I had the same issue with the Grunt loadout. Threw it in the back of a drawer (to deal with at a later date), forgot all about it, then turned around and ordered another Grunt loadout with my VAMP upgrades. Guess what, same issue. I love GridIron Studios, but these two seem to be hiccups in their lineup of great products. Thinking about sanding down the peg until I get the desired fitment.
Can confirm, sanding the peg worked for the Dusty backpack, which I'm guessing is the same design for the Grunt loadout. The reason the issue exists, is due to Hasbro changing the peg hole size. With that said, GS should also adjust accordingly or at least make note on their website stating it requires tweaking.

Man, TOTAL bummer that pack didn't work. Along with the soft goods, that backpack would've really been a big visual upgrade for ol' Dusty. You'd think in 2024 we would be able to consistently make accessories that actually FIT on toys. 😂 It's not just a Grid Iron problem, even Hasbro's own backpacks are janky a significant percentage of the time.

Nice review. That gear looks great but this set is a bit disappointing for the price point. If you follow up with Grid Iron about it I'd like to see an update on what they said or did. I'm not crazy about some of the backpack pegs I've seen from them, but I myself only have one and it fits well enough.
Don't get me started on Hasbro's backpacks, mate. A perfect example is that Desert SE, his doesn't fit properly because of the strap it has to be pushed through. Then there is Tunnel Rat, talk about a nightmare.

I don't think it will fix to it, but let me have a look shortly and come back to you.
The netting looks like crap. At the very least it needs a slit in the middle so you can drape it over the head like a poncho but an actual cloth poncho would have been even better. Also a missed opportunity for the soft goods helmet upgrade like the OG Dusty. The Shemagh is weak.
It's fine and one can easily cut a slit into it if they desire so. The small piece of material I showed in the video is designed to be glued to the back of the helmet to create the exact effect you're touching on.
