Honestly, i have been practising this piece since nearly a year ago (i havent played the whole time, i completed like 4-5 other pieces but I always played this occasionally because it wasnt good enough and I wanted to keep it in repetoire). So I have heard it thousands of times, and im a little tired of this piece. But I really liked this performance regardless. The fast section just has such a deep sound that I personally cant seem to achieve. Amazing performance

He is playing 5 hears in a day, and he has no time as a normal kid. Because his parents want, that he play as good as Lang Lang I think. But he has also a very big talent.
You have to practice a lot. I took piano lessons as a child. I didn't not take practicing seriously. My parents stopped the lessons. They were not going to waste their money and time. As a child and teenager I would play when I wanted to. Last year at 63 years of age I got my piano tuned and have been practicing as much as I can. I'm enjoying it now.
you wonder how does the maker bestow the gift of playing music on some and others don't. Obviously this child didn't spend years to learn playing the piano.
Hello - That `holding it back a bit' only comes with life's experience. Until then, it is inevitably on the wooden side. Given time, we should see the interpretation coming. This will probably be addressed by his tutor.
@@drdarrylschroeder5691 well what is the point then of playing a piece one can only perform technically? Chopin is not about playing like a robot - if this can’t be achieved, why not learn a more appropriate piece. That’s the question to the tutor.

Chopin is indeed about emotion, passion and romance as opposed to the stiffness of the purely classical pieces which demand technical brilliance. That is why we see such a variation in the performances of, for instance, Lugansky as opposed to Hamelin and so on, which makes it ever fresh to hear the same works being performed by different soloists. We can be sure that the tutor in question here will in due course bring this important point up with his young protege. Thank you for your intelligent comment. - RevDrDPhD
