The sampling is such genius, the ad-libs from MTS (like at 1:02) are such a cool segue to new parts of the songs, something about her delivery feels so propulsive! I also especially like that same sample at 5:53, I love that no matter how dense that section gets yet you can still hear that silly sample popping in amidst the five others that play at the same time. Can I ask if this was a difficult song to produce ? It sounds effortless but at the same time the amount of stuff happening at all times is dizzying. Absolutely one of my favorite songs of all time, it's a total flex production wise that still manages to stay humorous and fun. And it's hooks on hooks on hooks...
Ohh I’m so glad you like it!! 🥹🥹😍😍 I don’t recall it being too difficult at the time, although it was mixed before I upgraded my machine so it was a little more difficult than it would be now but the song was kinda getting back to making new tracks after doing a bunch of mixes so I was probably quite inspired haha! I think it was a challenge to have it build continuously on each repeated section but the original demo I previewed in one of the mixes had a lot of the ideas, it just needed polishing and developing on. I honestly never expected it to become this kinda top ten or top twenty song, it was just a little thing I had fun making so it’s incredibly humbling and flattering to see it so popular and liked! 🥹😍
After so many months I'm still completely addicted to this one, what an absolute smash! I'm absolutely addicted to the "this be the truest-ish ever spoke" part and I wish that part could go on for minutes, that vocal cadence paired with the synths and "call you on the phone" sample is so swift and infectious. Also so impressed with how this goes from straight club house to something much more "sophisticated" with the more live sounding drumming and composition. It's a trick that I also admire in All I Can Feel and it just blows my mind how cool it sounds.

I was so taken with the track, particularly the way you’ve managed to weave several often-simultaneous different vocal samples into something cohesive.
