imagined it would be ) I will play it and if I don't like it ask for a refund and if I like it then I will keep it and enjoy it... the way it is meant to be done... not trying to boycott something before it even comes out... Cause the game is realeasing no matter how many cry babies are crying right now, no one gives a fu*k about their toxic criticism and discouragement. Anyways good luck you guys in making this game ! I look forward to it !
Christ guys have your opinions about the game all you want but can we not start bashing the devs or their previous work when theyve got the task of picking up a project from someone that theyve had to essentially start from scratch on with essentially the same release window. Btw for all you crybabies yes i get this isnt the sequel we thought we’d get, but i’ll play this any day over the initial concept for the game.

More like Paradox making this call.
I can't believe you guys are marketing this with the blandest possible main character
Positives:
-The existence of some basic dialogue options (although they seem to circle back to the same results).
-Choices seem to have at least some basic impact on the world.
-The resemblance of some environments from the old game.
Negatives:
-No character creation and no RPGish lore based questions while crafting your character's background in the beginning.
They fucked it up basically.
@@Nikelaos_Khristianos yup. Screwed up a cult classic franchise
Well said.
It looks like the studio doesn't know why this franchise is popular and is making a shallow action sequel

its not about what the studio wants or not, is what the PUBLISHER wants.
why you think the original one got canned? it was being another immersive sim and that doesnt sells so the publisher canned the project already 3 years into development.
@@LyrisTheCat the original one got canned for being over budget and late, not because of what type of game it was. Also "immersive sim" is a completely bogus term so vague it can be applied to almost any video game making it completely meaningless as a compound adjective.

Why do you (TCR) all hate Vampire Bloodlines so much? None of you have played the first part! This Game is NOT Bloodlines 2!
This doesn't feel at all like Bloodlines. Even the Hardsuit Labs gameplay preview looked more interesting than this; who is this for?
For gen z and alpha neo-emo kids that played cyberpunk a couple of times?
Gen X here and I also loved the Hardsuit Labs gameplay since it was so much closer to what VtMB used to be. Not this "overly purpley" version.
That's what they don't get. The sales are going to be horrible because of this new direction.
Jesus, at this point, it'd be better to find the original team of vtmb in full and have them make a sequel...
Before I saw this, I was planning on getting this game. Now, I wouldn't buy it if you held a gun to my head

This is not a sequel to bloodlines in any way and it feels like the developers have no idea why people liked the first.

This studio makes walking sims. I wouldn't be surprised if there are no weapons
"When you are an elder, your bare hands are the weapons!" Probably the dev team public excuse, for lack of yet another RPG element😂

Ditto.
VtM isn’t the Witcher - the tabletop system does not suit pre-made characters, unless the players play as themselves (which is impossible in a video game.)
Also, what on earth is the audiomixing on Fabien’s (?) voice?
>No character creation :(
We begged and pleaded...and it seems like you didn't listen.
Fixed protagonist no rpg element no parry key ganky animations you guys really butchered the game
(what, she's slightly angrier in one option, and not as much in the other two ?)
Shameful. Dare I say - dishonorable...
I thought this was never coming out! Not sure what to make of this video, but I'll wait to see more.
This is a real shame. The early Bloodlines 2 videos, back from a prior studio, looked a bit janky but still felt like a real translation of VtM to video game form. This feels like a game "inspired by" the world of darkness rather than really part of it

Looking forward to the next update!
Since when do Ghouls explode like its a final death?
they should just fix up and port the first one at this point, would probably take them less time to redo that entire game, then it did to develop this mediocre grey slop game, not hating on the developers either because I enjoyed still wakes the deep, but this isn’t a sequel at all, just another World of Darkness spin-off that’s probably not going to be very good, but I’ll hold my breath until the reviews pour in.

Gameplay and graphics look solid, performance not so much. I‘m still sad I can’t create my own character. Also no weapons? Kinda a bummer.
Looks like it's the beginning of the game, so I'm sure weapons will be introduced eventually, although I fail to see the point of using guns and stuff when you're equipped with vampiric powers. i thought this was cancelled?
Since you go for more action based than RPGish in this iteration that is called VTMB 2. Here are some recommendations that could enrich for example the fighting the ragdolls instance:
-after hitting two ragdolls grabbing their heads and smashing them together like an elder would do.

Which shows their shallow understanding of what made the hotel interesting. They kept the sparkles and lost the forest for the tree
