Dave, thank you so much for this video!!!!! Small businesses, like ours “Cencalli” truly benefit from this kind of service…. Also, very appreciative that “Venalonzo’s” are part of the list, funny fact, this restaurants have something in common ……. the owners last name!!!! Each own by different brothers…. ❤
Thanks so much for watching! I’m honored this video made it your way 😀You guys are so good to my family when we stop by Cencalli, and we’ll see you soon I’m sure!
As a DTC resident who's always on the lookout for hidden gems, I love that you took the time to make this video. Keep them coming! Hard disagree on Shawarma Grill though. That place was the definition of meh-diterranean for me.
Thanks so much, Chris! We can’t agree on all of them! Definitely check out Gyros and Grill if you’re ever out west! Chances are we’d agree on that one 😀
@@mikekiefer9553 I have! Big fan of FelFel! Since it’s a little more visible with its own building, I think I removed it from the hidden gem category in my brain 😀 it’s a great suggestion!
I have to say thank you so much for including Parker locations in South Denver suburbs. There are so many folks who think the Denver metro stops at 470. Yes the landscape is mostly strip malls and there are more than just generic "mexican" and diners. There is a great little gem we've found called Trattoria Dionisia that does fantastic pastas. It's cozy and freindly. It's become our go to for a more upscale meal without breaking the bank.
You’re welcome! It was tough to decide where to stop. I figured Castle Rock was too far south and Castle Pines didn’t have a lot that would fall into this category. Thanks so much for checking it out!
I live two blocks from the taco shop on Main street and was absolutely delighted to find out how tasty they were, especially since they took over the location of a very loved pizza shop. The staff is SO friendly and the margs were tasty!
Went to Poulette Bakeshop a couple weeks ago and I concur - it's some of the best pastry I've had *anywhere*. Well worth the 20 min line to get in on a Saturday morning.
Dancing Noodle! Love them so much, easily my favorite restaurant. Also have been waiting for Tea Street to open for a while so it's good to hear that they finally have. I live pretty close so it's embarrassing that I didn't notice myself lol
I watched this purely to make sure Cencalli is on here. The place is a gem and the owners are amazing. My fiance and I met them the first week they opened when we came in and the lady personally greeted us and made sure our food was good (it was amazing).
Can’t wait to try some of these. In Parker, Jesse’s Smokin’ NOLA in the Safeway complex (Parker/Mainstreet) is worth checking out. And La Baguette de Normandy is right next to Tea Street is the OG French bakery in Parker and a must try.
Ooh thanks for these recs! Just added these to my list! 🙌🏼🙌🏼 Also the *tortas al pastor* at Venalonzo’s are absolute sandwich perfection. Highly recommend!
Urban Village in the Park Meadows mall is our favorite Indian spot. The butter chicken is the best I have ever had and Chef Charlie is very passionate about his food.

When we lived in Highlands Ranch we frequented Shawarma Mediterranean Grill. Happy to see it on this list. We are in Colorado Springs now and we are SLOWLY getting some good food here.
Hey Dave, we gotta get you up to the north side of town (Westminster, Broomfield, Thornton)! There's so many new Asian and "ethnic" restaurants up here now!
Totally! I forgot to include it in the edit (I see the clip sitting there!), where I said "North suburb crew, let me know if you want me to do this for you next." 😂 There's been so much more that's opened up there recently!
Yes, please include Arvada. My son does a youth orchestra there, meaning I have 90 minutes to kill around dinnertime every week. I really want to support the local-owned restaurants but don't know where to go.
This is an unpopular opinion but I think Denver has a pretty good food scene it's just an issue of the sprawl where you need a car to get to most places. Less of an issue of quality and more so not many places are walkable.
We are about to get another one in Frederick. Mr. Zilla's Pizza and Meco Coffee Collective dropping into 4th and Oak in Frederick. A good hit of Coffee and a Linguiza sausage southshore pizza? Oh heck yes.
I've been to a couple on your list; Venalonzo's and Shwarma in Littleton, both are good. One of my hidden gems is Tous les Jours for some really good French bakery and sweet treats.
@@vroom6490 Peruvian food is known for its variety and unique savory dishes. The first thing you need to know is not to order tacos or tortillas which are Mexican and not Peruvian. Their dishes range from non-spicy to mild and medium, but you can add Aji Pepper sauce up to where you enjoy the food and not burn your mouth. In a first visit to a Peruvian restaurant I would order a classic Lomo Saltado (Stir-fry beef), Rotisserie Chicken or Aji de Gallina. If you would also like to have a Peruvian drink you can order a Chicha Morada or the Peruvian soda Inca Kola; however if you are in the mood for a cocktail order a classic Pisco Sour. 😊

Sundance BBQ has great BBQ in Palmer Lake, on highway 105. The sliced brisket and smoked turkey sandwiches are delicious. Currently only open on Friday Saturday Sunday.
Part of me is thrilled Venalonzo's is blowing up, bc they deserve the recognition, but I do miss the days where we'd go with no wait. And yes, Dancing Noodle is incredible.
There's so many more! Off of Broadway Zaika and Sunflower Asian Cafe both rock, and there's a sandwich place in greenwood village in a basement called What a Sub that I consider way more worth the money than subway these days.
Indochine in Parker has terrific Thai curries and variety of really tasty dishes. Also found Sushi Kazu on Arapahoe has the most authentic Japanese dishes. My 90 year old Japanese mom approves. Thanks for the list - will try them all!
E&T Thai in Lone Tree is the only legitimately good Thai food I've found in nearly 15 years of living in the Denver area. For Mediterranean Falafel House in Lakewood or Gyros King and Pizzeria in Aurora; try their za'atar and cheese pizza. Masha and the Bear in Aurora serves Russian food and deserves so much more attention than they get.
Really great burgers at The Stand in Larkspur. The owner works out of the baseball field's snack shack at the Larkspur Community Park, Spruce Mountain Road/Highway 25.
Another good hole in the wall Mediterranean place on the west side of town is Falafel House & Grill on Eastman Drive & Wadsworth. It's literally hidden as it's at a hard angle to see fron Wadsworth or Eastman, but it is on the South East corner, sharing the parking lot with Red Robin & The Garlic Knot. Lunch specials make this place SUPER affordable.
