Hermitcraft season 9 episode 51! We are back on Hermitcraft for an expansion of Scarland with a mega landscape to build out the Adventureland area of the Scarland. We will build a massive jungle-inspired land around the volcano! Also, we go on a legendary run through Decked Out and into level 4 - the Burning Dark! First of all a better name would be adventure isles then for some cool animals it’s your choice to add them or not but dinosaurs would be sick to add this jungle themed attraction and as for your elephant you should call him Arnold

11:20 btw scar for the carrot one as you put it, grian calls it a turnip, you can put sting over it to prevent it from growing the blue flower on top of it. just like how people stopped the blue and red fines from growing further before shears could stop their growth.

15:45 my vote HAS to go towards the treehouse idea. I’m probably only apart of like 1% of the fans in saying this, but as someone who found this channel around a decade ago I would absolutely love it if this new, fantastical Scarland had some type of reference to your roots on TH-cam and the amazing “original” Scarland from back in the day.
You could even straight up bring over the Mother Tree from og Scarland into that area, or those two trees that were connected with hanging bridges and winding paths climbing the sides that created a really cool treehouse back in the day. I genuinely think that those two builds still hold up extremely nicely 10 years later, but your building as well as the block palette for minecraft have come a long way since then, so a modern “updated” version of either of those two builds would be amazing in my eyes!
Just think it would be really really cool if the new and improved Scarland paid some homage to the world it took inspiration from. There’s still a lot of us that grew up watching and loving that incredible world! Another great video as always from Scar here, no matter what he decides to use that area for, I’m excited to see it, (and the remainder of the park) come to life. Scar is truly an artist, and even if it’s just within minecraft, he has undoubtedly proven himself to be the imagineer he always dreamed of being. Could genuinely see him helping to design real world theme parks with the skills and vision he has showcased with Scarland over the last couple of years!!
I think you should name the elephant Stampy. Both in reference to The Simpsons, but mainly in honor of Stampy's Lovely World ending.

IKR I was legit on the edge of my seat, it was like watching a horror movie
5:54 concerning the minecarts: when there are too many entities on one Block, every other entity going on that same Block will get damage. This includes players and the damage ignores any armour so the minecart is a very deadly entity
and importantly, it doesn't damage minecarts, so you can have infinite (however many your computer can handle) in a single block
entity cramming is used in a ton of mob farms because of how powerful it is
its called entity craming.
I believe the limit to be 24 entities

Minecarts can stop moving at chunk borders when chunks get loaded/unloaded!
There's unfortunately not a lot you can do about it either, with such a large rail track - but you can at least confirm whether that's what happened if you press F3+G where you think the first minecart stopped moving that held up all the rest!
The only solutions i know of are to either use chunk loaders (something scar would want to get doc's help with), or to use ice/water streams while making sure to have water flow across chunk boarders to prevent items from getting stuck.
I'm not sure if he is using minecarts to distribute items across the park or just for the core of the storage system that is fully dependent on them. (My friend and i built our Minecart based multi item sorter in the spawn chunks to avoid these issues)
I'm wondering, could a powered rail slope right at the chunk border restart stopped carts? That would send any cart in the downhill direction of the slope, so it wouldn't be great for a two-way rail, but I don't think Scar's storage system sends the carts the other way along the track anyways.
i think adding a person with parrots for a little parrot petting area would fit the jungle so well

@@timmasters1195They don’t hire anyone to make maps (except for mob votes, and they hire studios because they need technical functionality), other companies do. Nvidia hired many builders (like Bdubs) to make RTX maps, so it’s surprising they didn’t hire Scar.

Scar I have used the same sorting system for over a year. The reason it is breaking is you are unloading the area before all the carts have finished cycling/returning. The light at the input chest will turn off once the sorting system has dispensed the last items for sorting but you do need to wait for 2 minutes for the carts to return back to the cart yeeter and to return back to storage. If you unload the area before all the carts return then you will have the problem you are facing with carts roaming the rail line. With the size of your system and the fact that it runs under the park you may need to wait for a few minutes longer or ask Doc to chuck load your sorting system while it is active.

