      Dude, biggest fact ever. I'm tackling the exhaust manifold, turbo, and DP now and it's scary. Slowly getting there though!

    Thank you for this video. Definitely made it so much easier to replace a bad O2 sensor 🙂

      I have the same DP, trying to mate it to my Cobb 3" SS catback. Lining it up is a huge PITA. Any advice?

    two questions: did the down pipe set a code? and could heat wrap be used as a suitable replacement for the heat shield?

    • @tomwilkinson3336
      @tomwilkinson3336 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      should not get engine codes if its tuned for it

    Is there supposed to be a gas smell after installing? Had mine on for a month and at idle the vents just push in air from the engine bay and it smells and gives me a headache

    the reason I got a 2013 MSP 3 with a cobb access port and cork sport exhaust I haven't been able to lift it up to really look at everything

    A lot of write-ups mention removing three heat shields. Looks like you only had to remove two?
    I'm assuming the third heat to remove would be the one on the underside of the exhaust manifold.

    Cobb instructions say use the Primary O2 sensor into the cast bung. You put it in the welded bung. Now I'm confused. Please explain?

    Hey I just installed my DP by way of your instructions on the video. Everything works grear. Except now I'm getting check engine lights about my front and rear O2 sensor being negative currant or something. My question is can I run my car without them safely or without hurting my engine?

      If you have an aftermarket downpipe then you're basically guaranteed to get a CEL after install so that's perfectly normal. You need to have an Accessport to get rid of the CEL because your ECU doesn't know you upgraded your downpipe. Btw I hope you have upgraded internals lol

    • @HeyItsBoofy
      @HeyItsBoofy 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +SimplyCRehZ what do you mean by upgraded internals and why is it necessary for a downpipe...?

    • @acruz6112
      @acruz6112 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      On mazdas u nees to upgrade the fuel pump. To a high output one. Because u care isnworking harder. Thanks ***** i forgot to respond. It was actually a loose cable connection to the oxygen senor. It workes great.

    If I just install the Cobb downpipe with the manufacture exhaust with the upgraded high fuel pressure pump internals do I go to stage 2 on my accessport? Or I have to upgrade the exhaust also to go to stage 2?

    • @Meanmachine.ms3
      @Meanmachine.ms3 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stage 2 with or without exhaust. Always stage 2 with downpipe , hpfp , intake and turbo inlet hose

    • @Bones1on1
      @Bones1on1 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      MikeyandS2 I wasn’t sure

    • @TomCanino
      @TomCanino 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Stage 1 is just the tune, Stage 1+ is intake and tune (hpfp suggested but not required), then Stage 2 is the Tune, intake, HPFP, and then the dp. Going by stages is a subaru thing tho lol

    • @Bones1on1
      @Bones1on1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you guys happen to know if I should install the 3.5map sensor with the downpipe or just when I’m going with the next stage turbo? I still have the stock turbo

    Has anyone encountered smoking after installing everything? My car began to smoke pretty badly out of the engine bay right after it was turned on

    • @calomanny
      @calomanny 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Could just be leftover PB Blaster or WD40 on the exhaust. Or you're suffering the fated "Smoking Turbo", which really commonly shows after you start modifying the exhaust. Try running a 5w40 weight full synthetic oil (like Rotella T6), and see if your problem doesn't get a little bit better.

    • @musclekid31
      @musclekid31 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I always run Rotella T6, i found out the issue is that the downpipe has oils left on it from the manufacturer and the smoke is the oils being burned off.

    Don't u need internals the ap to run the dp

    • @slipcarefully

      Yes hpfp internals are required to run a downpipe safely.

      Slip is 100% correct. I spent over $600 replacing my fuel pump bc i did not do HPFP internals, .. i then spent another $350 for the Internals .. Don't be a tool. spend!!

      @@sbag00247 why did you have to spend 600 on a fuel pump?
