"It's a film that happened" I choked on my drink!
When Russell finds out the missile is 5 minutes away from blowing up the area, he runs out of the grocery store, into the parking lot, gets in his car, drives back to the base like a crazy man, enters the base with no resistance, parks his car, runs into the building, bursts into the control room, and stops the missile with 1 second left. That has to be the longest 5 minutes in movie history.
@@jonfreeman9682He called the base. And the drone operator probably is in a room where he cannot be called. So, landline was only way to call him.
Hahaha! 🤣. So I'm not the only one that picked up on that, eh? Ha! I mean okay, yah, they have on-base stores n' such. ....but really?! .....Really?!!! Ah, c'mon!
Joseph & Nick need a side business writing and editing dating app profiles because y’all are both perfectly and deliciously descriptive ❤❤❤
Ok calm down
So basically his performance cheapened it, but it was already on the clearance rack? 😂❤🤷🏿♀️
😂😂😂😂👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️❤️❤️
Pretty much . Great analysis lol
"Land of Bland." Nick, you're hilarious! ❤
Happy St Valentine's!
Nicks facial expressions and head shakes are everything
This title. Oh lord no
I know right? and put together with Joseph's facial expression and Nick's eye roll and I think it says it all about this movie Lol😆
I gotta say, I liked the movie. I too thought it was much better than I expected it to be. However, there is one glaring plot hole that I couldn't get past. now, let me first say that I realize this is a movie where you're not really supposed to think too much and just watch & enjoy. With that said, the one thing that made me go, "...Wait, huh?" is when Sugar shows up and rescues Liam. Okay,....where was he this whole time? Where did he come from? They've been tracking Liam via thermal cam, using that same cam to let him know where hostiles are, yet somehow never went, "Oh, hey look, there's somebody else." Maybe he was magically able to stay outside the 500m zoom range. {{eye roll} Outside of that, I thought it was just fine.
Keep In mind during the time sugar showed up reaper wasn’t on anymore , because the dumbass Colonel who wasn’t paying attention for basically the whole movie made him get out the seat. In doing so the next person to take his place was focused merely on getting the strikes set, my thesis is that during the rpg , bishop was taken but sugar escaped giving him time to track down liam ( questionable)
@@Vxzonprovision ...Hmm, was Reaper changed out at that point? When we see Sugar rescue Playboy from that little hut? Huh,....I guess it wasn't, but in my mind it feels like that part was fairly early in the film. Anyway,...but yah, it's like, BOOM!, CRASH!, KABLAM!, "Ahhh, no! My teammates are dead! ....Hmm, guess I'll go for a walk. Crap, they found me." Then, off camera, Poof!! A puff of magical smoke, & out of it comes Sugar. "Yo, Playboy, stay quiet, I'm here to rescue you.". Ya know,...ehhh,..I mean, I guess we're supposed to go by the unwritten rule: if you don't see a body, that character may just appear again at some point. Eh, I think it's a bit lazy of them to use a trope to get away with not explaining it. As I said before, overall it's not a big deal, just one of those, ,".....hey wait a minute!..." moments I just couldn't forget about.
I actually thought a large majority of the movie was really good and kept me on my toes. The last 20 minutes was pretty unrealistic but house infiltration was awesome. Also usually not a fan of Milo because he majorly overacts in most of his roles but in this case it really works.
One of the films of all time 😂
😂😂😂
Please give us a top ten movies to watch on an airplane at the end of the year😅
Side note: I saw Mother! on an airplane and I'm traumatized
Love that film. It reminded me of Climax. A lot for a plane ride thought 😂
I'd watch an airplane only top 10 list
Didn’t the movie Good Kill already cover this territory? Oops, good catch Nick!
Nick, the Alec Baldwin reference killed me. Needed that laugh 😂 thank u
Russell Crowe is now being typecast into such roles.. very similar to what he did in the Pope's exorcist
Who else thought Land of Bad was a joke title they made up for the review?