That decked out run was amazing! You only needed a few more berries to heal up before level 1 returning and you'd be solid!
Volcanoes make very fertile soil around them, which is why this thick lush Adventure Land jungle is next to the volcano!
I think it’d be cool to have a cheetah hidden in the trees for the most perceptive visitors

Pearl just set up a sniffles farm in her Alien landscape. You could create your own version in scar-land as a production facility and a attraction
that storage system is the bane of scars existence. it’s always broken and now it’s attacking him
for a sign at the entrance - BDubs knows something about creating square pixels on wooden signs. You could probably make big-ish letters using them. So regular minecraft signs, but each letter is 5 lines tall drawn with the square symbols.
That could work quite nicely! 👍
And a wooden sign would look right at home on this marquee, too.

What about using maps and then you can connect them all together to make an interesting font. I think it would give you more freedom in the font and size. But also would be a pain and a lot of work
A red panda or giant panda would look great with the bamboo! Maybe even a colourful bird flying above the guests. Scarland is looking INCREDIBLE, I’m so invested in its progress!!! ❤❤
15:10 Scar, here's a suggestion: what about trying to use banners? I'm no expert on them, but I think they might provide a solution to your area sign problem.
His gateway isn't wide enough for 13 banners and a space (Adventure Land).

a beautiful bamboo pagoda or temple would be lovely there. Can't believe it's been 2 years since season 9 started. I first showed up to Hermit Craft during COVID Quarantine in Season 7 and y'all have kept me sane as I graduated college and entered the workforce. Thank you Scar and other Hermits for all the work you do. Love the Life Series as well.

I don't know why I love the idea of Scar being the one who does all the cooking and cleaning for his parents.
I love that he can at least serve them dinner in his adds. As a fellow disabled person who lives with their parents it can get incredibly frustrating and disheartening to not be able to do stuff like that for your family, helping out with household chores etc. My parents are amazing about it, and are understanding. But it can get frustrating to want to do simple everyday things, yet your body doesn’t let you. You literally feel betrayed by your body.
i imagine it's one of the reasons he's so happy to partner with them. Meals that aren't so bad, where he can contribute too, and help them in loving return and thanks for all they do for him.

Decked Out and Scarland are both absolutely amazing. This is one of the reasons why Hermitcraft is the best.

Someone really needs to design a storage system specifically for Scar that doesn't break so easily.
I think there is two problem with Scar’s storage system:
1, He built it across a lot of chunks, and some of them gets unloaded.
2, There is a bug with minecarts where they sometimes stop at the corners. Most of the time it’s not a problem but if he runs hundreds of minecart all the time it’s going to bug. For that reason the technical community uses straight rails in the corners too.
For the adventure land marquee: you could use banners to make the individual letters. I think that would just about fit proportionally.
It would be neat to see a “mystical” adventure sub area like a mini pandora on that offshoot towards docs base with like dragons, giants cyclops, mermaids or other stuff.
This season better not end any time soon, I'll be so sad if I never see Scarland finished
The "squished too much" message is entity cramming, a mechanic that is meant to prevent lag by killing things if too many entities are in the same area (I think 23 is the default limit). With enough entities it's actually one of the fastest ways to kill someone

OH. MY. WORD. That Decked Out run was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I think that Alfred could be a cute name for the elephant in Adventure Land.
You should make a tree house themed cafe/restaurant with park benches hanging from branches and benches for people to sit at, Disneyland usually has lots of food places so maybe some food carts aswell.
some pandas would be cute! you could even bring back a smaller version of the double life panda sanctuary or reference your panda drop mini game... I think they'd be cute with the bamboo as well :D gorgeous build! you work such magic with Minecraft.

