Imagine being the writer: everyone around you gets cloned, and your boss just gives you piles upon piles of blank scripts for 12+ movies with the exact same name. Actually Illiterate is the most important person in this whole operation: $984 salary, 24 years of backbreaking constant scriptwriting for hundreds of cheap cashgrabs.
“Hey, this is Disney, we’ve got another Star Wars and we think you’d be great for it”
If the writer is also the producer and main actor, than it's just Steven Seagal...
Ms. Illiterate doesn't even know what a writers strike is. She just buckled down and showed Hollywood whose boss
She should’ve been called Grace for all her troubles, lol
She started at 20, so actually it was 74 years of scriptwriting. Yay!
As someone who used to work at an office with exactly 4 toilets for 120 people, I can appreciate a hallway of toilets more than most.
Same😂
George?
@@wildebeest75 how do you know that? 🤨🤔
Wtf? Once you hit a workforce of ~75 people, the bare minimum number of toilets required by federal regulation in many countries is 5. After 100 employees, there should be at least one toilet added for every 30 employees, so you should have had AT LEAST five and more would be recommended (as you were getting close to 6 being the bare minimum).
Can't believe no one at your job lodged a complaint.
@@bluesonicstreak7317 I was wondering the same thing. I found out about that law due to having to look it up in the other direction; the a place I used to work at had to remodel the men's bathroom.
Did you know in the US if a building does not have a restroom open to the public and has less than 16 employees at the same time they only need 1 gender-neutral bathroom? Once one of those no longer applies you need to have segregated bathrooms.
This regulation is why all those tiny gas stations and similar don't have customer bathrooms - if they only have 1 working bathroom they can't open it to the public.

True
Hmm, I think Josh IS Disney, but better
Josh actually recreated the formula for any current movie franchise: Ignore the reviews and focus on marketing and ticket sales. Gotta add shareholder value!
That's what I was thinking when he said "oh I see how this game works" lol. Like no Josh, you see how the movie industry works currently lmao. IRL representation lol
Spider man, Inside out 2, those are good modern movies
And then people just stopped going to movies that no one wanted to see.
Yeah I realized mid way through he just figured out the strategy of modern day studios
I just love how Geriatrics Huggin and Kissin's only buildup is the climax stunt, which is quite literally somebody jumpin and fallin over and over again. It has nothing to do with its title, it doesn't have music, it doesn't have any character development at all, and it still got some points. My life is now complete.
What are you talking about? That was the best comedy I've ever seen in my life. Stop hating on Geriatrics huggin and kissin! It's my childhood!

Nope.
Nah

The fact that he was able to be so successful by cloning people and working them to death is insane. Josh should come back to this game in the future.
The year is 2033. The news has played the 473rd consecutive "Geriatric 27: Oh Thank Heaven" trailer instead of the ongoing nuclear war over advertising rights. You try to go to sleep, but the incessant knocking of the door to door movie promoters keeps you awake until 2:00 am, when the repurposed air raid sirens blast out the same teaser soundbites that you've heard thousands of times by now, just like they do every hour. You shove your head into your pillow and finally manage to rest. The instant your eyes close, you receive crystal clear dreams of a 90-year-old man pretending to be stabbed in a fire. You decide to preorder 19 tickets for release day and dozens more for the following week. There is no escape.
The concept of super intrusive ads that can only be stopped by buying the product sounds so realistic the comment kinda stops being funny. We're lucky the tech is not there yet.
1984 levels of advertising right there.
@@lurgee1706 if the ads now dont stop when youve very obviously purchased something, whats to say that super intrusisve ads wouldnt stop in the future?
Bro your comment gave such a laughing fit I'm actually in tears
This had me rolling, I think the door to door movie promoters was my favorite part
Honestly, I'd probably be down to watch a movie from a studio with the self awareness to name themselves "UNWATCHABLE GARBAGE"
Checkout the studio the Asylum. They're called that because only crazy and stupid people watch their movies since they are all low budget rip offs of whatever movie is coming out at the time.
@@JTPCrusade So it might be better. Hope they remake Borderlands.
There was a jank / cheese horror studio called Full Moon Entertainment, and my friends and I used to watch their movies on weekends. They were terrible B movies and absolutely self aware. We laughed so hard. It was exactly the right fit for our collective sense of absurdity. (They're probably best known for Puppet Master, but they did more than 200 other movies you've never heard of. To my old group of friends, I think Dollman was pretty much peak FME.)
24:10 "Okay I think I now understand how this game works" No I think you now understand how the actual film industry works
Yep. It's all maximum hype with the minimum amount of effort possible. Who cares what the movie is about, what the name is or anything else really.
@@Conta_Minated effort - no, but they still spend fifty gorillion dollars on CGI every time
That says a lot of society really, people living in a consumerism society, where there's nothing to do except consuming junks and unwatchable garbage. Until the point that despite so many better movies exists out there, our attention span is so short we're left to consume over-hyped junk in fear of FOMO cause other people are doing the same. Then the unwatchable junk buys out every other good industry to produce the same junk that we consume on a day to day basis. Ironically, despite good movies exist, human prefers to consume junks simply because it takes shorter amount of time for gratification to kick in, like draugs. If the gratification is lost, we just move on to the next movie like how we consume tiktok vids.

