    I thought that the VA funding fee was a one time deal. Because I transitioned from Georgia and had to pay the VA funding fee in Alaska! But was refunded the fee when I provided the letter to the realtor agent🤘Plus in Alaska...I don't pay property taxes..at 80% disability. Wish TEXAS would step up

      Texas has the best veterans benefits, man. It's better than any other state. Name a better state? It's not Georgia. Texas is one of just two states with full property tax exemptions for 100% Scheduler and 100% P&T (like myself). Unmatched man. Texas has crazy benefits outside of VA benefits like the Hazelwood Act, which pays up to 120 hrs tuition to all 3 of my kids to all institutions in Texas except private schools like Baylor, SMU, TCU, etc. Texas A&M, Texas University, etc are good to apply though. We also are exempt from paying all toll ways in Texas if you're a Disabled Veteran with "DV plates". Why you think Fort Hood and Fort Sam Houston Soldiers retire and stay put? It's a no brainer.

      Absolutely! Thanks for the encouragement. Veterans deserve to own a piece of the country they help defend and I love helping them to make that a reality.

    The reason why people don't use it really is because of credit score

    I tried to use the VA loan with a 680 credit score , I make 110,000 a year and they only pre-approved 150,000, plus a down payment. I didn't have a good experience with the VA loan in Columbus Ohio , straight trash up here.

    • @AlamoCityLiving
      @AlamoCityLiving  ปีที่แล้ว

      We wouldn’t be able to speak to the market in Ohio or your specific situation, however if they’re telling you have to put down a downpayment, then you should ran and shopped with a different lender.

    Also when I looked into it and there are other loans that look better then the VA home loan

      Which loans are you referring to? Any that don’t require a down payment?

    My wife and I (I'm active duty, she is a veteran with a VA Rating) are moving to San Antonio this summer. We are having issues with buying a house because sellers are taking conventional loans over VA loans. Any recommendations to help out? Enjoyed your video!

    • @AlamoCityLiving
      @AlamoCityLiving  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have not had any problems with my clients offers being looked over due to their loan being VA. You want to make sure you’re working with a Realtor who knows the VA home loan benefit and how to educate sellers agents in the event you run into a problem. Give me a call and lets set up a meeting.

    I’m a 100% VA Disabled Veteran and I applied for the Homestead Exemption and I was told that you have to be a 100% and Unemployable, is it true?

    • @AlamoCityLiving
      @AlamoCityLiving  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Greg,
      No I have never heard of that happening before or even being true. The homestead exemption is available to everyone, not just veterans, and the criteria is the same all across the board. Not sure about your situation in particular, but that isn't typically a requirement for a homestead exemption.
      thanks for the suppot and dont hesitate to reach out to us if need be. Take care!
