As far as I know, the biggest befunge-93 progam is a version of Hunt The Wumpus; it fills nearly the whole area, including space it reserves for the map table.
Funge-98 has a very interesting mechanism known as fingerprints. It is an interesting idea so that people could actually expand the esolang features. Very few esolangs has this mechanism. The implementation of fingerprints is quite complex and it requires a more advanced interpreter. Nice how you explained about Befunge.
I really love these Jr. Troopa cameos; especially because the Paper Mario series of games would be my favourite :P If you could somehow come up with a storyline for a language that incorporates the battle sequence that would be amazing :P
