Indeed, Bustelo works well as a reusable for the Vertuo. Since I don't have the Capmesso foil lids I use Glad's Press 'n Seal paper. It works well most of the times. Of course, the Capmesso's are way easier to apply.

cannot seem to get strong coffee doing this--is there a trick or type of grind?
I noticed it leaves coffee on top of the lid after each use. I wonder if this will clog and damage the machine over time.

What am I doing wrong.? I tried this hack, but i get a lot of coffee in the place where the pods get dispensed. Please help
Did you measure how much coffee grounds came out of the original pod and how much you put into the refill pod?

What grind are you using? I assume a coarse espresso. i.e., coarser than used in say barista express, but still fine.

@@JustADad it literally says "espresso ground" on the can in the video. That's not "between fine and med"....
This is my favorite video yet! I have been refilling my pods constantly since back in December, it saves so much money and tastes great, and you can use the capsules 100's of times.. I put 15g in each capsule and it turns out delicious, I use dark roast capsules because it seems to have more flavor, can you do a video trying different colors of capsules with the same roast and give your opinions about it? btw I shared this video with a Nespresso group I'm in because people have been very curious about this subject and you do great videos, I asked them to give you a like too :)

@@JustADad I just like coffee tasting, and machine testing but especially coffee tasting, like using other brand coffees in the capsules which would taste best? so far for me Sumatra is best from Starbucks.. I'm soon going to do Bustelo Decaf Capsules, I hope they turn out good
