Interesting conversation. Having visited the EU, well most of it, the only significant advantage they have is job opportunities and career building specs.
The is the ONLY advantage, but it's more than enough. Even with the higher taxes, etc.., it's still enough for people to choose their programs over Turkey's.
I would have expected the Turkish government to do more in terms of, let's say, encouraging remote workers, pushing for technological opportunities (there are some efforts but not nearly enough), and allowing remote workers to live in Turkey, get citizenships (or at least permanent residencies), lower taxes to attract them, etc..
Being a remote worker or "digital nomad" myself, instead of being able to live here indefinitely, I'm forced to buy real estate just to be able to stay in Turkey indefinitely. Now I might choose to do that if I really, REALLY love the country. But I assure you, others will not and I think it's a big loss for the Turkish economy.
    Cheers !

Can you make a video on permanent residency via property investment under $250,000

  • @moosa809
    @moosa809 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Not at all... $400,000 can get you a Portugal citizenship which is a top 5 passport..
    $250,000 was ok for Turkey..

    Awesome episode
I think golden visa cannot be compared to a CBI program, it should be compared real estate investment residency program, and in that case, the Turkish program has much higher advantages over the golden visa in technical term. However, The TK CBI is very attractive with the threshold at $250K, I think raising it to $400k will make it lose its attractiveness. Regards

400k really isn’t attractive as there are other programs like st kitts at 400k and they have a far better passport

A great video again from the most credible source. I was one that made the comment that for some individuals or families, the increase could put them off the programme in question. However, the explanation that Cameron gave with regard to ROI in Turkey on holding the investment over a three period, should and must be taken into consideration, provided the projections are sustainable.
An approximate projection of 50% increase in any investment within three years, is bloody good in my books!

Look i think your country is missing a trick with putting the number up to 400k and this is the reason. Given the 90 day rule in the EU i was considering liquidating my property in Spain and buying in Turkey. However, considering the TAX i have to pay in Spain on sale and the jump from 250 to 400 i'm just better off getting a non lucrative visa in Spain and staying put.

I know this video is a few months old, but I am curious to how long this program is expected to continue, or if the citizenship law was indefinite. I would like to have Turkish citizenship, but will not have the means to invest in bonds for a few years. Any information on the expected length of the program would be greatly appreciated!

I used to live in Toronto. As you know TO and it’s GTA’s is the most diversified city in this earth. However, I can not go back to TO anymore because the real state is passed my limits and ability to own one nor to keep one. Not to forgot the rush-hours traffic.
I wanted to head to Vancouver but the case is the same as TO. So unless you have disposable money 💰 it’s better to plane your destination a head. See what you can offer and your expectation. And find out which city or province will give that.
Canada have a lot to offer. So if you are planning on visiting or living here, watch few videos and learn about your distinction. That way you will save your time and 💰.

Raising the bar up to $400K means U must buy at least $450K worth of real estate to qualify for the CBI programe....... at this situation, I m ready to close my eyes and park $500K FD at Turkish bank to surpass the 3 years lock in period and then walk away with a full family of TURKISH PASSPORT holders without loosing a penny !! Sounds realistic ?

  • @sammohd938

I agree that USD400K is still worth it. The question is, would it still be affordably attractive to those that only has a budget of around USD280 to 300K - official valuation will always be lesser than the purchased property price so USD250K is definitely not enough. Meaning it won't be USD400K on the dot either. On top of the required investment amount, one needs to have some cash at hand too, definitely - imagine a family of four. To those that are interested to get the citizenship, the majority of them, I believe, do not really care about investment. There're merely looking for an escape plan from their shitty countries - whatever the reason is. Turkey is Turkey. It has its advantages - beautiful country, great people, delicious food, wonderful choice of climates and mesmerising culture and history. Fantastic location to boot! At the end of the day, one has to make choices based either on affordability, sentiment or long term vision or all 3.

I think Turkish CBI is worth it up to $500K USD. However, if it goes beyond $500K USD, I would simply purchase 1 property and settle for Residence. I am one of those people who would choose Turkey because I want to live there.
