Back when Metal and Rock artists (as fresh and bonkers as Primus) were given respect and actually interviewed on talk shows... I really, really miss that time.
Primus is to other "metal" bands as Primus fans are to the jock meatheads who called us "Freaks". Larry is cool and secure enough to admit to digging the Dead when any poser "metalheads" who would look down on that are actually the insecure phonies who should be embarrassed.
Larry was in the band possessed. So cool to me that he was apart of what may have been the first “death metal” album (argument over that album and deaths scream bloody gore)
First time I saw Primus was at Wood Stock 94' , I was almost front row because Bob Weir played before him and really that was the only reason I even went. Now what 30 years later, I cant remember one song Bob Weir played, but remember the entire Primus set. They definitely regretted playing My Name is Mud haha
I watched this live and it was the first time any fan was hearing Jerry was a race car driver. I couldn't believe the bass, my friends and brothers and I were blown away. It sounded so crazy, I recorded it on vhs and kept watching it, to hear the bass
It's always hilarious watching metal heads try to do interviews. They are always so out of their wheelhouse, and struggling to figure out wtf they're supposed to do.

“How would you explain the Primus sound?”
“It’s Les’ fault”
Hilarious
Psychedelic polka. Perfect.
The dudes are Frizzle FRIED in this interview lmfao

Headbanger's Ball is a Metal show...
@@FBG07 Yes.
They said this is their downfall and it’s produced some of the most iconic rock songs of the 90s 😂😂😂
Back in 1999 I was sitting on my grandmas back porch and Jerry was a race car driver came on the radio, I was instantly hooked!
I love it when Tim says
Whenever I see young Les, in my head I’m like “mud”
RIcky really represents how to be a cool and fun interviewer, and how not to be a jerk.

Not sure the extent of their influence, but I do remember the band Tesla used to do a Dead cover, lol. I'll give em props for that.
Thank you for uploading this😍
Digging on Primus lately, I got a feeling they'll make a big comeback very soon... excellent band and music

Great Album! Great Band! Glorious Time!🤘🏻🔥✨

I love the Dead and I love Primus. On a side note, i think the yodel king Franzl Lang is badass too.
I loved Headbangers Ball. Ricky is the best MTV VJ ever.
Les reminds me of Mike Patton here they got the same odd chill vibe
So awkward.
awkward is their muse

I always forget how low energy the band is in person haha
I wonder why there was so much hate in the 90s rock scene for the grateful dead
Bands like this don’t exist anymore. The 90s were the peak
interviews suck for les, nobody knows how to speak to him
Nah he's just stoned
@@antondavidovic3996 Exactly. No one knows how to talk to him.
@@antondavidovic3996 idk why that didn’t occur to me but that explains a lot
Ler: It's our downfall. 😂
That host is pretty chill
yea ricky was always a cool dude!
Riki's hair 🤣 I can't take him seriously..
Never knew this happened!
Should of added the clip of 'Jerry was a race car driver', guess I'll look it up
“It’s all downhill from here” lmfao
Les looks he thinks he's talking to a human potato.😂
Did I hear debut from Aldo Nova? LOL 🤣
thought he said Alva Noto for a moment lols
Primus was my first concert in 96
Still on my daily playlist
Will be until i die
Because
PRIMUS SUCKS
Primus sucks
John Stamos!?
Pork and cheese two best albums
Curry was a better host.
quirky
What a horrible host!
Never liked Ricky, such a cheese ball.
Primus sucks!
This dude is horrible at interviewing people.
Motorhead is not a metal band, much less the "ultimate metal band"
I love them❤
