Rowena's showing up makes me think of the certain segment of fans who seem to dislike and want to criticize the majority of female characters. They did the same thing to Ruth Connell that they did to Lauren Cohan as Bela - complaining about how "fake her accent is" when it's her legit natural accent. *sigh* :P
we are coming up on s10e14, right after that episode could you react to the first parody of supernatural on the hillywood show. and to avoid spoilers for the second parody, you cant watch until youre in season 13.
I really like this episode. Well, parts of it. Personally, I was never interested in Claire, and I think her part slows the story down here. Too many stories happening at the same time. Could have stuck with the boys, and Crowley and Rowena. Speaking of Rowena, and Ruth’s accent: story she tells at the conventions is that she toned down her native Scottish accent for the audition, because it’s quite thick and most casting people want it toned down. When she was done with the audition, they asked if she could be MORE Scottish. 😂
What's sad is that Dean was in better company with Crowley than with Sam or Cas both last and this season. It's really out of character for TeamFreeWill but I do adore the Crowley/Dean bromance!
I do agree this episode was quite bloated, and I think the should have been moved or changed. I think they could have cut it down to "Claire is taken back to the Bunker with them. Cas struggles to deal with Claire (who has just been even more traumatized and has good reason for wanting to get the hell away), while Dean has proven to be very far gone and in need of urgent help. They get Metatron to save Dean. While Cas tries to convince Claire that she is safer with them, shit goes down with Metatron at the Bunker, Cas has to rush to help stop Dean, Claire is let unattended and free to escape." No need to introduce these weirdo campers strangely up for murder, just to do nothing with them.
Do you have an information-packed episode with some odd dialogue and multiple storylines that don’t quite match up? It’s gotta be a buck-lemming episode! Admittedly this is one of their better ones, but their episodes usually have a very specific flavor that always feels a little bit off to me.