PLEASE DO A REVIEW FOR MADAME WEB. 😂
I cosign this request
Most probably wedged in Russell Crowe to lend "star power" the way you describe his on base persona - they let him have his way too! Onto your list 🥲sadly, since half was tolerable!
Another great review! My dad will love this movie. Cheers!
I'm watching it because of William Eubank
I really liked his work in UNDERWATER
I watched land of bad yesterday and I have to say. Being that I'm an ex army guy. I have to say that this is one of the most accurate depiction of the military that I've seen in a long time. It was awesome! Liam Hemsworth acted exactly just like a new guy attached to infantry. And the airforce people acted exactly how airforce people act. It was a perfect military movie in my opinion. The captain isn't going to be reprimanded for destroying the TV. Because he not in the wrong. The Colonel is in the wrong.
@@jonfreeman9682 No. It wasn't an exaggeration. That's how my brother is acts. He was in the Air Force. The only Air Force people that pay attention and are competent. Are the guys that spit train with Army or Marines.
@jonfreeman9682 That's how people are in the day room. Plus, they are Air Force people. Air force people are way more disrespectful and undisciplined, just like college kids. Air force basic training is a joke. JTAC's are the smartest guys in the military. You know how smart you have to be to become a JTAC. That's why I'm not a JTAC. I'm not smart enough. I do believe that he can remember someone's phone number because his and the other guys' lives depend on it.
But the Colonel should lose his rank.
Sounds tedious, I'm good.
I like that youe description of the military is relatively accurate and nicely detailed.
Guy in the right just trying too hard to sound smart and overall just come across as a negative person in general. It was a good movie in my opinion and in the opinion of many other reviewers. We live in a time where people think critics are scared to be positive about something they're reviewing incase everyone doesn't agree and go down the negative route because its easier to make and interesting long negative review than just saying it was good, worth a watch.
Like saying 'if you removed this character, how good would it be?' If you removed james bond how good would that be?😂.
YOU are full of SHIT!!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day to you guys. Hopefully you lovebirds will experience a wonderful day. I know you guys are not religious. But Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent, also was today. This is a time for reflection and letting things go and learning discipline. This is self love after all. I don't know if you guys need this or anyone else who reads this post. Overall I felt the urge to put this out there.
Russell has fallen off hard. He's so hammy. The only good thing I've seen him in somewhat recently was the film about the Kelly gang, which I enjoyed, mostly due to George MacKay. Thank you guys 😊
Edit: why did i think this was a zombie film due to the title? 😂
I liked Unhinged.
@jacobstaten2366 i missed it initially, so I'll check it out. Thank you 😊
I liked Crow’s character until the 5 minute left situation and how they dragged that out movie logic style. Then the ending of the woman asking him that question? Did I miss them building/having a deeper relationship? It was very surface level and the question the whole movie drawn out and then the final scene makes it less serious. But overall I think his character was great the first 2/3’s of the movie
@0:34 OHhhh 💨
So sorry to ask, but are you two planning to review Madame Web? It was egregious in every way but I would love to see your reactions! I understand if not😢
@@jonfreeman9682 I whole heartedly agree with you, my comment was from the day of release so in retrospect, I am glad they passed.
Liam Neeson? 🤢
Wrong Liam
@@Smspodcast_Liam Neeson had a random sad cameo
@@jujutaylor2186 oh nooo
Bad ass movie check it out
Bad Land
Good film, i think Russell Crowe was good in this
👏🏻🎥
My takeaway from this was to fast forward to the fight scenes and Russell Crowe chewing the scenery. That, or fast forward through him if he gets tedious.
@@jonfreeman9682 I wish the Extraction movies did that. The Raid did.
Hey guys, without being a fan of Russel Crowe, I'm sure that there are many people who will identify with the person he portrayed - that guy who is a little more stuck up on doing things the right way than others and for that reason is frowned upon by the "cool easygoing people". As one of those "lame people" I found the golf bat meets TV szene the most satisfying TV moment this year.
I thought he was going to use it on the Colonel.
