    Your production quality is amazing, but more than that, your efforts really stand out. The fact that you care about the content being equal parts entertaining and honest is beautifully obvious. Bravo, RF9, keep up the good work.

      I completely agree. The bits added for entertainment do not dilute the information density of this video. So the video is not just fun to watch, it covers so many aspects over its duration, the good and the bad. All in all, a well balanced and high quality review video. Excellent work!

      yeah except they're unreliable pieces of crap

    • @twistednemo
      @twistednemo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +24

      Yeah, reliability has been an issue for me. But after my Duke's entire engine, two fuel pumps, display console and throttle body were replaced, it has had fewer troubles.

    • @twistednemo
      @twistednemo 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sourav Roy Yes, mine, a friend's and many others I would see at the service centre. Mine is a 2012 Duke 200 so the fact that it is an early batch unit is also a factor.
      I have been careful about the fuel level too. They have been unreliable I'm general. A friend of mine just takes apart the stock pump and replaces the motor with that from Denso. That does the trick. Maybe next time.
      Yes, 2016 bikes had many improvements. The Duke 390 had many issues corrected like the valve bending and camshaft scoring issue.
      Many parts are super reliable now while others are just terrible. KTM is just a little better than RE that way.

    • @DearMajesty
      @DearMajesty 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yeah KTM are WILDLY unreliable....far worse than Ducati these days actually. Already several well-documented issues with the 390 motor. I owned a KTM 690 SMC not too long ago and it was a complete piece of crap. The first gen 690 engine is crap.... constantly stalling and bucking and kicking until 4,000 RPM. Frankly I don't even know how it left the factory like this...unridable. KTM uses two computers so it costs you a very cheap 2 grand to even attempt to fix the issue. Now onto the supermoto issues.....and ALL of them have this issue. All of them have a leaking gas tank, broken seat, melting turn signals, leaking gauge cluster. Not to mention that the suspension was not up to par and the transmission was garbage as well with false neutrals a common occurence. I wouldn't buy another KTM unless a model had been out for some time without any major issues (let the early adopters bite the bullet)...unfortunately this is not the case. KTM = Keep Taking Money

    Still love this video. It was instrumental in my decision between a Beemer and a Katoom. I chose to go with the KTM, but could never figure out if I wanted an S or an R. So I found a '16 "T" version and got a 2nd set of wheels (alloys) for it. 3 years with the bike and it is still a thrill every time I ride it.

    I can't believe how tall these bikes are I went down to look at 1 to possibly buy one you have to be six and a half feet tall the touch the ground

      I sat on one today. At 6'3 both feet exactly reach the ground. Just. Lean over a bit and I'm on one foot though.

    Great review, although I would be scared to take this bike off-road as a owner. I mean how much does it cost to replace that headlight, or the dash when it breaks? We all know what off-road is like, you just can't predict everything. I be honest, with this bike I'm not scared that it would break my arm or leg, but my wallet. Looking forward for more bike reviews, well done!!

    I know everyone always says it, but my goodness, yall's production quality is incredible. Who funds this venture? Great channel, I watch your videos on bikes I'm not even a fan of, because they are all like miniature movies. And because you are the most honest motorcycle reviewer there is on TH-cam. Period.

      This excites me. I love my heavy underpowered pig and what its aftermarket availability, ease of maintenance and modification, and manageable price point have brought me. It did commendably on my 2600 total mile trip from the southern United States to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Lake Superior, though it was held together almost solely by zip ties by the end of it.. That KLR life!!

    It is ridiculous how much I liked a video about an ADV, when all I care about is trackdays on my supersport lol. Most of the bikes you review I would never consider owning but the videos are amazing.
