You are probably using it in greenscreen mode instead of virtual green screen. You need to define the value of green for your green screen under options.
5:20 for future reference you can just hold the home button on the controller to automatically recenter the feet position to where you're standing without worrying about messing with the offsets in beatsaber

Your Video greatly helped me with the setup, thank you very much! I got 1 -2 additions that you have not mentioned, what could possibly be the result of an older version. In my version i had to manuallly check the „moving camera“ option after choosing „start mixed reality“ , because otherwise my camera was way off in the wrong direction. That was the biggest realisation after lots of frustration 😅. The other tip would be to really check if the feet marking in beat saber after booting up is where the iphone is and the marking is pointing in the direction where you wanna play. Sometimes the feet were quite in a different spot. Possibly because the calibration failed. Oh, and a third thing: i drew my guardian beyond my camera because i had connection losses with the mixed reality capture app. Man i am happy that i got it running, but it can be a lot try and error. :)
I know. It can be very frustrating at times. I will usually use my phone's camera app to set up the position against the green screen before I start the calibration. That way I can make sure that at least the camera is facing the right direction to capture the action against the green screen. I wish I had a larger space to use because I think it would help if we could be further away from the camera. As for pointing in the wrong direction, I found that if you change your direction in the Quest2 after you start the mixed reality session it will mess your position up.

I saw old videos where it was possible to turn a bit and then holdpress menu button for reset camera and only the camera turned. I guess it will, right now mess up the camera so i wondered how rotating the axis ingame would turn out. Seems like you gave me the answer beforehand but still gonna check it.
If I want the camera directly behind me, I set the position in the Quest 2 (long press of the quest2 menu button) so the phone is directly behind me before start the session. If I want to be facing at an angle from the camera, I make sure I'm facing the desired direction relative to the phone's camera before I start the session. I've actually recorded 2 sessions at slightly different angles so I could combine the 2 videos to show different directions, for example th-cam.com/video/CsQD5KaMRBA/w-d-xo.html

That most likely resulted in a big desynching (sabers were more on the left side) afterwards. I also always get a mini freeze while in the first Minute of the song. Have to check if its once per session or more often. Will try again tomorrow.

It still works for me. I mostly use it for fitxr in raw/spectator mode and shoot myself against a green screen now, and use a video editor to mix the videos together.

You using an iphone and it's not connecting? Make sure you have a good router, and the Quest2 and iPhone are connected to the same wifi. For some reason the calibration works without any issues, but when I press start mixed reality it comes up with an error saying I have to either have the phone and quest on the same wifi (even though they are) do the calibration (which I’ve done) or play a game that allows mixed reality (I’m playing beat saber) does anyone know what to do (btw I have mods and am on version 1.28 if that changes anything)
few years ago i made this kind of tutorial but using the android version of LIV Mobile (they also made LIV Mobile iOS) but Reality Mixer still exist until now while LIV Mobile has been shutdown by the developer now (MRC) Mixed Reality 'Capture' mixed up with Mixed Reality 'AR Passthrough', don't get me wrong, i also love to make content with MRC and kindda upset becauise lot's of game unable to enter the MRC mode due to the firmwire update v50 and above
I've also used LIV and was very disappointed when the developer pulled it. It's also a shame that MRC has been "broken" by the latest updates. I guess we can always still shoot against a green screen and pair with a headset recording.
It can sometimes be hit or miss. I just wish it gave a wider field of view. I will usually have the camera directly behind me, or slightly at an angle.
What sort of problems are you having? I assume you are using an iPhone that has an A12 chip, and have the MRC app on your Quest as well as the Reality Mixer app on your phone? And phone and Quest are on same WiFi? Are you able to complete the calibration for the Reality Mixer app on your phone? Can you do the normal casting to the oculus app on your phone? Incendently, the iphone oculus app can record a split screen casting where the headset view is on one side, and live action on the other (not mixed reality, but better than nothing if Reality Mixer is not working)
I think there must be something special in the iPhone infrastructure that makes it possible. Even with my Cricut cutting machine there is a special "snapmat" feature that is not available on android where you can use the iPhone camera to position your stuff on the cutting mat so you can use scraps instead of whole sheets of cardstock or vinyl.
Its most likely that they can't configure the software for all the diffrent cameras for the hundred of android phones there are. But its easy to do this for 3 iphones a year. Its why socal meida apps use iphone cameras better then android. I find it a pain as im an android user, but my issue is why cant you just connect this to a pc from the quest ignoring those hardware/software issues
@@terribruin9662 I get it to work on the quest 2 but when I start it, it isn't capturing Beat saber in the right direction its sideways. the fix for me was to move the camera to the position needed and it still tracks my movements but it isnt perfect.
I don't have the Max (only the XS), but sometimes the audio will be slightly out of sync (I use my video editing program to fix this when it happens). When I use the oculus app to do a split screen recording on my iPhone, the video sometimes seems a little laggy and sluggish, but with the mixed reality app I never felt the video itself was sluggish.

Make sure your headset and phone are on the same wifi router, with hopefully not too much traffic on it. Also, make sure you aren't also doing a headset recording from within the headset. That can bog things down.

You have to record on the iPhone by doing a screen record. You don't need to do a headset recording at the same time.

Make sure your Quest2 and iPhone are on the same wifi network with little or no additional traffic on it to slow it down.

Maybe there's a bottleneck with your wifi? Are you using the 5G wifi band? I have a pretty fast 5G router and fiber internet.

You just showed your ip adress to the internet people can look up that ip adress on the internet and it will tell them your adress
