  • A simulation of salt (NaCl) dissolving in water at room conditions.
    The simulation was performed over 1 nanosecond of real time at a time step of 1 femtosecond. The playback is a recording of the simulation taken every 100 femtoseconds.
    The salt and water were separately equilibrated and then the salt place within the water. The water is a flexible water model en.wikipedia.o....

    A good reference for actual science on this kind of simulation is this paper [1] but it is not open access I am sorry to say - Chemists do not seem to like OA in particular...
