My mower module just arrived. I now have everything I ordered. The snowblower module just did its first job this past Monday. This thing is definitely a beast.
I wanted to get one of these mowers and did a bunch of research. I contacted the company and asked for a phone call with someone due to the unique size of my lawn. After 3 attempts to talk to them with scheduled meetings times they never called. If they are this hard to get in touch with when i want to give you money how hard will they be to contact after they have your money. Be aware
I like the blades of the Lymow and the modularity of the Yarbo. I do not own a cell phone, but I have the ability to easily create survey quality coordinates and the coordinate geometry of my property, and more specifically, the required mowing area because I have a stream running through my backyard with a couple dozen tree obstacles. Would this work?
It had a good feeling, but the last few minutes when he wrapped it all up gave it that feeling. I found it quite informative. Wish it had more footage/info on snow.
The only thing that worries me about all these Tech bro devices is if their in it for the long haul or if after buying one of these , 4 or 5 years from now they've moved on to something else or have gone out of business and support simply dries up leaving you with a pricey piece of kit that cant be fixed once something breaks, if I'm buying a expensive piece of lawn equipment like say a lawn tractor, I'm, looking to get a good 10 years + out of it including access to parts and services options and the same goes here I need to know that I'm not just investing in a really nice looking door stop a few years after the initial purchase...
Even worse, they don't correct the problems in their first release, but the corrections and updates are available to you, if you drop another $3 grand to buy ver 2. (Mammotion). Yabro did a similar thing to their kickstarter backers just 3 months ago. "After paying $3,200+ for an S1 kickstarter project, they are now asked to pay another $1,800 to receive something that should have been the final product." Unlike Mammtion, at least the Yarbo upgrades are massive and far more than software corrections. Negative Development: The scheme where customers pay to beta test products.
Good point, another point for the Dreame Ai LIDAR one ... Dreame have been around for quite a while now ... who knows what will happen with the new ones ...
Hard to make complex high-tech metal-rich machinery cheap. It's just a couple of phones if you come to think of it. The question is, whether it can really do all that well enough, and how long it will hold up.
Then don't get it? Or try not to be so poor. It's a pretty good quality system for the price and can do a lot of different tasks. Maybe stick with something in your income level. Perhaps a push mower?
@@Alaska_Adventure well I'm poor, with my income of only $2k per month. I'm still considering a robotic mower because cutting the grass on my property takes way to much time - it's rather big, and grass grows like crazy, and I have really little free time. Right now I have a classic gas mower I barely use any more, and a battery Ryobi 40v mower which is quite nice. But if I'm too invest into a crazy expensive platform, I want it to be reliable and functional. They are in their infancy, yes, they have advanced past the guide wires, but they're still quite a risk as I see it. I don't quite believe yarbo is very functional. It can mow, but it is pretty long, so not going to be able to go to places where smaller mowers can go. It can clear snow, but that's another attachment, and from what I've seen on TH-cam, it's not hands-free and efficient enough, at least for places where it snows a lot, and where snow is often wet (I live in Mordor and we have tons of it in the part where I reside). It can tow stuff, but it looks more like a gimmick because why would you need it? A simple wheelbarrow driven manually will be faster and more precise in tight spaces.
Bro it’s the price of a riding mower of low to medium quality and it doesn’t require you to go ride on it. And it is the size of a little push mower. Do you do lawn work or do you play fort night ?
@@pestandlawnginja.... HOWEVER, will WiFi HaLow signals penetrate through a hill ? Or communicate to the M1 on the OTHER side of a hilltop with a large deadzone (in between several hills) meaning 1) imperfect wifi HaLow coverage, 2) no 4G cellular coverage* , ... and 3) semi-shady / >75% open sky, or does YARBO need to consider selling HaLoW REPEATERS for it's DATA CENTER (to install OUTSIDE of a secondary structure, or for example on top of a barn / shed) ? This scenario is with the assumption that the CHARGING BASE & DATA CENTER is already as close to the deadzone side of the house, and the DATA CENTER has a perfect open-sky view, but still cannot cover the deadzone in between hills perfectly via the HaLow wireless system.
I'd like to see this mow around a pond edge. The slope and occasional soft ground makes it a challenge for pond owners to maintain. This might be a good solution, but would need to see. Not sure if the cutter heads would stand up to thicker reeds etc, bit maybe that's a future mod.
Maybe you guys can help me. I'm trying to decide the luba 2 10,000 AWD or this unit. I have pretty choppy terrain about 2 acres. Lots of shade and some hills. I would say a pretty challenging cut
Yarbo’s weight, its flex mowing deck, and its track design will be outstanding for terrain conquering. It’s literally a tank….you cant really compare a go-kart with a tank.😂
Neither! With 2 acres you'll be replacing cutter blades every 2 weeks. They will give you a clean cut, the first time, if it's flawless 2 acre lawn. If it's field grass, you're better off with goats.