Someone call The Asylum. One of their inmates just posted their entire business model and called it a video game.
Most people here are comparing this to Disney. Glad to find another man of culture!
@chazchoo99 Well, 'culture' might be a bit overly generous. I'm not gonna pretend that The Asylum makes _good_ movies.
Today I learned that Josh has a massive amount of RAM for his computer, which is probably an evolutionary adaptation.
he is dedicated to torturing the game as hard as he can. It can't take the easy way out anymore.
Nice
Hahaha he must have fried so many
Fr😂
And clearly its still not enough for the shenanigans he does
Think of how many human rights violations Josh committed in one video.
First, he made Latelife McCrisis reshoot the same scene over and over for nearly 3 straight years with no breaks. 22:32-22:39
He cloned the same people several times over without their consent for cheap labor.
Not only did Josh pay them nearly nothing, but he also made them work 24/7 with no food or rest, ever.
Wouldn't it also be considered elder abuse to make 92 year olds work 24/7.
Unwatchable Garbage is not a movie studio, it's a torture camp for unskilled workers.💀
So basically Hollywood, haha

We know lmao that the best part about this
@@TheMASTER4realit honestly hurts lol
The funny part is; even garbage movies can still be profitable over there. I'm a DIT in Switzerland, none of our movies are ever profitable. (Maybe a handful that break even) 😂
@@MarcoGruber The USA has about 331 million people and big studios with massive marketing budgets. That’s why movies and other entertainment make a ton of money there - it’s mainly about having a huge audience and strong promotion.
Switzerland, on the other hand, has only around 8 million people, so it's tougher to make big bucks. If you want to go international, you have to spend a lot on marketing, and it’s even more expensive if people aren’t familiar with the studio, actors, or culture. People usually stick with what they know. American culture is like a franchise that has spread worldwide, and they’ve been investing in propagating it for a long time. This makes it easier for US films to succeed globally.

You literally became Disney.

Hey Josh! I used to watch you years ago and today I was thinking about old channels I used to watch and I remembered this channel :-)
Glad you’ve gotten way bigger and got what you deserve!
I’ve always loved your humor and video style, keep it up!
Josh's mantra is basically, "If there's a will, there's a maze" and I think that's just beautiful
I just went through his old videos and all his: “Hey there it’s Josh welcome back to let’s game it out” get progressively happier and more energetic every new video
This video is sheer comedic perfection, between Josh's humor and the game reacting to him, I couldn't stop laughing
I am very confused. Josh usually plays games in a wacky over the top manner, but for some reason, he played this one as realistically as possible?
Because that's the only way to make profits. 😂
What video were you watching? There was nothing out of the ordinary.
@@Darvid08 What comment were you reading? That's exactly what he said?
@@Xeridanus That video is not out of the ordinary from his other videos. He was definitely not playing that seriously. Who calls that realistic?
@@Darvid08 It's realistic because that's how the actual movie industry works, in OP's opinion.
21:07 plot for alien geriatrics crying over books: alien dances in front of the camera and aliens fight the hospital and someone was doing cpr and sees flames and earthquake. The end.
It is quite impressive how much he sabotages himself in these videos and yet still somehow manages to succeed at the end, prehaps chaos is the key to success.
he just proves how poorly the game is programed because no one expects him to make like 100 movies at once and have tons of marketing to over hype it. I would love to see him play some of the best designed games and see how he can break them as well. Although his Sims videos were fun.
I just love his genuine laughter at 21:06 😂

The Snow White production ten months ahead of it's time.
That's the inherent flaw with games like this and game dev tycoon. What you do doesn't really impact your score, it's all too arbitrary.
You can make a blockbuster by filming a corner for an hour if you tick the right boxes, or you could spend days finely crafting a scene only for the game to tell you it is garbage.
Isn't that the same with movies now? As long as you tick boxes, people will pay to watch garbage.
Perfect simulation of the real industry.
Kind of like real life 😅
Hopefully there's a DLC for this where you can take a beloved ghost franchise and destroy it with an all-female version, fake reviews, and terrible jokes.
Yes, I had the same thought. It looks like a really detailed and well made game, and I really like the idea of these kind of business games, but what boxes I click and what sliders I move in what direction just doesn't have an impact because the simulation is not deep enough. The degree to which this game's absolute jank accurately depicts the IRL movie industry is both shocking and depressing
He did it. He cracked the modern film industry. This is exactly how it works.
He recreated Disney by spamming shows and buy other studios
This really went from Claustrophobic studios to owning the earth's moviemaking business
I like that the first 24 minutes of this video is basically just figuring out the Blumhouse method. Dirt cheap actors on dirt cheap sets pumping out films as fast and cheap as possible, making profit because it's hard not to when something is so cheap to make.
Love this invulnerable staff that you simply can't destroy. No food, no sleep, unsatisfied, not going home, not growing older - yet still standing and kicking. My sims should learn some tricks.
