@@Adil-sv2xi Yes it is, even though it doesn‘t really matter for the PS4 too much which SSD you use in particular, but the price difference is not so big if you find a good deal on the internet and maybe I‘ll use it for other things in the future as well.
A good few months back I got a data bank and put a 4tb hard drive in there to hook to my ps4.... I had well over 50 games and that mess took several days to install all the games.
Great video. I have a unmodded PS4 Slim currently running on 9.00 firmware. I would like to upgraded the HDD to 2tb. Should I upgrade the HDD before of after I Mod the PS4?? I know that probably sound like a Noob question. Please excuse my ignorance. This is my first time ever modding a console, and I just want to make sure I do it right.
the web exploit mod stops any time you power off the console... so ... do the upgrade of the HDD ...then mod and play, thats why you need a dedicated usb stick with the mod... to start it each time you power on the console.
I downloaded the file and save it in th usb just like you said bot I'm still getting a message that says it canot fin update file Im stock please help.
@@EchoStretch if I transfer my games and saves to my external hdd, then am I still good to switch out the internal hdd for a larger one? Edit: I’m thinking of going for a internal 2tb hdd but don’t want to lose anything on the original hdd.
is it the same process if we try on a jailbroken ps4?? don't want to update the firmware by mistake
Dude imagine if someone accidentally put in 9.03 in a 9.00 update file
but you lost your all savee datas and games right ?
Thanks for this detailed tutorial, installed a 8TB Samsung SSD in my PS4 Pro :D
Damn that must've costed more than the console itself.
@@Adil-sv2xi Yes indeed, but changed it now to a 4TB Samsung 870 Evo because the Ps4 cannot handle the 8TB very well unfortunately but not a big deal.
@@maxtwax yeah I’m upgrading my jailbroken 9.00 to a Samsung 870 evo in a couple days too. Seems like the best ssd for ps4

Take a shot every time he says "go ahead"
Always burn the recovery file and update to a dvd, just in case.

Nothing on the hard drive I want as for backing up the games that will come in another video. This was just a general hdd swap.
