- Follow us in this 2nd part exploring and documenting the Bradford Beck river , in West Yorkshire, England; running under Bradford city centre the river culvert’s history goes as far back as the 19th century!
Love looking back at this. So so much to explore down under Bradford. Its very dangerous and can catch you out very quickly. Stay safe and can't wait to see part 3 if you continue the adventure. 👍
Loving this, great videos! The manhole daylight shot was onto the old Royal Mail sorting office in central Bradford which has obviously been demolished.
i had walked this in1965 water was lot higher that time there were no repairs done it was all stone and brick. it didnr smell at all.nice videos
I went under the town centre with work about 20 years ago installing flow monitors. As well as the beck there are lots of clean dry brick tunnels big enough to get a car down (well an old Mini anyway).
Your backs must hurt after this. A marvelous world under there. I enjoy this kind of adventure.
An RC Car or Drone would be sweet to bring along for those off-shooting tunnels into the ground. Cool stuff to see though, thanks for checking it out and sharing!
Absolutely amazing videos mate. Where abouts was it where you entered the beck?
i remember being a kid in the early 80s and playing inthe beck whwe it used to be open at the now coverd over section in the tesco car park the old site of bradfords long gone power station and dareing each other to go down the tunnels either under bradford city center or down river to shipley,,,, can you imagine kids today doingsomething like that,,,,, lol plus iv in recent years even thought about going prospecting in the sectionjust before tescos where the old riverbed is visable at the tripple tunnel section near uriah woodheads builders merchants,,,, not for gold nuggets but lost jewelary and coins that were lost down the drains many many years ago and are more than likley just waiting to be recoverd,,,, lol,,, great video
Thanks Stuart ! 😊🙋🏻♂️😊
I reckon those vaulted sections are underneath or near to the cathedral
will have to re watch later in full, as have to go out. But loving what ive seen so far
I'm positive
these are the Cathedral arches
@25:30 -- Don't worry about the Rat , wait until you come across the Alligator . Lol .
My cousin drowned in the beck back in the 80’s she was found somewhere under the city
Oh so tragic 😟😔
I've never done anything like this.... but I'd bloomin love to. 😀👍 Great vid.
I kept thinking in those smaller dry tunnels, you need an electric scooter to sit on and shoot along 🤔 😃
Regards..... Steve.
Hi, could we take some clips of this to put into a Friends of Bradford's Becks video about the becks?
Yes for sure ! 🙋🏻♂️🙏🏼😊, with my credits of course !
I need one of them torches you have on the blue helmet where do you get one from
That video was 3 years ago !, my lighting has improved a lot ! I’d recommend you the HM71R headtorch by Fenix 👌🏼🔦 easy detachable can be used as hand torch
Excellent !!
He likes his key stones.
TY
Any crocodile down there
10:04 near Tescos on canal road, due to stupidity levels in Bradford they try not to have open sections as people will randomly fall in, inbreeding for ya!
You should have took some beers down with you
Real life half-life? Imagine
strange seeing ppl wearing masks lol
