I get that you like them, I used to until all their songs started sounding similar which was pretty much after New Beginning but to say it should be the greatest moment in music history is just nonsense.

The early stuff was mainly by-the-numbers classic rock performed at a high level. In their own music they're far more varied across genres. If you want to equate "sounding similar" to "highest quality and effort," then ok. Kanami clearly polishes her creations intensely in post, and uses her DAW to add tons of layers. Some people don't like that, but they regularly release Live versions where 90% of the polish comes from pre-performance practice.
Saw them in Chicago for this tour and Hate was the most intense point of the whole night! No one saw the battle coming so there was this collective shock we felt as we saw it unfold! Thanks for posting!

Watching the band members interact with each other and how happy they all are is the best thing ever. And of course MISA and Akane are the best bass & drummer duo. and the duel between Kanami and Misa as well just never gets old. I know it is said often by Band-Maid fans but all this, and how well they all perform together and behave towards one another and for as long as they have, I truly believe they are the greatest in Rock and Roll right now.
OK boys, now who is the greatest rock band in the world? Been getting into the Warning and the Sixsters lately but this reminds me who stands head and shoulders above the rest. Not just girl bands, all rock bands. Nobody can play like this live but the Maids.
BAND-MAID is on a completely different level than all the rest. The song writing and riffs are next level. Misa is absolutely insane on bass. Akane is perfect. Akane is insane and writes the best songs on earth. Miku is on a differ level and holds the band’s pieces together as well as being a perfect backing voice and created the entire idea. And then we have Saiki. There literally isn’t another Saiki on earth. Without her, these are all just really good songs. She is what makes the songs perfect. Her voice is absolutely perfect, her timing, intonation, style, tone and presence is what makes this entire band stand above everyone else. Saiki is literally the perfect singer for Kanamis writing. Literally this band is perfect in every way.
This pair of songs tops my all favorite set by the shear energy and intensity they bring. Mincho and Misa's Hate? dual is the best I have every heard AND Akane...OMG...do you hear those nonstop double kicks during that epic dual! Geez LouWheeze! This band...this band is incredible! Thank you for the great video. This is the first time I've seen it from the intro of DICE to the ending of Hate. I didn't know this was one flow. It was amazing.

There is no other band who are as great as Band-Maid. This is the ultimate showdown between Misa and Kanami; I love the way that they are having so much fun. If anyone could recommend any more great female bands I would really appreciate it. I have been loving Japanese female rock only for a short while. These ladies are truly wonderful.
The Jazz Avengers -- got me to listen to jazz again, and even enjoy soprano sax. For a less-jazzy introduction consider their cover of Pick Up the Pieces. My go-to is "Maybe I Know" to hear their Miku (Yonezawa) slay tenor sax in the most beautiful way.

You know you're stepping all over Band-Maid's official live YT release of Hate? from Yokohama, and the bluray that I and many other faithful fans paid good money for. What gives you the right to re-upload the official live version of Hate?, along with the preceding song "Dice", other than to collect subs for your puny channel and make money? You should be paying a royalty to all of the fans who financed this blu-ray rip for you, along with Band-Maid and their production team for their investment and hard work. RIP-OFF!
@@ericifune5543 I don't think a small YT channel like mine is going to affect Band-Maid popularity. People will watch their concerts regardless of my channel. Also, unless you live in Japan, importing blu-rays from Japan is very expensive and most people can not afford it anyway. BTW, I bought the BR of every single video you see on my channel so I do support those bands in my own way.

Badmaid are pretty good but I can't help comparing them to TRiDENT. They have 5 members but somjow manage to only sound half as good as Asaka's 3 piece band.
I've never listened or heard of TriDENT, but that was an ignorant and biased remark. Saying Band Maid "Manage to only sound half as good"? What is your problem? Your musical snobbery is not appreciated! Akane, Misa, and Kanami were classically trained since they were kids. Miku was a fast study learning the Rhytmn guitar.Saki's voice has wide range, from soft to power choruses and growls.
@blank557 yes, it's biased by my personal tastes. Nothing wrong with that and I don't see how it's snobbery. But go listen to TRiDENT and you'll see what I mean. They're both part of the same genre, part of the same scene, and have very similar sounds, so it's a reasonable and natural comparison to make. Whichever one you end up liking more is entirely up to you.

So I checked out TriDENT, and listen to four songs. They are good. I give their drummer full marks. But their Bass player, while accomplished, is no way comparable to Misa. The lead guitarist neither has the wide range or imaginative riffs Kanami demonstrates on every Band Maid song. TriDENT is a good fun band to listen too, but they are not in Band Maid league, and I doubt they would think they are. They are just a different flavor, which is fine. But don't confuse that to say they are technically or musical superior to Band Maid.

There have been a handful of bands that are great in studio and then 1000 times better live. This is one. Incredible talent and effort.

To me Sakai's voice is my Nancy Wilson. She doesn't have that high shrill if you know what I mean.
