You solved my problem. I was trying to get straight above videos but I didn't have a clamp tripod. The weight idea helped. I just used an 8lb dumbell with flat sides. My desk has a shelf above it that worked perfectly.

Yes this video helps me a bunch because I've been using a freaking camera that kind of shakes when I draw. But I also have a camera stand that I can use that doesn't shake while I draw. And you've helped me out with that and I want to thank you.

I have a disability that makes me unable to work alone (generalized epilepsy but for me specifically Tonic-Clonic epilepsy) so people are very hesitant about hiring me 😢 😅

I've used heavy objects, like an actual dumbbell, and put it a plastic bag, and hang it on my tripod lol. But the rice in a sock trick sounds better =)

it is a big frustration and nightmare with all this recording youtube thing, cause they invent phones after phones but they don t think to invent more overhead easy tripods, and more close up lens :/

So actualy the best way that ive found is to get one of those 10$ phone arms, then clip the arm onto your table, instead of buying 2 tripods invest that money in a 15$ ring light. And if you wanna do voice overs id go for the best usb mic you can afford. P.s please record on a perfectly clean surface. Nobody wants to see a cat hair in frame. Anyway yeah. Thats how i do it. I actualy have my ring light connected to the phone arm so its a pretty compact system

Tape the page down onto your desk! I have the exact same issue. Use a T-Square to get it centered and straight :)
