Awesome restore, in my opinion this is the best colour scheme of the mc22s. Bit disappointed we didn't get to hear the bike rev out, they sound and perform the best in the high RPMs.
These bikes are rare as they were thrashed by inexperienced riders throughout the 90’s and 00’s. You will find them in sheds along with ZX2’s and FZR 250 four cylinder four strokes waiting to be repaired or restored. They are so much fun to ride.
@@premier1975 perma grin is bigger now 😁 done some work on the bike had a couple of heart attacks but Im above ground and I can ride my bike so Im happy 🤗
You have hit the lottery getting to ride this RR. Amazing restoration on this rare bike. Getting parts for ot must have been an nightmare. Thanks for sharing. Eric
Based in Norfolk UK have two 1996 250f hornets one black one red. Struggling to rebuild 😢cant wait to get them on the road. Epic vid of a legend bike mate
great vid! Paul is a the goat of mc22's. cant wait to get my hands on one of his built mc22's. im 38 , full bike licence and still love these little gems. i eould ride this little mc22 over a litre bike. lol. i know it may sound crazy but i judt love the little things.
My experience of owning one is that no one else knows about the lack of torque from a 250cc, because you arrive at the lights (and take off) like a MotoGP rider - you can be heard from miles away.
@@paulscountry456 True, there are bigger bikes that won't keep up with it at top speed. Technically speaking, these road bikes were amazing. But you don't always need top speed to be faster or have fun... These days there are very few places left where you can still use that top speed without losing your license.
And it looks like a wee sweetie! I had a '91 CBR400RR that put out 53bhp ,enough to take it to 130mph. If tucked in behind the fairing and using your knee sliders is where it's at for you ,you gotta get one. Coz they're rare and spares are rare, just get a pre-injection 600.
This was my first bike (learner legal in NZ). Gutted to not hear 19k+ rpm again though... This is what they sound like (stock) giving an R6 a hard time th-cam.com/video/JC38axv1DcQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4Sw3_wnXk-jzS_e7
I know it was not your bike, but a shame you couldn’t ring it out to 18-19 K just once to hear it really sing. Thanks for posting it.
Thanks man, appreciate it ✌️🏍

Yes, they sure do 👌

Yeah definitely are
Tried getting this but couldn't find a decent example. Instead found a fully recoed gsx250f suzuki.
Those would be expensive to make and a marvel just to make a 250 four and wrap it in all that perfect bodywork.
@@paulscountry456 definitely, but well worth it. Paul does a great job
Just turned 59 and I,ll be taking delivery of one these little beautys in 2 weeks 😊❤😊 perma grin is comin baby !!!!!!
Congratulations man 👌🏍
How's it goin' now?

I really enjoyed the seeing the bike from not onboard, thanks for doing those shots! Cheers!
Thanks man ✌️
What a beautiful example of a high revving classic.
He's done a great job 👌
Love your review your not belting it the whole time and I get to hear a genuine mate telling me everything.
Thank you man, appreciate your support 🙏
@@FrankTripleMoto Yes just fucked my car door 10 minutes ago backing out the garage so maybe I’ll look into a mc22

Brilliant bike and even better restoration. Paul is working on mine at the moment. Can't wait for it to be finished
It is an awesome bike ✌️🏍

Agreed, riding small capacity bike fast is much more for fun then riding big bikes slow ✌️🏍
Love it, gorgeous. Very envious! Enjoyed the whole video. Cheers mate!
Thanks man
These bikes are fun to play with, but in the end, it's always the torque of a big, juicy engine that attracts the crowds...
True, but if possible, a little of both is the way to go
My experience of owning one is that no one else knows about the lack of torque from a 250cc, because you arrive at the lights (and take off) like a MotoGP rider - you can be heard from miles away.
I think it is amazing example of what just 250cc can do,these bikes hit high speeds.

gotta love them. dont start to move till 6k rpm and what 60kmh at 20k rpm

I have to admit I've never heard of a CBR 400rr.....sounds tempting though
Yah mc22 is legendary bike❤❤❤
I thought I recognised some of these roads. I grew up in the Royal National Park.
Yeah, great place to ride if you get the time right 👌🏍
Thats such a great example done well. I miss these Loud out there Colour schemes Sports bikes had
Very true man ✌️🏍
I have a 1989 vtr250 revs about 14000, would love to ride and compare both bikes.
Another great bike 👌
. @@FrankTripleMoto Well if it's a Spada, then yes. The later VTR was cheapened up with only a 5 speed box and detuned motor.
I have a mc22 and love it would take a massive chunk of change to take it off my hands
Totally agree man 👌🏍
Same as
i really want one of these.
Well worth it if you can get your hands on one, super fun bike to ride 👌
Good review mate
