I really feel for you all. I was warned about bugs when my daughter started at Nursery. On Christmas Eve, she woke crying about tummy ache. Then came the "vomiting from both ends". Luckily, I didn't catch it. Christmas was a little different that year.
I can't imagine having 4 children, including a new born, and having tummy bugs. I'll keep you all in my prayers tonight and hope this can be cured quickly.
I clean whatever they touch starting from the onset of symptoms. I try to limit all the places they go. If you wait, all those germs are just being spread, so it’s not at effective.

We’ve all had the flu (actually influenza) this last week and omg it’s been so hard. My oldest 2 are finally almost better at day 8, my 2.5 year old still has a pretty rough cough at day 7. I was running a 104 fever for 24 hours. My poor 4 month old started running a fever today. I just want the sickness to end.
My husband 79 and I 67 are just getting over a bad cold.Its miserable even when you are old,but I remember when my kids were little and were sick that’s the worst.Praying y’all feel better soon.
I just got over the worst flu I’ve had in a while, similar to Covid symptoms (difficulty breathing, cough, sore throat, etc).. I got it from my work, and it makes my heart ache to think my little preschoolers had the same thing cause it was ROUGH

So sorry you guys are sick. Our kiddos have been sick the last couple of days with fever, my daughter throwing up, needing her nebulizer (she was a preemie), my son came down with it today. I HATE seeing them so sick :( Also hoping I don't get it because I'm 12 weeks pregnant and can't really take anything but tylenol. I think junk is just going around everywhere this time of year. Hope everyone is on the mend soon!
Hope you can keep Faye safe from it. I understand the fear of brand new babies getting sick. Everyone got the flu when my son was about a month and a half old. I was terrified! He even came down with it (tested positive for it at the doctor's), but his symptoms were extremely mild and only lasted a day, thankfully. I'm thinking it was the antibodies my body had built up in my breastmilk helped him fight it off so well.

Two good recipes for stomach bug:
1. Finely grated raw apple (no skin, grated into almost a liquid) and mashed banana 1:1 - the pectin and banana reduce diarrhea. This is what my mother gave me when I was little.
2. Moro carrot soup. Works almost like a mild antibiotic, I eat it every time. Cook carrots for 90min, add a little bit of salt and puree the soup. Maybe a tiny splash of oil. The long cooking time develops oligosaccharides which have a positive effect on the intestinal flora. Hope this helps!

We’re just getting over the flu in our house and two of our kiddos had GI symptoms as well, plus those crazy high fevers! So miserable! So sorry you guys are dealing with a bug too ♥️

Hope everyone feels better soon. 2/3 of my daughters had RSV and my 18 mth old was hospitalized over night it was so bad. She was lethargic and you could see the retractions when she breathed. It was all October my girls were sick and both were doing albuterol / pulmicort nebulizer treatments every 4 hrs.. and antibiotics and 5 trips to the Dr office. They are finally feeling better..

I feel So sorry for all of you being sick! The same thing happened to me when my children was little how hard it was for me all four of the children getting sick at the same time! I'm so sorry that you guys are sick. The stomach virus that's going around here in Indiana is a seriously bad one. I've had it for 3 weeks now. It's so much worse 'for me anyway" I feel ten times worse now than I ever did either time I had Covid. I'll be praying for you guys 🙏 get feeling better. Love From your Indiana Friend.
I rushed my 1 year old old girl to the e.r 4 days ago. She was sick gor 2 days with a low grade fever theu said it was a virus/stomach. Her fever spiked to 104.5 and rising i almost fainted! She has a double ear infection and ruptured drum. She was in so much pain on day 2 of her amox she would roll on the floor beligerantly screaming in pain and all i could do is cry with her as the pediatrician said it would take about 3 days of the amox and motrin to really help. Thank god she is doing better. Now me and my son are sick. Hope everyone feels better, god bless!

I usually clean a little bit a few days after they get sick to keep germs at bay so they don’t get sick worse and then when fever breaks I do a full on clean and disinfected spray

The toys especially i would wash multiple times. I teach preschool and especially when there is a sickness going around we wash everything. Usually with bleach but just be sure to let them fully dry before giving them back. You would be surprised how many people make that mistake

My daughter and I have been fighting something too. But she’s little so I’m trying so hard to prevent RSV. Right now it’s just congestion and cough but she’s been okay. This time of year is the worstttt. Luckily my husband can’t get sick 😂 he’s deployed somewhere in the ocean

When my kids were little I never disinfected everything other then washing bedding and regular cleaning and my kids were rarely sick.

