@@gormauslander i think that’s just a fashion element of a game so you can pick his hairstyle. there’s no way it’d be that short still even if he tied it back. a beards an interesting idea but i don’t think this is the right link for it. maybe it’s the cell shading, maybe it’s the more playful nature of these two games, maybe it’s completely subjective, i don’t know. either way, now that we have games like BotW and TotK out, i’d love to see this duology put to rest in a such good place and another new direction explored. an older link that has to face a new challenge would be interesting, but i’m not experienced enough to know a good direction to take it in. i’d say something like Majoras Mask or the Oracle games, where there’s no Ganon, no Zelda, no triforce, no Master Sword. just a new and powerful evil that has to be conquered by a seasoned, older, tired warrior.

Also, it is 100% possible to have the same length of hair after 6 years, as there's a neat little convention we know as "haircuts". The headpiece that allows you to go back to botw style is literally just a hair band. It's not magical, it grants 0 protection, literally just a hairband, so it's not shortening his hair.

If a dev throws trees and hills around it's usually not thier fault. Time constraints and budgets sometimes only allow for lame BS like that.
The real problem with every open world game is the late game. Maybe not every game but most open world games run out of fresh ideas and get stale by the later part of the game and botw definitely had that problem. Great game though, even if it had a couple random hills and trees, just jk.

The reason Legend of Zelda became my favorite Nintendo franchise was because as a kid, I was the only left-handed person I knew. At first I thought there was something wrong with me, until I grew older and met many other people like me. Link was one of those people. Ocarina of Time was my first Zelda game and finding out Link was left-handed made me relate to him more than any other character in a video game I've ever played. Since then, he became my favorite Nintendo hero. Ever since Twilight Princess, Link has been primarily right-handed. I wish one day he comes back as a left-handed hero I knew and loved.

I get excited when I hear the Rito Village theme because it starts with a slow, soothing clarinet solo with piano, and then cuts into a soft buildup with strings, and then into laidback instruments (I can't think of the name of them), and back to a clarinet solo with other instruments into the background, and then it goes back into the clarinet solo with the piano. The reason I'm so excited is because I played the clarinet in my junior high's band, beginner, wind ensemble in 7th grade (top band for the best of the band kids), and symphonic band in 8th grade (second band, I was only in there because the clarinets needed a leader, so I was constantly first chair and was practicing with the top band's clarinet players) almost 10 years ago. I can't believe it's been that long, but because of my decision to join both band _and_ choir, I can now tell apart different classical instruments.

I’d like to see a Zelda game where Link is visibly much older than he is usually shown, kinda like dark knight rises. Maybe show him as an older man.
In the beginning he’s slower and has more difficulty doing his usual moves. During the course of the game, he gets smarter and stronger

I am so down for a game with that older link. Could be from a timeline where botw link failed, but didnt die once again. Or maybe one where he only managed to trap ganon, and was injured badly. In the mean time civilization advanced and we get some big cities here and there. That would be a cool take.
