    going to revisit tomorrow for my AP Bio exam on Monday. Need to make sure I do well on my first exam of the year. Love the great depth explanation.
    I took CP Biology in freshman year and passed the year with a A in the class, I am nervous that I won't do so well in AP Bio like I did in CP Bio. Any study suggestions?

    What exactly do you mean by partial charges?

    • @ScienceWithJohnston
      @ScienceWithJohnston  7 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Well there are three common scenarios when you are talking about bonding. One is you share electrons, and you do so equally. So we start up a business together and share the money 50/50. We call this non-polar, and it has no charge imbalance. Next we could start that business, but split it 70/30. When this happens with electrons one atom or part of the molecule has more of the electrons than the other. They are still sharing, but just not equally. Because it is not 100/0 though, it isn't a full charge, it is only a partial positive or negative charge. If it was a full charge I get everything and you get nothing. This happens with ionic bonds where some ions lose electron(s), and other gain the electrons. There is no sharing involved. Typed this quick, so I hope it makes sense.

    a question how can i walk like jeuses on water

    • @ScienceWithJohnston
      @ScienceWithJohnston  6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Easiest way: freeze the water before you walk on it. You can even skate on it if you'd like to earn style points. Good luck.