Sniffers need a much bigger patch of grass/dirt/moss or whatever! They won't go to the same block twice within quite a long time, so you need to give them a big choice of blocks! :D
Scar, this video was amazing -- from being squished to amazing builds to a reindeer at dinner to that heartstopping DO2 run! It was such a great run and I loved that you are (deservedly) proud of that run. Excellence doesn't equal perfection, and that was such an excellent run. ❤❤❤

The new land looks amazing scar, I think that it would be awesome to have a large cat lurking in the treetops or some colourful birds, up in that cave I think it would be cool to make some jungle treasure above the waterfall like an idol. You could even make a carving of jelly in the volcano. I love your base scar really well done!

One: you should have your Redstone handyman fix your storage and two: sniffers need dirt, grass ,mud or moss (I believe... could be wrong on some of those) to get seeds

Best series ever Scar, even though you don't have a tall hat, you're passion blazes through like the sun and the builds are more amazing than ever. Every Scar episode I learn more about building and landscaping but ScarLand is another level. Bless you Scar for the happiness you bring us.

Build the jungle temple. and the treehouse in the custom trees above the walkway, you can creat a network od treehouses with some of them being buildings for a park

I'm so impressed by that elephant! Looks so real, i wanna hug it, great job! Also, if you are taking suggestions, I would love to see giraffes. It seems fitting for the theme and it's just a really cool animal. Scarland never fails to amaze me!
the inside of your trashcans should be hoppers so you can encourage people throw away things in your park and then send them to your very functional sorting system... or just dump them via water stream into the perimeter....
You should definitely build a jungle temple at that first empty spot. It should be the entrance too one of the ridesy Indiana Jones style. A treehouse could fit somewhere else, and would be a cool fit for a shop/restaurant (like the tree room)

A comment which got my attention was having the elephant make noise when people come near it. Though I think to add to it, you should have like a jungle theme track with crickets, and other animals sounds to give it more of the adventure vibe! It was something I always enjoyed listening to when visiting the zoo. Keep up the work Scar!
Maybe build little platforms and bridges between the trees to give another level of experience. You could also have "secret" tunnels for little kids to explore.
He could even use the rickety bridge from level 2 sound from tango!

For animal's in park. Keralis made a zoo last season or the one before, he made gorgeous peacocks! You could recruit him to build one or two of them in the jungle park, and maybe a few other animals.
Scar that decked out run was INCREDIBLE you did SO GOOD I don’t even care that you didn’t get out because it was truly legendary. Finding your way out of the burning dark without having ever been there and only been on level 3 three times? Amazing, truly amazing.

I saw that you have a path that turns toward where the Goat Vs Buttercup battle was held, and was thinking that it would be cool to recreate the buttercup cookies shop down there with a monument resurrected in the name of the great battle. It would be a nice nod toward past events and tie the place together with some in-world history/lore.
Dear Scar - I have to tell you you are one of the most elaborate and impressing builder in all of hermitcraft. Your projects are absolutely stunning, your trees are amazing and your megabuild-ideas are... are... I'm out of words for how gorgeous they are!

I GASPED as you were doing the initial tour of the pathway and the elephant appeared! The way you built the trees and foliage to give little snapshots at just the right angle while hiding things from view elsewhere are Fantastic and that use of forced perspective might be the biggest thing that makes your base feel like a real, well-made, theme park! The picturesque glimpses of the volcano between the trees are masterfully done. It all looks AMAZING!!! (And for name ideas, how about Albert the Elephant? He just looks like he might be an Albert lol)
I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Adventure Land, my goodness! The timelapse just shows how amazing of a terraformer you are. The talent you have is OUTSTANDING
You should put a hippo in the little pond to give it some life and maybe you could add a baby going off the water fall

Still thinking about the adorable little elephant wandering through Scar's jungle. A book recommendation for you all is "Circles in a Forest" by Dalene Matthee. It was written in Afrikaans, but I trust the translation will be just as beuatiful as the original

You could have signs, to say Adventure Awaits, Danger, Quicksand, or something similar, to add to the thrill of the area. Maybe a skull here and there.
You should name the elephant Alfonzo.
