The Hammer is a very likable guy. Great to listen to. He had a long, successful career, and it's great to hear his awesome stories. Seems like a great guy.
Tugboat's matches had the same effect on the audience.

I somewhat disagree.
But only a little.
I met Greg when I was managing a Taco Bell. It was in the evening and the bus pulled into lot. He came in and ordered 2 tacos that was it. Very polite and took time to sign autographs. Class act.
I've always been a fan of Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. The most underrated wrestler ever who deserved alot more. He seems like N awesome guy who always has something great to say about everyone.

I love The Hammer. He has always been one of my favorite heels of all time. I was fortunate enough to meet with him and I told him face to face. That was nice. Also I'm looking at him here and I can see he made alot of money over the years and still has it. That Gold chain is nice and thick and the Rolex and ring are not cheap either and I know a little bit about clothing and I can tell his jacket is Custom Made and that Purple Blazer cost a Mint too. Glad to see him looking and dressing and still feeling like a Million Bucks ,while so many of my other Heroes are either dead or broke. I'm glad Greg The Hammer Valentine is not one of them. I met him at a house show in 1990. He cheated to beat Hercules and I was the only one cheering the Hammer in my section haha. Among the greats of the business, he truly is underrated.

He definitely deserves more credit than he did get at one time ,but it all turned out to be greatly appreciated later when they inducted him in The Hall of Fame where he belongs. That will live on long after we are gone. He is a great Pro Wrestler Greg The Hammer Valentine, in my Howard Finkle voice. Lol
He's such a nice guy. Hard to imagine he was a heel. But one of my favorites and an important guy to watch in the ring if you want to see someone make it all look real. One of the greatest ever. Top 5 in my list of favorites.
I've seen many parts of this interview....what a nice guy.
Used to hang out with ICP. Totally random fact. I always had extra respect for wrestlers who didn't view themselves as being above , you know, goofballs. They get treated A LOT better these days, but back in the day it was very popular to hate on them for no particular reason.

I liked Tugboat when they renamed him and teamed him with Earthquake. Even when I was a 13 year old kid I thought a grown man called Tugboat and dressed the way he was dressed was just silly.

@@CP-kb1du I believe sid visious revealed that the wall was gimmicked but they put an actual 2x4 that was not made to break away about shin high. Sid said he pointed it out to people and they said it was fine. The shock master was not told about this and went through the wall that was made to come down except the board that didn't break. Sid also backs this story up by telling that when it happened you can hear him say I fuckin told you off camera. So dogging out the poor big guy for that is tough in my opinion. He had to go through the wall full speed to make it look good. But hitting an actual support would stop anyone

Earlier this year Greg made an order from the company I work for. He must have handled his money wisely because he lives in a very nice home and has some cool 'toys'.
Can you imagine Sheik Tugboat falling asleep right in the middle of the main-event of Wrestlemania 7 against Hulk? Almost happened! 😂😂😂

I honestly didn't know either Tugboat or Bundy had narcolepsy. I am genuinely curious how they managed to wrestle with that disease. It would have made it very difficult.
My sister has it. If there is adrenaline involved its not a problem.
Mr. Hughes has narcolepsy also. Sunny said he would fall asleep standing ringside sometimes.
This explains why he ruined his gimmick in WCW as The Shockmaster, because he fell asleep while waiting to emerge and embarrassed himself and became a comic character, but narcolepsy probably caused this because Fred Ottman played both characters.
Tugboat has outlived quite a few other wrestlers. Maybe because he gets his sleep? 👍

Wrestling was so much better during the time Greg valentine was wrestling in WWf.
So much stupid choreography foolishness now, back then the matches were made to look real.
Not entirely surprising that Greg usually had a manager to talk for him. Maybe that's why Tugboat couldn't stay awake.

Tugboat was pretty worthless. He was big but other than that he had absolutely nothing going for him. He looked like he was asleep during most of his matches.
