LAKE OESCHINEN (OESCHINENSEE) - Kandersteg Switzerland (October 2023) (4K)

Today was spent catching the train to Spiez, then on to another connecting train to Kandersteg.
Once at Kandersteg it was a 10-15 minute walk to the Cable Car (Gondola) Station through the village.
A quick ride to the top, the views were amazing.
There are several hiking trails to the lake, some going well above, others, like the one I took went straight to the lake.
Again, this is another one of those places that photos and videos do not do it justice.
After an hour or so walking around the lake and relaxing, it was time to head back.
Perfect timing as well as the shuttle service was just about to leave, $10 and a 20-30 minute uphill walk was taken care of in 5 minutes...
Back onto the trains, and with a 15 minutes wait at Spiez before the train to Interlaken Ost, it was time to grab a fresh bread roll and sweet pastry.
Before heading back to the hotel I checked out were the Lake Brienz ferries left from as that is on the to do list for tomorrow.