I wanted the Yarbo because of its modularity. It's a bit out of my price point at the moment; my last car cost less. That said, I picked up two other robot lawnmowers on a super sale, and I love not having to cut the grass and waste my sparse weekend project time.
I ordered one during the recent limited sale, around the 1350 of 1500 mark … currently mowing 1.6 acre using a 14 year old Craftsman 48 inch “tractor” style riding mower… takes a couple hours, looked at spending close to 4K for a zero turn with fabricated deck… figured for a few dollars more I’d get a mower and blower combo that I can schedule… supposedly it will ship late August… was really turned off on the Lubya 2 by the software limited lawn size
I have a gate between my front yard and backyard. Would I have to keep my gate open at all times, or how could I schedule the front yard to be mowed at a time when I would be here to open the gate? Also, how does this machine navigate under tight areas like picnic tables, I’ve got 2. Razor blade replacements? How much of a hassle is that?
Trust me when I tell you that the razor-blade cutters are a hassle. I'm on 1 acre and get up to 3 clean cuts with new blades then must flip the machine then flip, rotate or replace the blades. Your lawn must be flawless. Sticks, leaves, pine-cones or any other debris destroy the blades instantly.
I may have missed it but I wonder if they have some kind of “fleet mode” or someone thing similar. I could see these being very popular in the commercial area.
this is what i keep thinking like if you could add and address for each zone and then pull up and while it mows or edges you do another task or even have two of them doing it. would be so profitable
Only like 1/4 the cost of my john deere tractor :) If it doesnt have one, tell the makers to add a striping feature, and a feature in the ap that lets you drraw and program striping :)
One thing you didn't mention. How well does it handle Thick Heavy grass? I have St Augustine that grows very thick in spots, that it even bogs down my 21 HP riding mower.
How does it do turns? One of the main complaint pubs has is that it digs in because of the large wheels. Yarbo might even dig trenches with its belt wheel
Can you show us more of the weed eater and trimmer attachments… that’s make it or break it for me. I’d throw any amount of cash at yarbo if I never had to weed eat my property again. I have 3.5 acres, but tons of trees, outdoor kitchen, pool, barn, shed, shrubs, it takes me two days to mow and two days to weed eat and trim because my back seizes up and spasms. I’m ooooover it. Show me what all that attachment can do and I’ll buy one on the spot.
I have the mammotion luba v1. and use it on 1 acre. It has saved me time but certainly not trouble free. I had to invest in a wireless mesh system to maintain the WiFi connection. Even after mapping and remapping and editing task areas several times, it still loses positioning quite often because of my tress. I had to top two trees so the device could see satellites. Still, there are some areas on the North sides of my structures that it can't mow, because it can't see enough satellites. The tech is almost capable but as of right now, it's limited to open sky areas. Yarbo may have solved this problem. Wait until the public has completed the beta testing and read up on forums to get a sense of satisfaction. Lastly, the cutting blades (razors) will dull very quickly and you'll become frustrated with the quality of cut as well as the frequency of replacing those 8 blades. Sorry for the lengthy reply.
I will for sure! unfortunately this product was pre launch. i should be receiving my personal unit soon to do an official review. but it may be next season before i can do that.
No information on how to set up the mowing pattern. With the other products you simply run the course that you want the mower to follow once at the beginning and it will repeat the pattern that you have chosen. How do you program this one or do you outline the area and then it randomly cuts within that area?
Would be interesting if they made something like a mini flail mower, we have sticks contantly, my regular mower I just go over with, I'd prefer to just mulch that stuff up
I have a pool and decking made of pavers, I want to get one of these, I’m alone and female, and not to computer savvy, will this avoid going in my pool? Because the old man who used to do my Lawn falls asleep on his zero turn mower, and I’m afraid he’s gonna end up in the pool so I’d rather have a robot.
Any anti-theft incorporated into this? I travel a lot, and not sure how I would or where I would keep this as I am in a neighborhood. I currently have a Mammotion Luba and love it, but I am going to be leaving this in the sale of my current home. Yarbo intrigues me. Also, if left outside, I would maybe want to make a "garage" of sorts for it. Thoughts? Also, if one area is fenced and the front yard is not, what is a solution to be able to have it navigate between front and back? Thanks for the video, sponsored or not, it was informative.
