I’ve made this hat three times now in the span of 2 weeks! Twice for me and once for my mom and I *cannot* get enough of it. I’ve used Lily sugar and cream for all three hats and they’ve come out great!! Like a mix between a beanie and a sun hat and it’s perfect. ❤️

I used a bulky 6 weight yarn, and it came out great. I think I will make another one, but I think I might have the brim of the hat a different color. Thanks, Crystal, for the really cute pattern.

Boy, I am not a hat person, but after having this tutorial going while I am working on a winter beanie for myself I don't think I can resist giving it a go. It's so cute and so easy and I have some plain pink and white Red Heart Super Saver for practice I no longer need so I think it will be a fun "practice for real" project. Thanks! Wow….this hat came out great! I used a bulky 5 tweed acrylic with 6 mm hook. Slightly large on top but looks great! I’m going to make another with doubling the 4 weight cotton! Thank you, Crystal!
I use 5 weight yarn single strand 6mm hook, followed the pattern until the last few rows. I increased rounds 4 times instead of 3, and use mini bean stitch to finish the edge. It turned out perfect. Edge is firm, not rolling 😊

I love this tutorial! It is such a pretty hat and I love the yarn you used. I don't usually wear a hat but because of some medicines I take I can't be out in the sun for too long and this hat would be perfect in keeping the sun out of my eyes and face. I just finished my hat. I made mine with Mainstays cotton in Blue Shell. I used a size 5 hook(22 inch head) 5.5 was working up too big for me . I really love how it turned out! Thank you Crystal you are a great teacher! ❤

I love this pattern. ❤ With slight adjustments I can make doilies, market bags and baskets as well as bucket hats. I used peaches and cream cotton yarn with a 6mm hook. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to send you a picture, but trust me my hat looks great.

Can't wait to make this for my neighbour. She had operatio on head and she has pain. Loose fitting had is ideal to keep sun off and with brim to shade her eyes as she can't wear glasses for some reason. Thank you.

I'm very new to crocheting - only made 2 1/2 blankets so far, but I followed this tutorial and made 2 of these hats today. The first one turned out a bit small because the yarn was a 3 weight doubled up instead of 4, but it looked good. So I made another with 2 balls of 4 weight and it turned out perfect.

Loved making this hat! Thank you so much for a great pattern Crystal. As I did not have enough cotton, I used a chunky acrylic yarn (Elle - a South African yarn) in Ecru, held together with gold stelina thread for a bit of sparkle. 🤗💕
