@@MustangGuy2000 I would go 3.73 if you do any highway driving. The revs get pretty high as it is with those. I went with 3.55 in my new gt but it has 200 more hp over the v6 and a 6 speed.
Your going to run your engine a decent percentage faster meaning your burning more oil and gas as well as a lot more stress. In my 14 v6 i was at 19 city now its more like 13mpg city and now about 25 highway on 3.73 so hope it helps
Honestly changed gears just gets you up to speed quicker if your doing normal street drags your best bet is re-gearing because its cheap and easy but if your doing highway racing i would not re-gear i would just use a supercharger for a higher top end re-gearing will stunt your top speed a bit and more power cant help that so it depends on how your driving the car and how much work your willing to do
Huge jump in performance from the stock gears in my v6.
8.8 inch gt rear end swap with 3.73 gears
Should I get 4.10 gears or 3.73?

I love the 3.73 gears in my 98' GT Anyone who is considering getting them, DON'T FEAR THE GEAR.
lol, you can't say that unless you have 4.56's or higher.
JohnGT didn't fell much of a difference in mine same year btw
what did you put them in
Putting this in my 89 Mustang LX 5.0 and I can’t wait to see the difference
those 2 TV cables are such a distraction.
How?
I have a 88 gt and thinking about 3:73 gears with sub frame connectors to put that extra ooomf to the tires and not body twist
i debated over 3.55 or 3.73 in my Mustang, i went with 3.55, I like the overall performance and lower rpm at 70mph
What rpm are you at going 70mph?

STOP! you had me at hello.
Wonder why my 160HP OHV explorer was equipped with stock 4.10 gears. They are good off the line but rev high over 60Mph.
Can you put or change your gears without swapping the differential or when your swapping you must change everything
So the 3.73 geers aren’t just an option you actually have to have it on your car?
I needed this explanation! Thanks AM.
3.55 or 3.73 in the 2013 GT? I do an even amount of city/highway driving. Automatic (I know). What's the mpg like at 70-80 mph in both gears? Thanks
3.73

@@jaycamacho8179 is it better on the highway?
I have 3;73 in my 97 GT boost in acceleration
suddenly i love to read american muscle
what rear end does the 3.7 have? I have a 2013 3.7 with the MT82. Is it the 8.8 rear end like the GT has? or is it the 7.5?
8.8
Currently not available for V6's anymore :/
What is the original factory number for the 2005 model?v8
Damm she is good. Love it.
Do you recommend 3.73 gears for a procharged cyclone?
I think thats too much if you already have the power in my opinion