I usually just do a spot clean or a big touch point clean like what's touched frequently thru the day like you do until we get better then I do more of a clean later .
My son loved Bear in the big blue house! We didn't have cable but he saw it in the motel during our vacation so we had to buy DVDs of it. He called it big house Bear😂 Hope all of you are doing better now.
Popsicles, freezies, etc. are great for pushing fluids.

I disinfect throughout from the first kiddo to the third. Then when it’s is hopefully gone I do it one last time.
If you and Justin take spoonful of honey with cinnamon can help to keep you well. Also keep a thing of wipes and a bottle of half peroxide , half water and wipe toys and surfaces. Much less toxic and kid safe than chemical cleaners

I do it through the whole sickness but also I think that Wears me out to the point where I get sick
I would hold off until everyone is fever free for 24 hours before majorly disinfecting the house…hopefully that is soon!!

You certainly have your hands full. It's been a while but my daughters doctor advised when the fever breaks as the best time to clean it all up.
Sadly my family had the stomach bug as well but my kids r homeschooled so I think we may have gotten it from me from my work :( hope y'all heal up quickly! Stomach bugs r no fun at all!

Cool bath, blood temperature and a fan will bring down temperature also child pain relief... Keep pushing fluids. 2 litres Lemonade and 1 tblsp honey give them 1 tsp every 10 minutes if they can't keep fluids down
A suggestion: any toys that can be immersed in water can be put through a dishwasher cycle for disinfection.

I currently work a customer service job and I heard today that there is a stomach bug going around. I already know someone that has it and I’m def going ti be playing it safe and keeping hand sanitizer on hand and I’m thinking of starting to put a mask again at least during the flu season . I hope you guys get better.
If it’s norovirus, hand sanitizer doesn’t kill it. Lots of hand washing with soap and water!!!
Wear a mask too please. I do on campus. If I go through bathroom I use the sanitizer outside. use the one I have after I get out of there.
From what I heard, they are no longer contagious after 24 hours with no fever. If it was me, I would use the disinfectant wipes on anything they touch or have them do it after they play with something!! Even if it’s not 100%, it’s better than nothing! Hope you all feel better soon
Typically 48 hours after symptoms stop you are less contagious. Although the stomach virus can live for weeks on surfaces. I give myself a full month before being “clear” when it goes around. It’s so bad. 😳
We switch toothbrushes when we’re ALL better. I wash sheets basically everyday when they’re sick.
My pediatrician has me give my kids Tylenol and Ibuprofen alternating every 3 hrs. that is the only thing that will keep there fevers down.
Back when I was growing up yes 70s/80s mom would open windows and spray lysol and clean bathrooms and or course bedding that's it

My mom last Saturday. After our walk at vons. Saying you plugged up. Yep congested. Took theraflu . And Wednesday, my nose was yucky. And my younger brother got me DayQuil and NyQuil
remember to dip their toothbrushes in alcohol everytime they use them. That helps too.

It seems like everyone has been sick, I will tell you when kids go to school they just bring home all those bugs. I am a big Lysol user. I don't have kids at home anymore but grand kids in and out of my house.

I was at the preschool last Wednesday. And a couple in the sunshine room were coughing. Mom says if someone is coughs put clothes in wash and shower
We have just come out of winter here in Australia and it was almost 5 months of constant illnesses, coughs, colds, rsv, gastro. My poor kiddos copped it after being cooped up for 2 years of quarrantine and restrictions.
It will all be fine but make sure it’s not COVID instead of flu. You are super mom!
FYI do not waste your money buying Infant liquid Tylenol or Advil. Buy the large bottle of liquid, it has the same strength and dosing!
Viruses only last on surfaces for a limited time so unless you’re regularly cleaning/sanitising then there’s not much point doing a deep clean once everyone is better! :-)

Norovirus can last on surfaces for weeks…they can last in high and low temps as well. Only thing that kills it is bleach
Personally I let my kids have fevers - within reason. I’ll medicate if they get above like 103. Anything under I let it go. Fevers are what kills the illness from within. My kids have been by and far less sick over the years then my friends kids who medicate every sickness. I go by how they’re feeling, acting, eating, drinking and bathrooming on whether to take them to the Dr. My kids are now 20, 18, 16 and 8 yo. I also use a non toxic non aerosol plant based germ killer. Lysol and bleach are not good for lungs ect.

Being to hygienic can also cause problems! My mom is a nurse and she almost lost a thumb because she has to wash her hands so much while at work. We also have good bacteria and not only in our gut also on our skin and they NEED to be there for our protection!
We had all these symptoms I thought for sure stomach flu or virus but it turned out to be the actual flu 😭
