I come from a Kendo background of 3 years, and when my dojo moved I joined a HEMA club and eventually helped start and maintain a HEMA club for 3 more years before being back in Kendo now. There's a lot of helpful stuff to take away from Kendo and apply to something like HEMA especially German Longsword, they both have very similar basics and philosophy.
I dont even do Kendo, i do HEMA, but i love your stuff and i love this guy and your commentary/ translation. Some good parallels.