The towing feature is cool. I've used an old Toro personal pace to drag heavy logs from a tree we fell. It works well if you can keep the deck down. Lol. Very cool this company realizes they've created a yard assistant.
for some people the snow blower feature that works all night may be worth it.. Lots cheaper than installing, 1 repair or a seasons utility bills for a heated driveway. how loud is it? will cities start to ban machines like this operation at night? IF you had an electric gate could it open that? and will it interface with the sprinkler controller or some moisture sensor on the grass so it knows when best to mow? Does it know to watch the weather forecast to know to wait for the sun to dry up the morning dew or last nights sprinkle or watering? they are using similar machines in Ukraine to place mines or haul large charges to a enemies position and detonate.
It's not quiet haha, i couldn't tell you a decible reading. maybe slightly quieter than a normal 2 stage but not by much. As for the lawn mower, its pretty quiet. you could run it all night and not bother people. the app does allow for setting your own schedule and it has a rain safe mode.
This would take a real deep financial evaluation for places like ski areas and such. mean time between failure, battery life, cu ft of snow that can be removed in 24 hours... how many units would be needed to keep a certain real-estate snow free at typical snow fall rates. Compared to cheap workers who work for food and a snow pass. Salty, wet cold environments are some of the harshest for machines and electronics and motors... Imagine a future with these machines going by.
That's why respected reviewers don't do paid reviews or take free products to review. They distance themselves from the company as much as possible. But this is hard to make a profit on if ur not already established and self sustainable financially.
@Nobody-vr5nl or it could be a sign to protect you against all the scamming that happens through kickstarters and crowd funding. They can't afford a nominal fee then chances are they won't fund. Taking a ton of your money. Further more what you don't see are the several that were tested out that I didn't end up releasing a video. Fun fact..... did you know it takes me more than 40 to 60 hours to make these videos.
100% has my interest. I've got a big property and have to invest several hours every couple of days to cut my grass BEFORE I can get to the real projects. This would buy me so much time and freedom. How often do you need to replace those blades and what's the policy on returning if not satisfied? Would love to see one demoed in person.
The blades have 4 edges and can be flipped or rotated for a new edge 4 times before actually replacing the blades, so simply stating that the blades need to be replaced every 4 to 6 weeks omits the fact that you still have get under the machine to rotate or flip the blades to a new edge to maintain quality of cut. One little stick or few leaves and the blades are shot.
Correct the m1 is an add on from the bot that comes with the cover. They do package deals which makes it difficult to cover you the price. Ball park is about $4500 with just the m1 but with the packs discounts could be less
How about small animal detections. Like here in Sweden we have problems every summer of hedgehogs getting severely injured or killed by robot lawn movers resulting in severe agony and pain before they die.
@rsmith5201 1 second ago I like that it is modular wiih different attachments. What is holding me back is how secure it is. I have been watching several videos and reading information on different websites. NO one is talking about any theft prevention security features. Not even this video. When you're looking at $4,300 for the core and the lawnmower attachment. I want to know if it can be stolen or not. Is there security / theft prevention in Yarbo? If o, how come NO one is talking about it?
You could hide a silenced airtag on it. That's what I've done with my Yuba. But if the thief uses an iphone, the airtag may start warning him if he hangs around it. That happens after 24 hours, so you better find it quick.
this machine is commercial quality. the spin rate is faster. so the cut is technically better. I will say with razors..... they're very sharp. so the benefit is you may get an additional couple of weeks out of this unit before replacing the blades.
@@pestandlawnginjaspeaking of the blade replacement. I have three acres of St. Augustine and Bermuda mix in Northeast Texas along about 300 ft of lake front. How long do you suppose the blades would last? In the summer I have to mow about every four to five days.
@jeffheadley7108 these style mower blade last about 6 to 8 weeks on average. You'll want to spray the undercarriage and blades off once or twice a week if you want optimal performance. Blade change is quick. They're just razors
It's a lot more than a tad bit more. If you want it with the snow blower and mower, without the trimmer and edger, it's 5500+ if it's on sale. If you add the edger and trimmer, it goes up another 600-800 so you're looking at about double what he quoted in the video.
The stripes dont look very good IMO. Its quite a beast, so I wonder if they could release a roller attachment that goes behind when mowing. Might produce better stripes?
It can pull a car, de-thatcher, etc. I don't think pulling a strip roller would be a problem. Problem would come in when it returns to the dock. You could try mounting a squeegee blade to the rear (wait until its out of warranty :-).
