    There needs to be a college level, electric kart racing series. It could be a win on so many levels-growing tech, exposing talent, making money, feeding talent to pro level racing. The quiet electric platform could be located near populated areas where more people can gain an appreciation for racing. It’s fun to dream.

    coming from RC's , nitro vs Lipo , this is a perfect direction for karting. I always preferred Lipo over Nitro in RC's , so many benefits and little compromises.

    Solar is VERY inefficient and lithium is not sustainable very long. Nuclear is literally 100% environmentally friendly and almost perfectly efficient. A gas Kart actually has less of a carbon footprint than the electric Karts when you factor the lifespan of a Kart and how much/long it is used. Don't fall for the environment crap. These Karts are awesome, I would love to have one. Wish they talked about what actually makes these Karts great and not some bullshit environment speech. Especially when they have a greater carbon footprint than a gas Kart would.

    I'm just a spectator, but very interesting to hear how tires and chassis work. Super cool! 😃😃😃

    Ok cool...
    Now give me the 2 stroke one.
    It simply isn't Karting without it. 😅

    I mean, everything else is turning into sh**.
    At least we could save Karting.
    I don't mind having an electric CATEGORY, but the 2 stroke ones reving high and screaming should never go.

    Too heavy. Too expensive. Too long to recharge (an hour versus seconds to refuel). It would be better to embrace cleaner burning four-strokes with synthetic fuels. They are a more sustainable, more cost-effective solution than either 2-strokes or electric karts. That "huge battery" is going to be a logistical nightmare, especially if it can't be swapped. Please don't force this on the karting community. This is regress, not progress.

      4 stroke? please no!

    • @flyingphoenix113
      @flyingphoenix113 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@kddkdkykdkdkf5817, 4 stroke shifters are more fun than 2 stroke shifters, mate. More linear power band, better low-end torque, better top-end pull, better engine longevity, and more consistent performance across the engine's life. Given the cost between 2 and 4 stroke is about equal, it's a no-brainer to switch to lower maintenance, lower emission 4 strokes.

    • @kddkdkykdkdkf5817
      @kddkdkykdkdkf5817 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@flyingphoenix113 I have never seen a 4 stroke shifter in germany... Here we have TM/Vortex KZ etc. Maybe I should give it a try :-)

    • @flyingphoenix113
      @flyingphoenix113 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@kddkdkykdkdkf5817, if you can get your hands on one, definitely try it! It's familiar and alien at the same time if you are coming from something like an ROK shifter. It's between KF and KZ pace-wise, but much more enjoyable to drive imo because of that linear powerband. There is a lot less sudden oversteer since they do not "come on the pipe" like a 2 stroke, and you can be a lot more aggressive with the throttle at corner exit (although, ironically, the throttle is even MORE sensitive at the apex due to the added low-end torque).
      4-strokes are kind of boring with a single speed though. The VLR, Rotax Max, X30, etc. are much more exciting for that. Shifters are where they come alive (and, they're much better training for an actual car if you want to move on to Formula 4/Ford/Renault or GT racing).

    • @flyingphoenix113
      @flyingphoenix113 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I've driven electric karts too, but it's just not the same. They tend to really understeer on corner entry because the extreme weight (and low center of gravity) means that the chassis struggles to activate, and you can't get it to jack properly on entry. There's plenty of throttle oversteer on exit thanks to the torque, but they also bleed off a lot of acceleration down the straight (due to the single speed and the way that electric motors work). They just feel awkward on track--constant understeer followed by snap oversteer. That's why I said it feels like a regress. It's really not enjoyable. 😞
