£25. Absolute bargain. 😊😊😊😊😊, most locos can be brought back. A bit of tlc. Obviously been heavily played with by children. But still a bargain.

Absolutely mental that all that was only £25! Some potentially very interesting future projects there...

@@OONeal I'm sure you are! I bet if you wanted to flip that you'd get at least 4x the money you spent on it. They clearly didn't know what they were selling 👀

What a fantastic find, all those look as though they’ll run fine with a bit of tlc. Must admit I thought you were a bit ambitious setting the track up as you did, especially with the points, I would have set the train set oval up for test purposes. The Oxford Janus shunters are great locomotives, shame the handrails are all missing but for £25 with all the other stuff you can’t complain. Have fun fixing it all up, cheers Rob.

Thats a good possiblilty, I would like to make one of them a GWR loco even though that is ficticious I think it would be fun.

Wow amazing tris £25 what a bargain shame about the flying scotsman and the deltic but I'm sure with the engineer background knowledge you have you could get them sorted and give them another running life. Still watching the video be interested to see if they work on the little set up you built.

    • @OONeal

@@OONeal managed it. The Chinese built one needed unscrewing at the front, and then a little shimmy on the tabs behind the pistons. The British built didn't have the screw... I soon discovered that the purpose for the screw is actually to deal with the fact it's impossible to open these and keep the clips from breaking ;)

Some of the 0-4-0Ts are named after the prog rock band Marillion, Singer (Steve) Hogarth Stone and Guitarist (Steve) Rothery Industries. This has been quite common with Hornby, others sets of theirs include locos and wagons named after King Crimson and Porcupine Tree members. A designer at Hornby must love their prog rock!