Little over 2 acres per day. More than the rest. I believe due to the cutting deck they're ahead of the others when it comes to cutting space management per day and per hour
this is awesome. Its incredibly expensive sure, but my parents have a property with like 10000 sqft of grass and it would be cheaper to operate this than pay to have it cut, as long as this bot lasts a few years, given my estimates are correct. hopefully by the time theyre too old to cut it, the price comes down and technology improves further, but im not sure what else i would ask of it
Best robot mower I've seen so far. One question you mentioned it mows 18,000 sq.ft. or 3 hours per charge, It also will put it's self on charge if the battery becomes low. If it's in the middle of mowing the lawn, the battery becomes low and it parks it's self for a charge. Will it remember where it left off and pick back up at the same place when charging is finished? Same thing for rain sensor, will it pack back up where it left off after the rain stops.
@@pestandlawnginja so between the sidewalk and road there’s usually a 3’ or more stretch of land owned by by the city or town and maintained by us Called a treebelt
i wonder what the market for this is, i guess people with a ton of money to burn, if you got a quarter acre you can mow it in an hour with a push mower that costs 200 bucks. if you got 5 or 10 acres you probably have a tractor and can spend 800 dollars and mow it in a few hours as well.
@@ROFLbeaver a new zero turn won't be a brick when the company goes under and the servers are offline. Yarbo had a good amount of time to switch to something like Dreame's A1 LiDAR SLAM system and they doubled down on RTK.
If this company survives, and finds enough free capital after servicing warranties, then maybe , just maybe the subsequent versions may have some merit.

I will for sure! unfortunately this product was pre launch. i should be receiving my personal unit soon to do an official review. but it may be next season before i can do that.
Technology just gets better, and better, and better.
Amen
Can't wait for mine to arrive.
It's a beast!
Did you get it? How did it perform?
This is one of the best videos I have seen on Yarbo as of today. I would like to see more mowing and setup before making my purchase.
appreciate the feedback. more to come as i get to playing with it over the next few months
I'm considering this right now, m1+trimmer + s1. Watching this review trying to decide this vs Luba Mammotion2.
Be interested in seeing what you choose
How does Yarbo compare to Luba 2? Snow blower is not a concern.
That's what I want to know, but for the money, I think Yarbo would be a better option, especially if it's well supported by the company.
Is there a monthly fee for app and gps usage?
No there is not
How much is yearly cost for app?
If memory serves me right they don't have initial fees. If there's something a fews years down the road I'm not sure
Boundary wire free them are the magic words
💯
No information on how to set up the mowing pattern. With the other products you simply run the course that you want the mower to follow once at the beginning and it will repeat the pattern that you have chosen. How do you program this one or do you outline the area and then it randomly cuts within that area?
Great, how much is it?
My worx landroid m700 gets stuck on a flat rectangular lawn. It is totally useless. Would like to see this live.
Did I miss how many zones you can set up ?
He didn't say but Yarbo claims it can manage up to 100 mowing zones.
Can it sweep leaves
No. It has an optional leaf blower
Would be interesting if they made something like a mini flail mower, we have sticks contantly, my regular mower I just go over with, I'd prefer to just mulch that stuff up
Good call!
That's what I'm searching for. We have tons of sticks in our yard. That's why I came to this video to see if it took care of that.
A bagger module would be nice
Agree 👍
Crazy your mower could handle the weight 😅
for some people the snow blower feature that works all night may be worth it..
Good call!
Now THOSE are mountains. Is this Colorado I'm guessing?
Utah
I hate paid review
Eh, most people can't afford this and don't have a home anyway
Hard to tell who's telling the truth. I get it
@@pestandlawnginjawere you telling the truth?
Blades need to be replaced every 6 to 8 weeks. I recommend washing the Module out every week
IDK. It's cool, but it takes me an hour to mow my entire lawn and trim it. It's decent exercise. Since I went electric, I kind of enjoy mowing now.
Nice nice. This product gets handy for larger properties
Very impressive. I must say.
It's super cool
Is the core a separate price and the M1 is extra. not really sure what you get for$3499
Correct the m1 is an add on from the bot that comes with the cover. They do package deals which makes it difficult to cover you the price. Ball park is about $4500 with just the m1 but with the packs discounts could be less
How long do they last?
i would assume past the 2 year warranty. time will tell.
How about small animal detections. Like here in Sweden we have problems every summer of hedgehogs getting severely injured or killed by robot lawn movers resulting in severe agony and pain before they die.
Imagine how great these would be with an internal combustion engine.
sounds fun
How do you make it completely automatic when you need to add gas regularly?
@rsmith5201
I like that it is modular wiih different attachments.
@PestandLawnGinja how is the actual cut grass compared to the orion x7?
this machine is commercial quality. the spin rate is faster. so the cut is technically better. I will say with razors..... they're very sharp. so the benefit is you may get an additional couple of weeks out of this unit before replacing the blades.
