I purchase my leds from Amazon. I find this company has the brightest bulb. Luxrite c7 led. The shape is great for fitting in buildings and come in 7 colors! $11.99 for a pk of 6.

How would you do railroad tracks for the Dept. 56 Halloween train?
Hahah-funny you should ask. I’m teaching my next in-person class on just that! I’ll likely do something for the channel relatively soon.

Enjoyed your review and agree with the great detail of these pieces. I like that the house is not glossy even though it’s made of porcelain. The yellow LED really looks good. What brand did you purchase? I hope Lowe’s has that Jack-o-lantern again this year.
I think of the old ones as New England Village size because D56 maybe wanted them to fit in with that line.
Thanks! The LEDs are from Amazon-don’t really know the brand-plenty to choose from. Our Lowes hasn’t put out much of anything this year so far-hopefully soon!
Ordered the Ichabod Crane house, Gunpowder horse and Ichabod himself today! This is such a great remake of the older Sleepy Hollow house. Can’t wait until Dept 56 unveils the next one. I already have the headless horseman with lit pumpkin. I also got my Kraken house a few days ago too. Carl…you’re very dangerous on my wallet! 😂😂

No-these are much larger than the Sleepy Hollow-een pieces.
Nice piece. So this is going to being seperate from your other Sleepy Hollow display? I thought this was adding to it. But it sounds like it maybe its a whole new version of it that might not go together.

Thank you! Suggest you just start simple and small-make a nicely detailed vignette with something you already have. If I were to start over again, I’d only collect crypts and trick or treat lane houses!

If they’re crypts they will! The 2021 Crypt and the rat catcher are two that are in my crypt collection!
Sometimes I don’t understand D56. I have all of the original pieces and almost ordered these. I would have been really irritated that they were a different scale. I can’t see myself displaying two Sleepy Hollow scenes. I’m putting this one in the Silver Bullet 25th Anniversary category.
I hear ya! The original Sleepy Hollow-een were marketed completely separately from other villages-more along the size of the Dickens’ village pieces. They were only available as “gift sets” in four separate boxed sets. These new ones are a part of the Snow Village Halloween release-a totally different size. I like them and think they’ll be a nice collection-it’ll just take up more space in order to display them all vs. the smaller Sleepy Hollow-een sets.
