Hi Thelma…the Cummingii or speciosa is on my wish list…I want to start using non-chemical methods against pests in my garden, is the bio-neem the same as neem oil that can be had in plant shops ?

Hi Nanomc, yes the Bioneem is the same as neem oil. It also has several other brand names. When in doubt check the label for the active ingredient, azodirachitin.

Why did the Medinilla Speciosa have root rot? Over-watering or other reasons?

Good question. The speciosa was left to fend for itself in an out of the way location so would have suffered more from under-watering.😢

Oops! You're correct! Roots that die due to lack of water and subsequently rot are not technically victims of 'root rots'.
I'll be sure to publish a clarification in the next update.😊