@PestandLawnGinja thanks for the quick response!
They're just razors
pretty cool... I guess for some folks it could be cheaper than a lawn service
For properties above 10,000 sq ft no doubt
@@pestandlawnginja 3.5 acres, abbbbbbsolutely
Wow…!! Was that $3500.00
For everything..???
That’s Awesome 🤙
The m1 add on is a tad more but it's pretty awesome considering it blows snow and leaves and now mows
It's a lot more than a tad bit more. If you want it with the snow blower and mower, without the trimmer and edger, it's 5500+ if it's on sale. If you add the edger and trimmer, it goes up another 600-800 so you're looking at about double what he quoted in the video.
@@crager2024 I can dream…lol
Price?
Check description of the video.
Can it trim hedges and trees?
🤣🤣🤣
Wow that cost like the same as paying a company to maintain your lawn for a couple years 😮
Depends on how big your lawn is.
Maybe for one year
@@1970YOLO Facts
The stripes dont look very good IMO. Its quite a beast, so I wonder if they could release a roller attachment that goes behind when mowing. Might produce better stripes?
It can pull a car, de-thatcher, etc. I don't think pulling a strip roller would be a problem. Problem would come in when it returns to the dock. You could try mounting a squeegee blade to the rear (wait until its out of warranty :-).
Interesting enough the charge station is wireless. I'll try it when I can to see if it's possible
hello,i noticed that the background of your video is very beautiful ,can you tell me where it is ? i hope to go there one day.thank you
Long Island
@@pestandlawnginja thank you so much
That's mount timp in Utah
That RTK antenna costs about $700 all on its own.
It takes 48 hours to complete 3 acres or .48 acres in full charge which is not good at all. We don't know what will be the performance later
2 acres per day is light years ahead of anyone else on the market in the robot mower world
That's a tank!! 😆
Literally!
@@pestandlawnginja 😄
Was hoping to see you using it. And giving your opinions. This is basically a 10 min ad read
I was using it. The part I didn't use was the trimmer and the tow feature. I'll have more updates on it 😄

does not work
Thanks for the heads up. Should be resolved now
Now just add all the sensors and electronics to a regular zero turn riding mower.
I didn’t know Bill Burr does mowing
they advertise this as beiong able to handle 6 acres, so 18ksqft (0.41 acres) per charge is kind of dissapointing for someone with a large yard.
Little over 2 acres per day. More than the rest. I believe due to the cutting deck they're ahead of the others when it comes to cutting space management per day and per hour
looks strong
this is awesome.
Yes it does indeed remember where it left off and will resume to finish where it left off after it charges / rain delay
Don’t give your regular mower away yet.😂
not yet
Didn’t show it trimming tho, or a tree belt
Unfortunately not.
What do you mean by tree belt?
@@pestandlawnginja so between the sidewalk and road there’s usually a 3’ or more stretch of land owned by by the city or town and maintained by us
Called a treebelt
@@pestandlawnginja are they going to shoot a video of the trimming?
@bobdabldr323 I imagine eventually. I'll be doing a video once it's out and I use it for a bit
Sounds very interesting !
super fun and way more useful that i had anticipated when i started using it last december.
i wonder what the market for this is, i guess people with a ton of money to burn, if you got a quarter acre you can mow it in an hour with a push mower that costs 200 bucks. if you got 5 or 10 acres you probably have a tractor and can spend 800 dollars and mow it in a few hours as well.
Are there european dealers ?
very impressive!
Very!
Nice Devise 😁
indeed!
I would have to put insurance on it im afraid of someone might steal it
Few anti theft options. And it comes with gps. So if it were turned back on you'd have a location and for them it would be unusable
I know the $3500 price tag sounds a little shocking until you know what it can do (using the other attachments that cost even more)… 🤣
100
Just look at the price of a new zero turn
@@ROFLbeaver a new zero turn won't be a brick when the company goes under and the servers are offline. Yarbo had a good amount of time to switch to something like Dreame's A1 LiDAR SLAM system and they doubled down on RTK.

If this company survives, and finds enough free capital after servicing warranties, then maybe , just maybe the subsequent versions may have some merit.
Heya Ginja!
Looks like you got a new girlfriend.
I'm still waiting for this to be able to wash the car, paint the house and make coffee in the morning.
Great video. Thanks!
Next module for sure!!!
U can probably make ur money back by mowing neighbors in couple years
Good call
Say you own a company . Will it keep knowledge of all your clients property.??
i don't have an answer to this. i know it will save a master map within 2.5 acres or greater.
Give us a proper review after you have used the mower for a while
