- Hermitcraft season 9 episode 52! We are back on Hermitcraft for an expansion of Scarland with a mega build to complete the Scarland volcano in Adventureland! The massive Minecraft volcano will erupt with over 50,000 glass blocks! Also, we work on more landscaping around the land! It’s funny how he already died 3 times in this episode alone on Hermitcraft with regeneration and lots of gear but he hasn’t died once if Secret Life with no regeneration and was chased by a wither.
I thought the same, until I realized that recording time for a Life session is maybe 3, 4 hours? And they're on episode 6, so minimum 18 hours... Recording time for just one timelapse is at least a few hours, sometimes substantially more; so a couple of timelapsed builds plus resource grinding plus whatever else is in an episode... I think the deaths:time ratio might much more proportional than at first glance... 😵💫

He's a lot more careful in the life series. I think on Hermitcraft he dies on purpose just to annoy us.
Fax, Life Series Scar is just build different than Hermitcraft Scar.
He's definitely gotten better at not dying as the Life Series has gone on. He's definitely way more careless on Hermitcraft but has learned not to ignore things like being at 2 hearts in the Life Series. Also not having Elytra helps a lot lol

This season has given me a lot of respect for Scar and Tango, as they're the two hermits have stuck to one project and have worked on it almost non stop for longer than a year, with a huge smile on their face and building inhuman stuff

For the adventure land sign, if you don’t want it to be distracting, you can change your skin to a skin with a gray head with a letter on it, and then you kill kill your self and spell adventure land on the arch.
That's actually brilliant; not as ridiculously overexhausting as map arts and not as unauthentic as texture pack paintings I love it!!

Took me far too long to figure what you were describing.
To improve the latter spacing and have them stick out from the stone a bit less, one could even use invisible armor stands.

Been watching for years, everytime he builds something like this I think "This is it, he has hit his peak, this cannot be topped." Then he does it again! Scar has no limit, may aswell start calling him Goku. Nothing but love for the entertainment over the years. One of the few genuine guys left on social media these days. Keep it up. For the adventure land sign you could ask cleo to do some armor stand magic, im sure she can come up with something

Not only can he almost survive a Decked Out run on level 4, but he is one of the greatest, inspirational artists in Minecraft. Plus, a light in the dark for those in hard times. We don't deserve you Scar!

It’s the little touches like building supports beneath a dragonfly to make it look like a theme park attraction that show just how incredible Scar is as a builder.
And as an artist
Lighting tip: composters are transparent, so you can put hidden lighting under all those trashcans
It kinda takes away the immersion though, on a real park there wouldn't be lights coming from nowhere

The volcano went from absolutely epic in the daylight to beyond words at night. It blows my mind how many little details that you can pack into a build and it could take someone days or months to even begin to catch them all.
Alone for the sake of Scarland I wish this season never ends. Its so incredible and it just keeps in getting bigger and bigger

Scar, you are a true artist. That volcanic eruption is glorious...I can't get my head around how you pictured that and then built it in survival...you're amazing. You knock your other artistic abilities, but you're also a great painter and photographer (I have your racoon photo as my monitor background). All of your art makes me happy, because I know you put so much of yourself into it. I hope in the future you're able to do more of both.💜

Scar! I think you should have a pathway leading to the perimeter, and kind of incorporating it into the park as an attraction. You could have those telescopes that people pay a quarter to use and stuff. And it would make the giant goat flag feel more integrated instead of sticking out :D

I love seeing Scarget to buuld their dream build. As soon as he mentioned the volcano, and certainly as soon as I saw the thumbnails, it made me think of what I think was season 6, pirate Scar, his giant volcano and cloud of smoke which was already huuuuuge and he gets to do it again! In the context of a huge theme park!!! So amazing.

I like how Scar has the garbage cans everywhere like it’s theme park tycoon (where the guests will litter if there isn’t a trash can within 5 blocks of them)
That 5 tile requirement is not realistic.
In real life it is a 2 tile requirement.

When Disney built their first park they did research on how far people are willing to walk before they start littering. The disgusting answer is 10ft since the spacing was determined to be every 20ft.
I'm sure Scar is aware of this fact and it's part of why he puts so many garbage cans in his park. (It would be cool if they were functional inventories that automatically emptied into his storage system, but decor/aesthetics come first)

@@noatmealcookie02 i would agree with that. But i think basic ice/water streams would be a reasonable solution to bring the items back to his storage system if the trach cans were ever made functional.
Whenever I see a new Scar video it always cheers me up. Just seeing Scar’s joy and passion for what he makes always brings a smile to my face- today especially, as I have a rough day that was significantly brightened with seeing Scarland once more.
I really hope this season has a world download, I would love to admire all the builds and genius creations.

