I like Tenerife but for me Lanzarote wins hands down! We go often, we love how low rise it is, clean and relaxed! It’s a beautiful island! Puerto del carmen has everything.. the old town is lovely. Caters for all! Love it!
I grew up going to Tenerife so it has a special place in my heart ❤️ but……in recent years we have been going to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura instead and they are now our number one and number two…… but let’s face it….there isn’t a bad/horrible Canary island 🏝️ to be on 😊
We stayed in the Rubicon Marina area in September .. loved it and back in 2025. Fabulous area, felt very safe and loved the absence of ‘British bars’ and street sellers. Not drinkers so loved the history and attractions on the island. Still do an annual trip to Costa Adeje in December but we loved Lanzarote.

Many years ago since I was in lanzarote I was only 12 , tour looked excellent and playa blanco looked super clean and traditional

We visit Lanzarote twice a year and always have a great time. It’s low rise and spotless and you have the choice of a busy or a very relaxed holiday. Travelling back next week and looking forward to it.
We have stayed in lanzarote 5 times now .Stayed at Natura Palace. Fantastic hotel.

Excellent video as usual. We’re taking our 3rd trip to Playa Blanca in March. We’ve previously had 3 holidays in Costa Adeje and reached the conclusion that Lanzarote is the better of the 2 islands as it is more laid back & far less commercialised. Obviously it’s a matter of personal preference but we love Lanzarote.
We have been to Lanzarote, Playa Blanca was lovely, but a very small resort, and we found that we had done it in a week, Puerto Del Carmen was fantastic, hired a private villa for 3 weeks, but again everywhere we go, we end up saying " it isn't Tenerife" 😂 i think we have found our second home now, and we won't be venturing anywhere else 😉
We have stayed several times at Hesperia Playa Dorada hotel which overlooks Playa Dorada. It's in the perfect spot on the coastal footpath between the Rubicon Marina and Playa Blanca town with fabulous views towards Fuerteventura. Tenerife is always our top holiday spot but this does come a close second. Your tour was really well thought out, he definitely showed you some great areas. Glad you liked it.
From what you showed, Lanzarote puts Tenerife South to shame. Hate to say it, Tenerife is losing it for us.
Puerto del Carmen was great back in my younger days for partying. Playa Blanca is the nice resort along with Costa Teguise. A lot quieter than Tenerife. Great to see x

Stayed in playa blanca it’s really nice and probably had some of the nicest wine we’ve ever had! Eat at the restaurant at the top of mount timanfaya where they cook using heat from the volcano! Fantastic

Lanzarotte , is very nice and we have been before , however with the head of tourism stating in early 23 that she didn’t want British visitors as they weren’t ‘posh enough ‘ compared to German and French visitors , I won’t ever be going back , so it’s Tenerife, ( December) Fuertaventura( in May ) and Gran canneria ( Jan 25) tenerife (nov 25)
