    Let's say I wanted to put some sound deading behind that cover would I risk the window falling ir is there a way to take it off without the window from falling ??

    I replaced mine yesterday, and all went well. This was a great video and a big help, thank you. However, the window still has a very small gap at the top when I put it all the way up. I only know this because of the wind noise that comes in that was not there before… definitely a gap. Did I do something wrong, or is there an adjustment that should be done?

    • @PowerUpAuto
      @PowerUpAuto  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      if there is a small gap easiest fix would be just life the glass in the clips a bit and retighten. Should solve the problem.

      I see all. There is a center post in the rivet. Use a punch to bang out that center past (the mandrel). Then a 1/4" drill bit to carefully drill off the rivets. You can mount the speaker back to the new regulator panel with self tapping screws.

      It just spins about 1/4 turn clockwise to come off. So, to reattach it to the inner panel with the window track, just line up the circle on the back side of the panel with the corresponding hole on the white plate and turn it 1/4 turn counter clockwise to lock it in place.

      @codycevering2733 ปีที่แล้ว

      @seasonsla I removed the handle when doing the repair on my mother in laws car, which seemed to be necessary at the time.
      To remove the handle, you pop out a plastic cover on the end of the door (by the latch) and unscrew the bolt holding the key cylinder in place. Remove the lock by sliding it straight out. Then, pull the handle towards where the lock cylinder was, and it comes right out.
      I hope this helps. It's been a while since I did this repair.
