It's a really good value, yeah you get fanboys that say if it's not husqvarna or stihl it's crap, but both those companies outsource a lot to China, again the pcs68 is a damn good value
That would be a cool comparison! At the end of the day the 590 will always need more work to perform equally but they are a ridiculously good saw even in base form.
A habit from older saws where the pawls would try to take rope in when it shut off, and saves the recoil, especially when old school parts are getting scarce, this saw doesn't have that issue, but became habbit
Well the 54.5cc "62cc" with the 34mm stroke can spin pretty good compared to the longer stroke, have a supmix 6200(again 54.5cc) it's ported and will run 14500 free and stay in the high 11000's in the cut, dont think this "68cc" saw will ever see that high rpm.. But gonna try.. Lol
Not too bad! Merry Christmas and happy new year!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!

It's a really good value, yeah you get fanboys that say if it's not husqvarna or stihl it's crap, but both those companies outsource a lot to China, again the pcs68 is a damn good value

Nice rumble to her!!
Merry Christmas. Saw seems good as is, or you can go for more.
Will probably try more one day
Have a great Christmas jim
I'd put my Novice Lumberjack Ported Direwolf (Echo 590) up against it any day. Cool video. look forward to seeing more of it. Merry Christmas.
That would be a cool comparison! At the end of the day the 590 will always need more work to perform equally but they are a ridiculously good saw even in base form.
3:00 why do you pull the rope to shut off the saw?
A habit from older saws where the pawls would try to take rope in when it shut off, and saves the recoil, especially when old school parts are getting scarce, this saw doesn't have that issue, but became habbit
@ cool, better keep this habit then instead of accidentally ruining an old saw I guess.
Thanks, I didn’t not know that 👍
Nice! What do you make of the piston? Novice Lumberjack mentioned it was coated with something.
Yeah was dark, graphite? Maybe some kind of ceramic? Or who knows China, flat black spray paint 🤣
@chainsawcanuck lol! Mine wasn't black, it was definitely more off white!
Merry Christmas!
Sweet man. You wouldn’t happen to know the crank stroke? And maybe the proyama 62cc stroke
This one has a 36mm stroke and a 46mm bore, the 62cc one has a 34mm stroke and 45.2mm bore and is actually only 54.5cc, but those are good strong saws
@ hmmm I was hoping it was bigger than the 68cc stroke
Well the 54.5cc "62cc" with the 34mm stroke can spin pretty good compared to the longer stroke, have a supmix 6200(again 54.5cc) it's ported and will run 14500 free and stay in the high 11000's in the cut, dont think this "68cc" saw will ever see that high rpm.. But gonna try.. Lol
