I remembered the Holo UI in my old Android KitKat phone. Then we bought an android 6.0 phone and the transition from Holo UI to Material UI is absolutely crazy.
I respect your opinion, but imo material design looks too flat if that makes senses. I like the more modern approach of giving depth while still keeping the design simple-ish Tl;dr I prefer material you
I loved Material Design 1 ever since it came out with Lollipop. I didn't like MD2 very much, I felt it lacked personality, that MD1 had. I think MD3 looks amazing with dynamic colors, but I prefer to think of MD1 and MD3 as completely different things.
i personally think modern design1 android 5.0-6.0.1 was good material design 2 android 7.0-11 was so bland material you i find it quite bad just because of that damn control panel if only they stuck to the old one from android 9 i would of liked it and holo was pretty nice and also windows phone was pretty nice too bad it failed
Material Design definitely changed Android! I like it though I don't have a phone with this OS in my collection other than 4.0 (not functions), 4.1.2, 8.1 Go and 10.
Do you mean the transition period of Android from Holo UI (Kitkat) to Material UI (Lolipop)? Yeah me too... I really loved the concept UI design of Google Play Music during their IO events which never came to reality though. Maybe don't even know the difference between those 2. But I was a huge fan of both Apple and Google Nexus during that age. Apple was also different during that time. At least in my eyes.
To me, material design looks incomplete, like most of the apps are prototypes that don’t have their final design yet. Only when Material You debuted did this sentiment go away.
@i.have.no.videosno, it just went out of support in 2024 Updates for the android verison it’s self maybe yes, but google play services still kept the device up to date.
Stock Android like on the video, well was known for lightweight and simplicity also less bloatware that seems annoying But at the same time, may lack certain feature that skinned version have. I mean like Touchwiz or others at that time
@@isaackingvideos I tried to re-flash through ADB still kept boot looping. I downloaded stock images from android's dev website itself but it didn't helped. But anyway if I find that phone again I'm gonna give another shot on that. I think I might have dumped the phone after giving up on flashing it back to stock ROM. I don't even remember where it could be since it was years back incident.

@NobelTech You can emulate the OS on VM.
