Great video for starting up a franchise. I found your take on the X-Factors and SS abilities interesting. Ever since EA introduced them back in M20, I always turned them off. This may be the first year I try to have them on. I’ll go through and look at the ones that are too arcadey or have an “absolute” as you said. With strictly playing CPU v CPU in my franchises, I’ll have to see how they play out with that way of playing. I’ve been running a test franchise since your M25 sliders dropped this past weekend and I’ve been using the XP sliders from M24, so I’ll be interested in seeing what you cook up for M25….

Have you ever tried accelerated clock minimum at 12 to 10 seconds? I used this in Madden 24 and noticed that it actually helped bring the CPU completion percentage down. Where most QBs were completing about 65% instead of 75% what I noticed was it stopped the CPU from always checking to the correct play to beat whatever defense you picked. They would even get a delay of game every once in a while.
Just wanted to say this, Ea got so lazy they didn’t turn on any player traits in their edit player screen. Players like Myles Garrett don’t have power/fineese moves enabled. So therefore when playing franchise mode these players will not use these moves if they’re cpu controlled. Human controlled is irrelevant but EA didn’t incorporate this at all on players. In the main menu it’s on but once you go into franchise every WR/DE/RB don’t have crucial traits set to yes.
@@camerontrotter3296Yeah this is 100% true. If you go to any pass rusher in the game you will see that high motor, speed moves and power moves are set to off. Boss, Watt, Garrett. All of them

My disagreements with your take on the superstar abilities is that they’re absolutes yes 100% but they aren’t permanent. It’s the equivalent of when a player IRL is “in the zone” you’ve seen those moments in real life where for a offensive series or for a quarter the QB throws a few good passes and all of a sudden he’s not missing any throws. Thats what I’d equate to the zone abilities in madden. Yes it’s absolutes but perfect accuracy doesnt mean anything if I throw it to a receiver that’s covered. Gambit is the only one that I think is unrealistic because it affects the defenders play and not the QB. Not trying to sound like I’m hating I loved the video but wanted to give my thoughts on that
there are way too many that are guaranteed...can't fumble. etc...so many are perfect accuracy guaranteed or guaranteed first break first tackles etc....no. you can be in the zone but it should just be boosts. similar to 2k. this way is poorly implemented for a franchise sim. its fine for arcade, but not sim

Being immune to pressure like he's prime Peyton Manning isn't realistic 😂 That's what TUP is for. I've turned off abilities in the past too. Defenders shedding blocks instantly on outside runs, or DTs insta shedding inside runs - all that was ridiculous. Just give them 95+ block shedding and let the ratings do what they're supposed to do. EA just kept overdoing it. Also, I hate sim style lol Too many scripted events. TDs given up by a CB who was jogging or who has 95 speed but gets outran by a TE. I've switched to comp just to counter all the nonsense.
I have a question, can I just edit the superstar abilities on the edit roster and then import that roster in franchise? Or can you only do this while inside franchise mode?
Will changing the playbooks of all the teams even out the sim stats a little bit? Like giving everyone the same playbook so the sim stats are more predicated on player rating. Has anybody tried this ?
Tbh I’m not sure. One where the sim stats won’t have a 74overall qb throw for 4700 46 tds with 2 picks. You have any you suggest? I haven’t bought the game yet. Not sure if I wanna support ea anymore.

i haven't simply because we, as users, need to ID the Mike and line shift every play....don't have enough time to do that in that scenario

Something eles, after trying it out i am noticing that running for user is quite easy, between 180 and 200 yards each Game, any advice?

MY ADVICE, WAIT FOR THE BIG PATCH. I HAVE BOTH BUT REALLY CAN'T PLAY MADDEN BECAUSE THE CPU PASSES EVERY DAMN PLAY

Nope. You can't edit abilities in the edit roster screen in the main menu for whatever reason. At least I couldn't figure out how
