Allow me to share more details about using Canva's pre-made templates for commercial purposes. Our templates are useful for small or personal projects. You can also use them for inspiration - a starting point for your own unique design. As a best practice, we recommend that if users want to create designs for commercial purposes, it is best to start from scratch, rather than from a Canva template. Hope that helps! 😀
This video is very helpful and well made. May I ask Ms. Lauren if i delete or modify to use for another buyer the "thank you pdf with the copied template link" , will it still be accessible by the previous buyer?
Thank you 😊. If you’re referring to deleting the current PDF, then uploading a new one to your listing that is fine. Your customer should have access to the original file they first downloaded.
Can I please more clarification on how much customization needs to be done for canva photos? In your post "building my empire while missing kids" the photos was just put in the circle, with no further customization, is that enough for resell rights?
If you are planning on selling templates as long as you add in various other elements like text to the design is ok. Using a photo on its own or just inside the circle would not be allowed. Always add text to the post/design to be safe. Hope that helps!
It is best to only use free elements/free backgrounds in your template designs. If your customer does not have a pro account and you use pro elements they will not be able to download the designs. Hope that helps!
Nice video, but this is like the 1000th video and nobody is showing one thing and maybe I am missing it. How do I do the collage so that I can even post it on Etsy so that everybody can see what's all included in the Canva file? (hopefully this makes sense). The grid that everyone usually has...

So the Canva templates in Canva's library are only made available for purposes of "inspiration"? That's not the understanding I got from Canva. I was under the impression that you can use anything in Canva's library ONLY when adding other elements to it.
You can use the library of templates for personal/business use such as social media posts, documents, presentations ect. But when it comes to selling designs made in Canva (copied directly from the website) : If you want to create a product you can sell, it needs to be an original design. Canva are not clear on what an original design is when it comes to templates specifically. It’s a grey area, I would reccommend reaching out to them directly. I would always just create from scratch- just my opinion 😊

Do you lock any elemmets before sharing or just let them use the template how they like ?
I don’t lock as I like to keep everything as basic as possible for them 😊
how many templates you usually do? i checked canva most made 30 plus templates
It’s totally up to you- I do 20 reel covers and 40 or 50 posts 😊
