  • Wow, what a busy day!
I headed out into the Cotswold Countryside for a 5 mile hike around Winchcombe. Normally I would call my walking style a plod, but today really was a hike.
I used a guidebook and the full Vlog will be released at some point.
A change of path by a landowner without signage gave me a good navigational workout, I was covered in nettle stings through my leggings, and blisters all over my feet.
It was sure a good day!
I arrived home at 8pm feeling somewhat broken and hungry, and tech hasn't behaved. If this goes out before midnight, I'll be amazed.
(UPDATE: It finished uploading and was made public at 11.59pm and I was able to change the thumbnail with 30 seconds to go- get me!).
Join me tomorrow for more outdoor related fun!
    zzzZZZZZZZ

I really enjoy the walks around Winchcombe. I did quite a bit in the wet patch we had in Feb and blimey it was muddy and slippery in parts trying to get up onto the Cotswold escarpment!

Yes, I thought as I was walking, 'gosh, this would be tricky in rain'... I'm looking forward to doing more walks in the area. I've done the Windrush Way and hoping to do the Wardens Way over the coming few weeks.

@@slothoutdoors Hah! Earlier today in Gaia GPS I'd plotted a manual route from Winchcombe to Bourton! I didn't realise there's a trail - I should do that. I'm training for the West Highland Way & finished the Cotswold Way recently as a prep (but a mix of multi and single day hikes). I did see you had a good book on walks in the area in your video. Which one do you use?