Great build Scar! I kinda wish there was a Tiki Bar on the bamboo theme area where they sell either drinks or it could be a small gift shop, it would make a great little addition
A Tiki bar is perfect that would fit in great!
A scattering of campfires directly under the top blocks in the dead zone would allow part of the smoke to get out and make it look like the area is still smoldering.

Ok, I have a vision of the Adventureland sign materializing from the ground on either side of the arch or from the bricked entrance in front like the claymation effects in 1985’s “The Adventures of Mark Twain”, looking like pebbles assembling into a brilliant sign from the earth itself. It’d match the earthy volcanic theme and give Impulse a wicked challenge for the red stone involved. I’m seeing Tango-esque smoke effects and the whole thing would be triggered by approaching visitors and would appear as a living entity of earth and fire.

I was going to leave a comment about how that the goat horn was too powerful in Scar's hands so the game took it from him, but a determined and amused Scar is much more dangerous than I calculated.
Always so amazed to see the things Scar creates, I feel like every time I'm even more motivated to jump back into my own minecraft worlds and start creating again! Thank you as always for the good times!! (My cats love when Jellie meows in the background of your videos :D )

I just spent the past couple of hours going back to Scar's old videos from 12 years ago, to when he started hermitcraft. It's amazing that we can see how much you've grown over the years. Your videos always bring a smile and brighten up my day!
Scar, you should memorialize that horse with a skeleton horse in the dead zone. Also, a giant scary dragon skull for the 'lave tube' opening could be very awesome. Keep up the amazing work!
Scar could you get Cleo to build a pack or wolves and a sloth bear? Maybe even a man cub? It would be such a fun reference. Also love how scarland is coming along, this is probably if not definitely my favorite hermitcraft base ever.

Idea for the entrance to adventure land: Maybe Cleo can use armor stand magic to make words out of blocks. Since the blocks are small in the armor stands she could overlap them to shape out the letters of the words and they can look like they're protruding from the rock face.
I really hope scar builds some hot springs somewhere near the volcano in adventure land. I think i would be a really cool addition
I think the shulker monster snake that you made Pearl would look amazing in the background somewhere in the jungle.
It’s such an amazing build that’s hidden away.
To Label Adventure Land .... Maybe do it on the Bricks on the path... so you see it at your feet when walking... so it doesn't take away from the visuals of the arch and above, but you can read it as you walk ... Like the turning lane arrow on roads to let you know the lane turns... but says Adventure Land in the bricks.
I only mention it because it's a big single texture brick area there... if you plan on putting carts and stuff though, never mind xD
I went to Disneyland a couple weeks ago and seeing what you Scar have been able to build in Minecraft compared to real life is just mind blowing.🤯

The volcano is STUNNING! As someone who dabbles in art and sculpting i have huge respect for you. Building in minecraft is a whole different media and to do it in survival is on a different level 🤩
If there can be giant bugs, please make a Velvet Worm. They're such cool and cute critters. Maybe it could be coiling on a tree and shoot slime balls or something like that if you get close.
With the burnt bamboo I think it would be worth adding oak between the bamboo and spruce fences. This build is so awesome and I could never see myself as building something this amazing. You always build with such passion and that's why we all LOVE your content 😊

Scar, this is absolutely stunning! I thought the Volcanos in Season 6 were incredible (and they still are) but this is such an improvement!
The sightlines as you walk through adventure land to see the volcano are impeccable. I have so much respect for how much planning and design Scar puts into all his builds. Can't wait to get to walk through here but also never want this season to end.

two months later, after having the world download for myself, I think the volcano is perhaps the most impressive structure in scarland. it's so so cool. I'm glad you decided to build it.
Scar should build the SpaceX starship in his sci fi area as it would fit in really well, I also know he’s a fan!! He could also add ScarX easter eggs from Season 7 and maybe something from Area 77 too!

I was absolutely blown away with the volcano and tree builds back in season six but this has blown it out of the park!!! Scar is so incredibly talented its jaw dropping!

Scarland is legit one of the coolest builds I've ever seen in survival minecraft! This season's world has so many amazing builds it's crazy!
To show entering Adventureland, you can use oak fences like a rope between the two trees in front of the arch and put banners on there so you keep the arch natural looking
