It is just SO exciting to log onto youtube and see all these videos of these new trains. Really excited for Northern Cali right now almost to the point where I would move back....ALMOST.
@@ericfung5279 Yes, and VTA's trains are KinkiShario trains. They sound similar; the eBART and Caltrain trains have a similar bell and horn, but the Caltrain one rings faster.
Trains from Switzerland to the USA. It’s bad that America can’t make high-quality trains for passengers. But even beautiful trains from Europe are disfigured by terrible train horns!
I dont get these VVVF inverters, what is ABB cooking with this traction!? Such bizarre modulation technique with the carrier frequency bouncing around all willy nilly between 1000Hz and 2000Hz!
It’s confirmed August 10 as a soft launch, meaning they’ll sneak in one of them for passenger service. September 21 when the EMUs will completely takeover the Caltrain services between Tamien & San Francisco.

I love the way the trains sound. They remind me of the eBART and VTA Light Rail.
eBart trains are also made by Stadler, but they were diesel trains unlike the Caltrain EMUs.

Question is. Why didn’t they grade separate Broadway as part of the project???
I can't wait to ride these.

Reminiscent of an electric train Stadler Kiss, which began operation in Azerbaijan (Baku) in 2015, and in Russia (Moscow) in 2017.
